Sigh....I have been busy..

  • Ok so one of the little ones had tubes put in his ears yesterday.
  • I got him up at 4am so he could have breakfast because after 4:30 he couldnt eat anything because they scheduled him for 12 o'clock surgery. grrr.
  • He had 3 pieces of Cinnamon toast, 2 cookies, a yogurt, and a glass of chocolate milk. Can you say PIG.
  • We are supposed to be there by 10:30 so we need to leave by 9:30 with no stops on the way.
  • After I get the other boys off to school and give the little his last drinks until after surgery I start getting ready and get the hubby up...sorta.
  • The hubby gets up 30 mins. before we leave and ask if he has time to shower. GRRRR.
  • As we are getting ready to leave he wants to stop and get a drink to wake him up.
  • We stop and he forgot his wallet so we have to go back and get it. Then stop again and he gets himself something to eat too. I have more than one problem with this. He didnt ask if anyone else wanted anything and he was eating in front of a 5 yr old that couldnt have anything to eat or drink.
  • The big breakfast at 4 am worked cause the little one didnt ask for anything to eat or drink until after the surgery.
  • The other little one that had to go too not so much. He was hungry before we even got to the hospital.
  • Thank goodness for moms :) My mom took him to play and grab a bite to eat while we were waiting.
  • The MIL came too but she had to leave early cause we still were not in yet the kids were going to need to be picked up from school. Thank goodness for MIL's. She was not happy about this though. She wanted to stay.
  • Surgery scheduled for noon didnt happen till after 2. I was starving cause I didnt have breakfast cause I ran out of time :(
  • Surgery was quick when it finally got started. He was only away from us for about 20 mins at the most.
  • Poor thing. His ears hurt and his leg. I had no clue so I had to ask if they had done something to it. Turns out he got a shot there. Poor thing.
  • I may have held back a few tears when he was crying cause his ears hurt.
  • He had 2 pop cycles and we got to leave. We were only in recovery for maybe 30 mins.
  • We finally got to eat on the way home:) His choice McDonald's, of course.
  • He was so good all day :)
  • Now we are just hoping that this fixes his hearing problems. They will test it again in a few weeks.

Blah Blah Blah...

  • MIL's.. sometimes they are great, sometimes not so much. Well right now I am loving mine. She comes in handy being so close. You know for those times when damn it I have already started diner only to remember I forgot one thing. The kids can run and borrow it for me :) My MIL is really pretty good.
  • One of the boys will be getting tubes put in his ears tomorrow. :) and :( We are hoping this will help his hearing. If not we will have to look into something else. I am kinda worried about that.
  • He cant eat after 4:30 in the morning. He will be getting up early for breakfast otherwise I think the day will be unbearable for him...and me.
  • I pulled over on the side of the road today to talk on the phone because it was the hospital for registration info. A really nice cop stopped to check on me and make sure I wasnt stuck. It was raining. After he walked off I wish I would have gotten his name. As much as I like to complain about when people mess up I really like to complement them to their bosses when they do well :)
  • We had some great dentist appointments. Some were last week and some today. Apart from that scheduling mix up (the one where they scheduled us for after the office closed) they really are a great dentist office.
  • Only one cavity :( It will be fixed later this month. That was the earliest they could get him in. The rest were all good and the littlest ones brush their teeth the best. Hard to believe. They brush so well the dentist asked if I was still brushing their teeth.
  • Sigh. My oldest just came in and said I forgot his math meet this weekend. I didnt forget because I didnt know. He told me they would be having 3 more and he would get a paper telling me about them. Well he got the paper he just didnt give it to me so I didnt know to take him. Now he doesnt get to go to the other ones. I am really irritated at him for this. He got his bag and I found the note inside but he still insist that he gave it to me.
  • He watched me take it out of his bag with his other mess of papers. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
  • Cheating or Not Cheating? One of the boys had a paper to do. He had the rough draft that the teacher had already looked at and helped him with some but was hard to read and had alot of miss spellings. This is the only child that really struggles with spelling and writing so..... I copied the rough draft but corrected all the misspellings and had him help write the beginning and ending. He then copied it on his own sheet of paper. I see it as I corrected his rough draft before he made his final copy but for some reason I kinda felt like I might be doing something I shouldnt.

Life is a beating me to death....

  • Practices are about to start and have started for one.

  • My oldest wants to run track and play soccer.
  • He didnt know they when practices were for track because he only listens to half of what is said.

  • This drives me insane. Not just because he never completes anything I want him to but because it also affects his school work and sports. It also isnt very responsible and I think he need to be.

  • Dentist and doctors and different doctors and then back to the dentist soon.

  • The last time I made appointments for the boys to see the dentist they set the appointment for when the office was closed. I was pissed. They then couldnt see them all at the same time so I get to make 2 trips. Oh happy me.

  • Thinking of talking to the doctor about depression.

  • Is there a teachers union around here? . How much of students failings are the teachers responsibility and how much the parents and how much the students.

  • I think this responsibility changes from parents and teachers to students gradually. I also think that as they get older and are supposed to be responsible for the work and grades and parents are not as much a part of homework and schoolwork it is a teachers responsibility to notice when grades are low and when students are receiving zeros. At that point they should contact the parents. If parents dont know there is a problem until report cards come out then it too late.

  • Most of the time when I ask to see my oldest sons papers that I know he has not done so well on he doesnt have them. Either they gave it back and he threw it away or they require them to keep them in a classroom binder. One of his teachers is hard to get a hold of. That same teacher doesnt post grades until the end of the six weeks. This annoys me greatly.

