Happy Thanksgiving!

I have been down in the dumps the past few days. Ok maybe longer. I still am but I truely love this time of year. I love my family and my friends. Sometimes this seems like the only time I get to see them.

Happy Thanksgiving! Many wonderful wishes to all!

Sick...

I was so sick on Friday.
I had a fever but was freezing cold. Took two really really hot baths until we ran out of hot water. My hands and feet had turned purple they were so cold.
My throat and ears really hurt. I wanted to cry every time I swallowed. And I had a head ache that I though was from the fever but it didn't go away with the fever:(
I saw the doctor on Saturday morning. ( I love that my doctor office is open on Sat and Sun. Its not always my doc but if I am sick enough to go on those days then I really don't care)
I did get to see my doctor. He gave me some pills and the nurses gave me a shot. I hate shots ( I mean really really really hate them) but I was glad to have that one.
I slept all day Saturday. My poor kids, every time they came in I just waved at them and to them to go ask Daddy.
Sunday I thought I was better but I think that is because I felt so much better. I wasn't good at all.
My head still hurts and my ears are doing something weird and it still hurts to swallow. I don't want to have to go back to the doctor but I might have to.

My Kiddo.....

...got a nasty black eye at school yesterday. I thought I was going to kill the nurse. She called and she told me that he got hurt but didn't tell me he was ok, instead she decided to tell me the story of what happened first. It started with they were playing football and.....the whole time she is talking I wondering what happen to him and if he had any broken bones or if I needed to come get him and take him to the doctor. I had to stop her and ask if he was ok?

"Yes he will be fine but he is going to have a good bruise on his eye, and his glasses are bent."

I am thinking crap we just got him new glasses. They weren't all that bad. The ear piece was bent out. I just bent it back. All better...well the glasses are anyway. That is one nasty black eye.
Edit: They were playing football and some kid turned around and ran into him head first.

Post Secret

I am always worried that I am screwing up my kids life. Sometimes the thought overwhelms me.

Football

We finished 3rd and 2nd. The peewee team won and brought home 3rd. They did great! The midget team lost and took 2nd. They played hard and this was the only game of the season that they lost. Most of them took it hard.

A place....

...I would love to take my children.

I have been here before. Twice when I was younger and once in high school. I love it. I love the sites and I love the people.

Little Football Talk!

Superbowl Bound! My younger two are going to the Superbowl. Their game was really good. The first half they played really well. I got a little scared for a while when the other team almost caught up in the third quarter. The fourth quarter it seems like that their heads back in the game. They won 28-8!

The other game I watched wanting the boys to win but knowing it would be tough. They played really well and made some really good plays. They caused turnovers and fumbles and play their little hearts out. They also had a few bad plays and when I say bad I mean the other team recovers/intercepts the ball and runs it back for a TD. My husband was really upset. He seemed to think it was the coaches fault for the loss. He thinks he should have been calling other plays. AnObiter has it right. She didn't say this exactly (she was nicer about it than I am )but basically she says that the coaches volunteer for this they do not get paid and they do the best that they can. If you think you can do better then spend your time helping out and teaching the kids the game other wise quit your bitching! I am happy as long as they are teaching my children to play the game, to play fair and not cheat, and to be good sports win or lose. They will be playing for 3rd this week and seem really excited. They practiced inside do to the yucky weather last night. It was crazy watching them in full pads and tennis shoes and some in socks (since they can't wear cleats in the gym).

Humm

I don't know if I just never paid attention but Obama Just held a press conference. I know that he has a lot of information to gather and people to appoint to places but should he already be holding press conferences and his plan and how he is going to do it? The last time I checked he didn't take office until next year and Bush is still the president.

My dog is sick!

OMG.....

Don't get me wrong cause I wouldn't want any thing to happen to my dogs but I didn't want them because I don't like to take care of them and I do well to fed my kids much less 2 dogs (one inside and one outside). I am not a pet person and I hate to clean up after them. Of course they are my husbands dogs and he is going to take them to work with him and he is going to take care of them. Yeah right! I get so sick cleaning up doggy sick I cant stand it and I cant put him outside because it is too cold. My Hubby owes me big time....

Football- PeeWee and Midget

Everyone is talking about the big football games this weekend. I was excited about our own little football games. The Black Bulls had to win to get a chance in the play offs. They did! It was a good game. It was the first time that my kiddo got to carry the ball. He didn't do bad. After the game the couch ask him if he liked carrying the ball. I quickly answered no for him. The couch laughed and asked him again. Then explained why we didn't like it so much to him. That's my little on on the bottom of that big pile of kids.I think that it was the best they have played all year! They Halloween party after was a good way to celebrate.

The Maroon Bulls were going to the playoffs win or lose. They played well. Both the boys have made some good plays the last few weeks. I hope they keep up the good/hard work they are doing. I kinda feel bad for the other team. They haven't won all year and seem to be a little discouraged. They are a young team. I hope they come back next year and kick some butt! (I can wish this because my kids wont be playing midget next year.)

Go Bulls!

On a side note. I was really nervous letting my kids play football not just because of the possibility that they would be hurt but also because I have seen coaches get out of hand and yell and scream at the kids. I have to say I am very impressed by the coaches for both of the teams. While I have heard the Black Bulls coach yell I have never heard him belittle the kids in any way. The Maroon bulls coach hardly ever yells at all. They are both really good with the kids and have taught them alot. It has been a good experience and I think that all they boys will want to continue to play. Thanks Coaches you did a great job!

I would love to know what the Biscut Incident was....

Halloween was so much fun!

We went to Saginaw to trick or treat with some family. It was fun. The three older boys I didn't see trick or treat once. They ran off with the older kids and a few adults. The little ones stayed with me and my sister and Mom. I almost gave up on it though.

  • We couldn't find part of the costumes because they have been playing with them for a few weeks.

  • We had a flat on the way there. I was working on getting the van jacked up when a really nice man stopped and finished it up for me. I wish I would have gotten his name. I thank him who ever he was.

  • My hubby was late because of work. (I guess that is better than last year when he left as soon as he got there)

  • It was well worth all the trouble. The little one were really excited and had a blast. We made it down 3 1/2 streets before they started to get tired. We finished up the 4th one and headed home while the others continued for a few more streets.