  • By the way I love grades being on the internet for parents to access. You can see absents , tardies, and grades (as long as they are posted). If they had that when I was a kid I would have been in trouble. :)

Life

  • I saw the donut shop burn today :( I dont like the other one in town and sometimes when we were running late that place was a life saver.
  • I hate the weather lately. I wish it would stay like it was today. I had all the windows open and the heat and air off. Yea for the electric bill. I didnt realize that so many people were upset about their bills. It wasnt just me or my MIL.
  • There are so many clothes in this house but no ever seems to have something to wear.
  • We are finally going to get to see our new niece. The last time we had this planned we didnt get to go cause the hubby was going to have to work but then didnt. I am getting excited about it again.
  • This summer we are going to Disney World. My uncle and his family are going too. The kids are excited and I am excited to watch them talk about it.
  • My oldest got to miss 3 days of school this week. Tue and Thur for UIL and Wed. the entire grade went to a museum. Well they got to go if they did all their work and didnt get into trouble. That was the condition because sometime ago the school was banned from that museum do to behaivor problems.
  • The UIL has some great news and not so great news. He placed 2nd in the test that he took on Thurs. :) Greats little one! The not so great news.....well I kinda want to bitch about so....
  • On Tues he went for one test. It is timed. It takes 10 mins. 10 mins. He gets up to go to the bathroom in the middle of it. 10 mins I say. He couldnt wait 10 mins? I could maybe understand if he was sick or something but no he just needed to pee. 10 mins! He was disqualified for it. Sigh 10 mins....
  • The littlest one and I had a great convo today as I was trying to figure out why my kids mattress was falling through on one end. (a slat was missing and another moved)

Me: What happened to the bed? It wasnt like this yesterday.

Him: I can hold it (the mattress) up with my head.

Me: No thats ok I got it. What the heck how did this get like that?

Him: I dont know.

Me: (as I move a slat down) What happen? Did they break another one? (we have had to replace a few of them do to the kids jumping on the bed)

Him: I know where it is. (he goes and gets it)

Me: Where?

Him: Right here.

Me: How did you know that was there?

Him: Cause I'm a genius.

Did I mention that he is only 4.

Why???

  • Why do I do this to myself? I am so stressed out over stuff that I can not change.
  • My Valentines Day wasnt great.
  • In fact non of my weekend was great or even good.
  • The only good thing that happen was my little one got to go to a bday party and had a great time.
  • I let my children play in the snow for a while. We went out in it twice. The next day it was melting and a muddy mess.
  • Some children came and asked if my older ones could go out and play. Nope we had already been and just finished drying everyone and everything. I felt bad cause they came from a good 6 blocks but they just headed to the next kids house.
  • We bundled up and we didnt stay out for more than and hour or so each time but one of my kidos has an ear ache this morning and didnt go to school. Poor thing.
  • I was so ready for the kids to go to school this morning. My house has been extremely loud lately.
  • I am worried however about the kids grades since the last 2 days of the sixweeks they were not at school so all the late work I made them do might not be accepted, not that I would blame the teachers.

Life...

  • I have always thought my kids are pretty well behaved. Well I had a few surprises.
  • First the one of my brats flipped off his teacher!!!!! I couldn't believe it. She didn't see it but the other students did. I thought I was going to beat him. I spank my children but I couldn't this time due to I didn't know if I would stop....How unbelievably disrespectful. He knows better. That boy will be working his butt off the next few weeks along with being grounded.
  • Next one of the boys calls to ask (he was with his other parent) if he can be dropped off at the park to play with his friends. The answer was sure that will be fine. Out of all the kids who would be doing what he was supposed to I thought it would be him. I was going out but he said not to drive by he was calling him so I don't go next to the park just close enough so I could see. There was not one kid at the park. I was pissed and as I was going back home to see if he had talked to him I see him walking up the street. Turns out he was heading where he was supposed to end up but because he wasn't were he was supposed to be it wasn't the street I expected to see him on. Boy was he in trouble....
  • The other boy is just going to be beat. He never seems to listen to what he is told. Well half of it anyway. Either its not done properly or only half done. He has a trash can in his room that was so full he had another bag of trash sitting next to it. I told him for a week to take it out but he kept forgetting. He only took it out when I yelled and screamed and threw a fit and grounded him. Then he said he put it all together so he only had to make one trip. Great it was done, I checked didn't see any more trash. The little shit had the same freaking bag sitting next to his trash can yesterday.
  • All of my bigger boys have gotten lazy about doing homework and getting it in on time. I know that they are getting to the age where school work isn't as important to them and they want to hang out with their friends more now but that just doesn't work for me and the whole boys will be boys thing can fly right out the window because that isn't happening either.
  • These are the biggest things I have had to deal with so far as a parent so I guess I am lucky but damn they are stressing me out and I know that more is to come.

Stuff...

  • Friday we took one of the boys to see and ENT doctor for his hearing loss. I liked him. He was hard for the hubby to understand though. He was great with the little on that decided not to say one word to him. He did giggle once when the doctor acted surprised that a monkey came out of his ear when he looked in.
  • His hearing loss is not from nerve damage so it can be fixed. Right now he has a lot of fluid in his ears that could be causing the problem, if not its the little ear bones.
  • He may have to get tubes if the fluid doesn't clear up on its own but not yet because this is the first time the doctor has seen fluid in his ears.
  • He says that he doesn't even consider it a surgery and for adults he does it in his office but they wont let him do children there.
  • We are getting our taxes done this week :) Super excited about it cause we always get money back because we have so much with held.
  • Anyone know a place that accepts used toys? I will be cleaning out my young ones room this weekend because there just isn't enough room for all their toys. They are still in good shape though.
  • My kids are pretty good. Most everyone tell me they are well behaved and well mannered. The oldest one is pushing my limits.
  • When my hubby was talking the my MIL about punishing him she told him to remember that he will be old enough to chose to live with his mother in a year. I went crazy pissed off when he told me about it.
  • First I wont play the game of I am mad at you so I am going to live with my other parent game. If he leaves he will stay with her until he finishes school.
  • Second there are some other issues that would have to be addressed and she would have to take us to court.
  • Our kids have cores to do they are set every week and they usually have to help out with other stuff too. They are lucky and have a lot and get to do a lot. I don't think they know that and it drives me nuts.
  • I feel like i am just floating through life right now.

Meet...

my new niece, Emily! She was born Jan 19th 2010. She is so beautiful.
And this is just the cutiest little pic of her and her brother! There was another one that was sweeter where he was looking at her and patting her feet but you cant beat the looks on their faces!

What to do?

My kid brought me a progress report this morning. Said he drew on it and scribbled it out. It was on the signature line and just below. It was my initials. I could still see it through the scribbles. :( He says its not. YOU CAN SEE IT!!!!!!!! Grr. I am so mad. Its stupid cause all of his grades are good. 90+ His average is 99. There is a dance tonight and his friend is supposed to come over. I dont want to tell his friend he cant come now because he wont have a chance to make other plans for the dance and his parents may have plans now that he isnt going to be home. Any ideas for a creative punishment? For trying to sign the paper and for the lie.....I dont want to go over board but I want him to know this is not acceptable.

Something happen...

at the school today. A kid was hurt at BIS at the end of the day. I am not sure what happen but the child was going to be transported by ambulance. They blocked off the front of the school and traffic was backed up everywhere. Thats 2 accidents in as many months. Major ones. I am concerned.

****edit**** This wasnt an accident. It had to do with a child with a pace maker and it stopping.

Stuff...

  • The kids are stressing me out.
  • Hell life in general is stressing me out.
  • I forgot to send my kids homework with him last week and now I cant find it. :( He is going to have to redo the whole thing.
  • We got a new TV last week. Its nice but I thought it was LCD when I bought it. Its not its plasma.
  • That means it uses more electricity and easier for the kids to rune.
  • Its huge. The hubby loves it.
  • That also means we had to upgrade the dish because we didnt have HD. We do now! We also had them fix our bedroom satellite so we get tv in there too now. :)
  • The guy who installed the new Satellite took forever and did a crappy job. He even unplugged my dvd player and used the cable instead of just using one of the HDMI cables. I didnt notice cause well I was just ready for him to get out of my house. The hubby was pissed. At the guy that did it and me for not checking. Oh well we fixed it and I called and complained.
  • Our old tv was in a built in so we had a big hole with nothing in it since we hung the TV on the wall. We Fixed it this weekend. It looks nice and now we have more room for our DVD's.
  • My hubbys computer is in our bedroom now since the boys have a computer. I hate it. I cant sleep when he is playing because he pounds on the damn keys. I can handle the talking and the light from the monitor but damn it the click click click just pisses me off.
  • Did i mention that the kids are stressing me out? I mean really really really stressing me out.
  • I am going to be an aunt again on Wednesday :) The first girl :) I am super excited.

Crap I forgot...

A note from the nurse was sent home with my kindergartner letting me know I need to have his hearing checked. My thoughts were whatever he doesn't show any signs of having trouble. He talks well and is doing well with sounds and reading (well with school altogether). But I took him to the doc anyway cause they asked for the note to be sent back with the follow up info. Turns out he does have hearing loss. It is in the moderate range. I asked how much and its 50 decibels. Well how much is that compared to normal. About half. To me that is not moderate at all. That is a big problem. I have all kinds of questions but I am only getting general answers. I wasnt really too satisfied with them. But we did get some nasal spray and a allergy medicine. There was a little bit of water in his ear that may be causing a problem. We want it cleared up before he sees the specialist on the 29th. I am not real excited about this. I am nervous. I am making the hubby go with me to this appointment. I hope that this is not permanent loss of his hearing and that it is not progressive. Since the first appointment I have noticed that he ask what alot but that could just be me being paranoid.

NO F'in Way...

First off today was a bad weather day for my kids. Why? There may have been a little ice first thing this morning but by 9 the roads were clear. The weather people keep telling me its not getting out of the teens for the next day or so but it was below freezing when I was out this afternoon.

I cant believe they lost. I am not a Texas fan but damn. I got really excited and then was let down. They got so close and then just let it fall apart. I feel so bad for them. It was almost as if I could see the life drain out of them. Oh well better luck next time....Maybe more tomorrow.

I have something else to talk about but it needs a special post all to itself so it will have to wait.

I forgot...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
and
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Here's my long list....maybe made short!

  • Crap. Crap. Crap. I hit the back button by accident.
  • My computer is still f'ed. I thought is was going to be simple but the one problem caused a few more.
  • Where to start....
  • The last of school I was going to Christmas parties at school. They are so cute when they are little and my littlest one got to join in most of the fun. He was really excited about it.
  • When I pulled up to the next school there were EMT's caring someone out on a stretcher. I panicked. It was awful.
  • I get in and get the boys and talk to a teacher who wouldnt tell me who was hurt (but another parent did). I cant believe that a locker fell on a student. One of my children got to see it happen. It scared him. I hope that they reinforced all the braces for them over the holiday.
  • The kids were pretty good over the holiday. That is they all survived :)
  • I finished all of my shopping about 4 days earlier than I have any other year. Sorta.
  • Can you believe all the snow on Christmas Eve? It was so beautiful. It sucked to drive in though. We were at a family Christmas when the snow blew in. Good thing we were just going Moms after cause it took about an hour longer than it should have just to get there and it took my MIL more than 3 hrs to get from Azle to Bridgeport.
  • We let the boys have a snow ball fight that night but it didnt work to well because the snow was dry and wouldnt stick together.
  • Mom took a bunch of pictures only to come in and notice she didnt have the memory card in :(
  • They tried again but it wasnt the same because the boys had run through everything.
  • I managed to piss my hubby off and to get any sleep I slept on the couch on Christmas Eve....grrr him. He put the kids in bed with him.
  • Everything was smooth going and we made it to another family Christmas for lunch, and one for diner, and then one in Houston a few days later. While we were gone it snowed again so we came home to snow :)
  • While we were in Houston it was getting cold and we didnt do much which was fine with me because I was already worn out.
  • MIL wasnt happy about it. Her and the SIL were kinda fighting but kinda not. I think the MIL was getting her feelings hurt. She had alot planned that we didnt do.
  • All the kids have a cough. I think we gave it to my nephew. :( The SIL got really sick though and after we had left she had to go to the hospital. She is doing better now though. She is also off her meds to keep her from going into labor. She thinks she will still make it to her due date. I said no way.
  • We had another family Christmas on Sunday. I am going to kill my step mother. She got the loudest toy gun ever.
  • I just took down my Christmas tree yesterday. I made the kids help. We are missing an ornament that I know we had when it was put up. I think one of the kids may have broken it and thrown it away without telling me.
  • All the kids are back at school now :) I am enjoying the quite. Well Alex is still here but he is quite (for now anyway).
  • Yesterday I was talking to the hubby and he said he was glad to be back at work instead of sitting at the house doing nothing. ....I dont think we did nothing even one day of Christmas break. Crazy man.

Stuff the kids got for Christmas:

  • Computer to share
  • Cell phones -big boys
  • leapster 2
  • ipod docking station
  • cameras - all of them
  • wii games
  • movies
  • rocking horse -one of Alex's favorites
  • toys
  • clothes
  • games -rock-n-sock em robots and others we have played them all now. I like them.
  • itunes and money.
  • I am sure I am forget some but you get the idea.

Still alive

I havent forgot you but my computer broke and I am just now getting it fixed. I have lots of updates. Should be up and running on Monday!

Saturday, December 12, 2009

  • I need ideas. Ideas for someone that is high class and has everything. Ideas that wont cost me an arm and a leg.
  • Just when I thought I was almost done Christmas shopping. I am not. I just remembered that I have some more to buy for and one of the things I bought looks cheaper and cheaper and like crap every time I look at it, but it looked great in the store. Sigh, I hate making returns.
  • I am not doing Christmas with my Dad and that side of my family until Jan 3rd. I am not sure if I like it or not. It makes my life easier because it less to do on Christmas day but its so late.
  • I am starting to worry about some of the things I got my boys.
  • I felt bad last night. The hubby actually made one of our boys try on one of his Christmas presents to make sure it wouldn't be to big. It was really long but looked good on him. We told him we were going to take it back. He was upset and was trying to hide it but couldn't. He cried. I felt horrible because the whole time I was thinking it looked just fine.
  • We told him we were taking it back, but it will be under the tree next week. :)
  • My hubby stresses me out to much.

Tuesday, December 8, 2009

Stuff...

  • I have gotten about half of my Christmas shopping completed.
  • I know what I am getting of of the other half.
  • One that should have been easy I cant think of a thing to get.
  • I think my hubby is wanting to get me a new wedding ring. I think he thinks I dont like the one I have because I dont wear it.
  • I am just not a jewelry person. When I dont wear something for a while I end up losing it. :(
  • I dont want a new ring. I think it would be a waste of money and feel that it will hurt his feelings if I dont wear it.
  • There were only 2 things on my Christmas list: Camera and a Video Camera.
  • I dont think I am getting either one.
  • I was in Wal mart today..Yuck...When I was leaving there was a little girl about 4 looking up and down the aisle calling "Momma, Momma, Momma" I stopped and watched for a min then went to talk to her. One other lady came over just after I did. We looked for about 5 mins (at least) for her mother but couldnt find her. We stopped and asked an employee to page her mother he said he couldnt but we could go to the service desk and they would. When we finally went to have her paged the mother was walking up (I knew because of the way the girl described her) I was pissed and she seemed like it was no big deal.
  • Man there were a few people on Sili's blog that really let her have it for no damn reason. I want to slap a few of them.
  • I am waiting for her to get back to her usual blogging though, so I am glad she is going back to work and out in the world :)
  • I had another post but I am debating if I should post it or not because it is sad and emotional. If you know me you know I am good at hiding both.

Sigh...Life...

  • I hate paying bills.
  • Its so depressing to see the checking account afterwards.
  • I do much better when I spend cash instead of using the check book or debit card.
  • I like to hang on to it.
  • I dont understand how my hubby can think he can spend his whole paycheck on Christmas, like we dont have bills to pay just because its December.
  • I think we are not doing too bad though. We had some money put away. Think he and I had different ideas about it though.
  • He wants to get a new car this year too. I dont. I kinda like my van and I dont want to drive something as big as what he wants to buy. Since I have to drive it shouldnt I get a choice?
  • I do need to have some work done on my van though. The check engine light is on. I had to checked out and it can wait without cause any other problems but not to long because it effect the gas mileage.
  • I am excited about the season but I am never sure what we are going ot be doing.

Let it Snow....

Let it snow, let it snow. :-)

I am super excited about the snow. Oh the kids are too! They wanted to go out and play in it this morning. I said no. I let the little one throw a few snow balls off the car window when we got back from dropping the others off at school.

Wonderful big snow flakes were falling everywhere! They will be melting soon :(

Thanksgiving...

  • was nice.

  • We went to my SIL's. So it was her family, and our family and their parents.

  • The drive was still long though. The kids were great though.

  • The little one had to pee every 30 mins on the way back though. We finally just started stopping on the side of the road and letting him go. I figured what cop would give me a ticket for a 4 yr old peeing? right?

  • Man it always seems like my MIL is fighting with one of her children. Well this weekend I got to hear both ends of the fight. Man she is just crazy about somethings but I understand her point. I just dont agree with it or the reasoning behind it.

  • My SIL's new house is nice. Not too big (or small) and has a great lay out. Online it looked like it had a huge back yard. Its not.

  • We took the little dog with us. He played with their dogs really well for not usually being around other dogs.

  • I think I am going to give him away soon :( I dont think that we should have any more animals.

  • I am really pissed at my husband. Not only did he build a fence this weekend and finish it (and he never finished mine) but he also hung up Christmas lights. Why can he do everything for other people but cant manage to do them for his own family?

  • He also does his mothers breaks and oil when his father calls and ask. Along with other things, like fixing a water line for them after work one day (the same day it messed up) but it took him 2 months for him to fix ours when someone ran over it. I just dont get him.

  • I sometimes wonder .............
  • I was ready for the kids to go back to school and the hubby to get back to work.

Thursday, November 19, 2009

Stuff..

  • I took the dog to the groomer today. She did a great job.
  • He got to pick the kids up with me today to. They all loved it and so did he.
  • While we wait my little one and I went to the park and then visited my Grandmother.
  • My uncle fell yesterday and broke the ball of his hip joint off. He is having hip replacement surgery. This is his second bike accident. He was hit by a car a few years ago. I think its time he put his bike up.
  • My SIL is pregnant. She is due in mid(?) Jan. She went into labor early yesterday morning. It was not good. They kept her all day yesterday waiting on a high risk doc. He never showed. She was told to call and make an appointment today. She did and they havent gotten the referral. Sigh. I would say she needs to find a new OBGYN and a new high risk doc.
  • I am worried about her. So is the hubby.
  • I am not sure what we are going to do for Thanksgiving yet. There are so many places that we can go. It gives me a head ache thinking about it all. And well Christmas is even more to deal with.
  • My aunt is getting married to a man that no one in our family has ever met. I didnt even know she was seeing anyone and I am not sure she was. I wonder if it is a marriage of convenience.
  • We need to do homework now.

Rock and Roll Forever- How it all began

  • That was the name of the school play I just watched.
  • My fifth graders were in it. One of them was a dancer and the other sang in the choir.
  • It was great!
  • Up beat and of course the music helped keep the interest of the little ones.
  • I didnt hear one baby/kid scream (well that wasnt part of the play) the whole time.
  • The kids were great. It made me laugh and knowing more kids than just my own made it even better. We picked out the kids we knew and checked them out during the show.
  • My favorite part was watching the kids that were really into the dances. I cant believe that they learned them all so well. They only had 2 or 3 practices and one dress rehearsal.
  • The big surprise was that both sets of other parents came to watch. Grandparents too. It was good to see them so interested.
  • One of the boys even got to out with them. He is supposed to be home by 9:30. (that wasnt my doing)
  • Great Play, I am proud of my boys!

Stressed....

  • I am extremely stressed out. So much that I couldnt sleep last night.
  • I have a husband that doesnt understand that if you spend money constantly that you will not have any savings. It drives me nuts.
  • The boys lost their last football game. They played really really badly. It was like they worked so hard all season to just give up for the play off games. I dont think this one bothered them as much as the last one did.
  • On the bright side of Saturday, my other kido won his last soccer game.
  • His coach did show up though. There was supposed to be someone else there to take his place but they didnt show up either and no one else knew anything about it.
  • One of the moms took over and did a pretty good job.
  • The kids played really really well too! I think it might have something to do with the fact that no one was yelling like crazy at them from the sideline. It was nice and I enjoyed the game for the first time this season.
  • I thought last season was bad but this one was worst. It has discouraged my son so much that he has already told me he doesnt want to play again next year. I think I might try basketball with him or maybe even baseball.
  • I dont know what my other children will play in the spring. I know that one wanted to play basketball but he never brought home the form for me so he isnt playing. When we asked him why is wasnt playing he said he wanted to.
  • We are teaching our kids how to play Texas Hold'em. I am kinda iffy about it, because we are teaching them how to gamble but at the same time we are having a great time as a family. Well the older ones anyway.
  • We are playing Gold fish with the little ones along with a few other card games. Kolby has really taken to it and loves it. Alex not so much. He is still a little young and loses interest quickly.
  • I am really pissed at 2 of my boys. They made the A/B honor roll because they cant manage to do their homework and turn it in on time. The worst part is that on all the stuff I know about that was late they had it done just didnt turn it in. I mean how stupid is it to get and 89. Thats the only one that is a B and because he has been turning in his work late the teacher (not that I blame him) will not bump it up to a 90. GG son.
  • Frustrated...really really frustrated with them.
  • I have been shopping online for Christmas. My father in law , who doesnt even know how to turn on a computer, has instructed my MIL to start hers and do it all online instead of going to the store.
  • I like going to the store to look for something as long as I know what I am looking for. I hate to go and just search for something that looks good to buy.

Yummy..

I ate Cap'n Crunch Crunch Berries for lunch :) (dry too) Why? Because they are yummy and if I dont eat them now I wont get any cause the kids love them too!

Blah Blah Blah

  • We lost the football game last weekend :( I was disappointed. Not with the boys but just in general. You know when you really want something and then it doesnt happen? That kind of disappointment.
  • The whole team was really really upset. Nothing like watching 10-12 year old boys cry.
  • There were no TD's until the last quarter. They played their hearts out, but it wasnt the best that they have played.
  • I felt really really bad for them. They have worked hard this season.
  • We also had a soccer game this weekend. We lost it too :( I am used to that though and he doesnt really care win or lose. We only have one more game and then its done. :) I am ready.
  • I wanted to be done with my Christmas shopping by the end of this month. I wont be. :(
  • We have started though. The problem is we ordered it online and we havent gotten it yet. I have been on the phone to all the stupid people trying to find out what is going on.
  • When they say they are going to deliver it FedEx or UPS then I expect it to come to my house not the post office, SO I put my house address on the stupid delivery. Well they both now have services that they drop the package at the local post office and they deliver it. The problem is since I dont have a mail box in front of my home they will not deliver anything to the house (even if it wouldnt fit in a mail box anyway). Its really annoying. I dont know how much more I can take.
  • The hubby called yesterday and let me know they were firing people at his work (ON A MONDAY). I freaked out cause I thought he meant they were laying off again. They did last year about this time.
  • It turns out that some people in the company were having an affair. The lady's husband came in looking for a fight on Friday. Both people involved are married. The owner was there and was pissed.
  • There are rumors that she was involved with more than just one man in the company and one of them talked to the husband to calm him down about the one he knew about and was looking for. That man has some balls if it is true.
  • They were to both be fired, but things calmed down and she may be allowed to return and he got to stay.
  • The company does (did) business with the husband.
  • This situation is nota good.
  • I have more football team talk but thats for later.

Little Different...

These are ideas for the cheerleaders on the boys football team....

The first two are from Bath and Body works.

This one is $20.00 but only come in 2 different Japanese Cherry Blossom and Warm Vanilla Sugar. These are full size bottles.

This one is $15.00 and comes in 4 scents (scroll down and it shows the other scents in the recommended area) but the bottles are small.
These are from Bed Bath & Beyond.
I thought this was a cute idea and maybe we could get pics from Tammy if she has any of the cheerleaders and if not we could get her to take some the last few games. The bag itself was only $5.00. I would want to go look at these to make sure they dont look really cheep.

These last two were $20.00 each and from Bed Bath & Beyond. They are both cute and there were 4 that had the same stuff in them but the bag/box they are in are completely different, so they would have to be exactly the same or completely different (2 of them doubled).

Halloween...

  • wasnt great for me.
  • We stayed in Bridgeport. There werent as many houses with lights on this year.
  • When we had finished the boys were not even tired yet. :(
  • One of them asked if we were done. When the answer was yes he pouted and said next year he wanted to do what we usually do. (That would be trick or treating with our family in Saginaw)
  • I felt bad for him.
  • We saved the MIL for last. She filled the buckets the rest of the way up.
  • They got a bunch of crappy candy. Very little of the good stuff.
  • After we had gotten home and eaten a very late dinner our porch light was on (we leave it on over night). We got trick or treader's at 9:30.
  • I was surprised and a little put off. That is really to late for trick or treating. We had candy and still opened the door. It was 5 kids and a Mom that looked very tired and still in her work clothes. They got extra candy in hopes they would fill up fast and get home.
  • I threatened not to take them at all because they fought all damn day !!!!!!!!!!!!! Grrr.
  • We got a late start because the hubby and one of the boys went to a football game. It was a great game so I hear. It went into double over time. I didnt care because I was to busy being pissy about not getting a head start on the Trick or Treating. (and not getting to do what i wanted)
  • They boys were very cute and getting way to big. I didnt get a picture of them because I need a new camera still :(

I love this Crazy Girl...

This was Katy Perry's 25th Birthday Party. She does some really crazy ass shit that sometime seems really stupid but it usually makes me laugh. She doesnt mind in the least to make a fool of herself. This looks like fun! Oh yeah, I like her music too.

** I stole this link from Boston Legal's Ass.

Life...

  • We lost the soccer game.
  • I am wondering if one of the kids has quit the team. I havent seen her in about 2 weeks, maybe a little more. She is also in my son's class at school. I havent really seen here there either but that could be just be her being gone before I get there.
  • I have come to the conclusion that I really dont like the coach that much. At practice they only kick the ball around trying to score and then at the end they run. They havent really learned any skills for playing the game.
  • The coach yells a whole lot at the games. Not always at a certain kid but in general always yelling.
  • The boys won their football game on Saturday. They really ran over the other team. 37-0.
  • That was the last regular season game. They go to the play offs. :)
  • All the other teams still have one more game to play. The first 4 teams have only lost one game each. That will have to change this weekend because 2 of them play each other. We are going to watch this weekend before we go Trick or Treating!
  • We are only going to have 2 of the boys this year for Halloween :( The others are going to be with their other parents. One doesnt want to :/
  • I didnt buy them costumes for the ones I am not going to have. I am worried that they wont get a costume or get to trick or treat. I will be pissed.
  • The other 2 are a Ninja and Optimus Prime (a transformer). I have had their costumes for a few weeks. They played in them all the time until they started messing them up, so they got put up until after Halloween and then they can do what they want with them.
  • Great fun watching a 4 yr old in a ninja costume scream as he drop kicks his older brother :)
  • We usually trick or treat with my family. I love this. We (as in the adults) call this beer or treating because we take a wagon with snacks and drinks for the kids and well beer for the adults. Good times. Good times.

Monday Night Football!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ok so we had a game rained out and they scheduled it for a Monday night...Grrrr.
  • It was hectic getting everything together, the kids homework and fed, not to mention with all the kids here last weekend they drank the drinks I had bought for the game tonight, but man IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • It was a beautiful night and the game was great!
  • We played Alvord and they were undefeated. They boys were a little nervous this afternoon.
  • At the start of the game Alvord fumbled and Bridgeport recovered! We made the first touch down (but not the extra points) and things were good.
  • The Alvord scored and got the 2 extra points :( We fumbled and turned over the ball. They score again but this time they stop the extra points. In this they have a few really good plays and one or two run away plays. We went into the second half 6-14 Alvord.
  • First possession they tie it up though. The boys went back out onto the field fired up and ready to win.
  • Alvord get the ball and catch a pass to move them close to a touch down but the Bulls manage to hold them receiving the ball on downs at the one yard line.
  • Alvord get a touch back and 2 points and the ball back. Man I was pissed at this. I was sure they were going to get the 2 points and a touch down but they didnt the bulls held them then recovered a fumble (i think, it may have been on downs).
  • The Bulls score!!!!!!!!!!
  • The score is now 20-16 and Alvord has the ball. They are pushing their way through yard by yard and there was almost 5 mins left in the game. I thought they would get it but the Bulls held 'em.
  • With two major sacks Bulls get the ball back and the game is over!
  • Great game, both teams played very well.
  • Grats to the Bulls Black with the win 20-16!

This Weekends Craziness

  • Friday was Clown Day at school for my littlest one. Isnt he so cute!?
  • Football and soccer were at the same time this weekend. :( I hate that. I went to the soccer game and the hubby went to football.
  • The soccer game was ok. I missed a goal though so I am not really sure who won. I thought it was a tie but at the end they didnt have a shoot out they shook hands.
  • The little one tells everyone its my fault he doesnt know if they won or not. Lol. I guess.
  • My Mom was there. It was really good to see her. I was really excited when she said she was coming.
  • The football game was good so I hear. They won 24-0. One of my children made 2, yep thats right I said 2, touch downs. His first ever and I didnt get to see them : ...(
  • Then my wonderful husband and I had talked about 2 boys coming home with us to stay the night. They were going to play paint ball in the back yard again.
  • Before I could get back from the soccer game there were 4 extra not including my children coming and before it even got started there were 6 extra children.
  • The house was Crazy loud. That was 9 children between the ages 10-12, my littlest 2, and the hubby.
  • The neighbors house got shot twice, and their car once. I was worried when they came in and told me about the car but all was ok they cleaned it right about and when they were done they cleaned both houses, mine and the neighbors.
  • The good news is they didnt shoot any over the back fence, so the cops didnt show up. I still cant believe that they called the cops last time.....
  • Three of the boys didnt stay the night and the little ones when to the MIL's for the rest of the night.
  • The rest of the night all the others cracked me up. They played with the young ones toys, this includes a police helmets, bumble bee and optimis prime helmets, a chest armor made for a 4 or 5 yr old on a big 10 yr old, batman wings the open up, and many many others. I had to leave the room when they started pantsing each other cause I was afraid I was going to see more than I wanted to.
  • They had a great time. Or so it seemed. I wish I would have had a camera. Its top on my Christmas list this year.
  • The past few weekends the hubby has gotten up and made breakfast :) I really like this.

Stuff....

  • We rented a CO2 tank so we could fill the tanks for the boys paintball guns. It will pay for itself for the year with 2 fills.
  • The kids did really well on their report cards. This makes me happy :)
  • My little one got 2 Ns. :( They either get a check or an N. Thats not really fair. They both had to do with working quietly and listening quietly. He had never had to move his Clipord (a clip that looks like Clifford the big red Dog that they have to move if they get into trouble) and she always says he is so good. :(
  • For the good grades they get a box of paint balls :)
  • It was hell trying to get my oldest to get his make up work and turn it in. I finally had to call his teacher. She said he never asked for the worksheet that he didnt get and the work he did on Monday was still in his bag on Thursday. :(
  • The other 2 didnt do their reading logs...well they did them they just lost them so they received a 0. I am notta happy about it.
  • I got a note about conference (everyone has to have them in the younger grades). The first one was the very next day after the note was returned. One isnt until the 21st but they set aside an afternoon and the kids get out early on this day. The other I still havent heard anything back. I am begining to think that he just lost the note from his teacher about it.... humm.. sneaky little kids.....
  • They canceled Football last weekend.....but not soccer. How can they cancel football and still play soccer? GRRR...we are going to make up the game on Monday. I cant decided if I like this or not.
  • They also moved one of our games from 5:30 to 12:30. I dont like this at all. We have plans that weekend. :( We are going to have to change them.
  • The plans are... my step sister is coming down. I am super excited. I have not gotten to see her boys yet. :( They are almost a year old. I am thinking of getting their birthday and Christmas presents all at the same time, but I dont know if they are going to be having Christmas at their house because my BIL's religion doesnt believe in Christmas. I dont know how they are going to raise the boys. :?
  • I have been really bitchy lately. I think I need a good dose of family and beer. :) I always feel better after I spend some time with my family. I dont know if it because they let me bitch about everything or if its because I am genuinely happy to see them and when I am with them.
  • Ok I feel beat down after that last one so thats all I got.

Places I want to go...

I havent done one of these post in a really long time....

I have actually seen Big Ben before. More than once but I would love to see it again and to have the chance to share it with my children. I love the castles and old Churches in London. :)

When I was younger my family went to England to visit family. My cousin came along. At the time there recently been a bomb (I think on a bus, I was young and really did keep up with things like that). We were going up the escalator in the airport and my cousin's shoe was untied and the lace got caught when she was walking off and she tripped. It made a really loud bang and guards came running. Lots of guards. :)

I think the idea of the romance of Paris is what draws me here. I am certain that I will go to England again one day. I hope that when I do we can make the time for a train ride to here.

Much Better...

  • I am feeling much better now. I am still coughing and stuff but I am feeling much better.
  • The kids are much better too. :)
  • Humm I cant remember the last time I posted about the kids and their sports.
  • Soccer is the same. He doesnt really play a whole lot. The game was good last week though. It ended in a double shoot out. They lost. I am not sure the ref knew what to do and I dont think that it was done correctly. But at the same time I think the ref was a high school student so how much can one complain about it.
  • Football...did I post that they lost the Jacksboro game? It was a good game for the first half and then they just couldnt move the ball. :( They won last weekends game though. I thought it was a good game.
  • One of the boys is playing quarterback part time now. He loves it. He is so proud of himself.
  • I think the kids and their school work, or their lack of wanting to do it, is going to kill me. I wanted to beat one of them yesterday.
  • I am missing another football game today. I hate that but its really too far to go and I would have to get the other kids out of school early.
  • The thunder today scared my little out of his skin. I felt bad that I laughed.

Flu..........

omg I am sick. I have been sick since Sunday. I thought I was getting better but nope, I just had to go out and sit in the damn wind for about an hour. I hate being sick.

All but one of my children have been sick this week. 3 of them have missed at least 2 days of school.

The Doctor was nice enough to prescribe everyone in the house something but I think we may need to go back for more. :(

The hubby got sick today. He pisses me off. When I told him I was sick and didnt want to move and could hardly be up with out being sick he nagged me and still wanted all the house hold stuff done and wanted me to take care of the kids. Today he was not happy with me when I wasnt babying him and getting everything he might need. I thought his head was going to pop off when I told him to run to the store and get something for himself. :) Next time maybe he will remember that if he doesnt help me out while I am sick then I will be damned if I am doing it for him.

Thats all I got for now will update football, soccer, school, and family stuff and anything else when I feel better.

Unhappy....

Why are all the blogs that I really like going to private? What is going on? Does anyone know how to contact someone and get them to invite you to read their blog once it has been set to private?

Yummy....

Beefy nacho Crescent Bake

1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed nacho cheese soup, undiluted
1 cup milk
1 package (8 count) refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/4 cup (1 ounce) shredded Cheddar cheese

optional: Chopped fresh cilantro, salsa

1. Preheat oven to 375F. Cook beef and onion in large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring to break up meat; drain. Stir in salt, black pepper, chili powder, cumin, and oregano (the next 5 ingredients). Combine soup and milk in 13x9 inch baking dish lightly coated with nonstick cooking spray.

2. Separate crescent dough into 4 rectangles; roll out to 8x4 inches. Cut to from 8 (4in) squares.

3. Spoon about 1/4 cup beef mixture into center of each square. Pull corners of dough over filling; pinch firmly to seal. Place in prepared dish. Bake 20-25 mins or until golden brown. Sprinkle cheese over squares; melt in oven. Serve with cilantro and salsa, if desired.
Makes about 4 servings.

****edit**** The soup goes into the bottom of the pan that you are baking it in. Some get absorbed and the rest thickens up some.

This has been my favorite so far. I dont think I put enough beef mixture in them though because I had alot left over. I sprinkled it on top before I put it in the oven. This is supper good and I will try to get the picture up here in the next day or so.

Ok Here we go....

  • We have been busy and its been a while....
  • First of all football has started :)
  • The oldest one has had one game and they lost :(
  • The next 2 have had 2 games and they have won them both :)
  • They all have played really well. I am a proud football momma!
  • Then there is one more playing soccer. He had his first game on sat. They won :) He didnt really play much. He was kinda just standing on the field taking up space. About five minutes before the game he said he was bored and wanted to go home.

  • We had company this weekend. It was fun.
  • I drank way too much.
  • Egg is not fun to clean up. (this is part of the drinking to much)
  • I shouldnt spout out ideas that I dont really want to do. It almost got me into trouble.
  • It is good to have friends that can make fun of you and not actually hurt your feelings. :)

  • I found this really great book that has a bunch of recipes for ground beef.
  • We eat alot of ground beef so this book was a great find and one that I just happened by. :)
  • We have tried about 4 of them so far and 3 have been great and one was just ok but I think that I may have messed up with the amount of something so it didnt turn out quite right. I will try again.
  • This book is great because it all is pretty east stuff to do and there is a picture of everything in it with the recipe on the back.
  • I am going to try to put up some of my favorites very soon!

Sigh...

My computer got a nasty virus. :( Yuck. I am so used to having it that I am not sure what to do without it. I am going crazy. I even started a list of stuff to post on here. When it gets fixed we'll see how much I actually post.

Just bitching....

I managed to piss of my MiL and my husband yesterday. It is carring over to today and started the day off bad. Our oldest son asked my MiL for a pair of shorts that she had at her house and I got on to him about it(well grounded him, had he not been watching tv he would have been ungrounded before we went to football practice). The main reason is he shouldnt be asking someone else (I dont care who) for something he needs for school before he even tells us that he needs it. (they are for athletics, he has some at home but wanted a certain pair). When they are grounded they can not go to my MiL cause she doesnt deal with it. (not because she is being mean just because she doesnt want to. she likes to spoil her grandkids and give them whatever they want) It has now become a big deal, even though he has the shorts (the hubby brought them home for him) and is was wearing them this morning. Just let it go its a Freaking Pair of Shorts. Its not worth a fight.

Of course there is more to this story but do I really need to list the all the things that piss me off about it.

School....

  • The kids went back to school yesterday. :) :( *I am happy and sad at the same time*

  • I had one start Kindergarten. I cried big tears when I got home, and told everyone I talked to I was fine.

  • He did really really well and was ready. I had a hard time getting him to talk to me enough to even tell me bye.

  • When I picked him up he was excited to tell me all about the gingerbread man that ran away when they left the classroom. They looked all over the school for him. Someone caught him and they baked him. He got to eat the whole mouth and it was two colors not just one.

  • The teacher made my day. She said he did really well and he was very good and very polite.

  • The 5th graders were dropped off in the morning at the curb.

  • When I picked them up I didnt pull all the way up because I was 20 mins early and wanted to park in the shade. A bunch of people honked at me but there was plenty of room for them to go around and pull up there. It is hot and didnt want to sit in the sun. I had to wait and extra 5 mins because one of them was busy talking to his friend.

  • I got the "Fine." and "Good." one word answers to the How was your day question.

  • I never did get much more than that from them.

  • Now the 7th grader (OMG he is in the 7th grade!) Well he wouldnt shut up when he go into the car. Drove me crazy telling me about all the stuff that happen yesterday, including a schedule change because they didnt put him in his preAP science.

**I will try to get a pic up here later of them one the first day of school but my camera is having problems. :(

SPORTS

FootBall-
  • My kids coach from last year asked me if they were going to play. Made sure I knew that they had to be signed up and wanted to be sure I knew to put the head coach on the sign up.
  • They ended up on someone elses team. I was somewhat surprised. He (the new coach) coached my oldest son last year. I like him. I am not sure how I felt though because I really really liked the other guy.
  • I the old coach yesterday and asked him what happen. He said they were one of the first to go in the draft for their grade. It didnt help him that he and his assistant coaches all have kids in their grade so he had to sit out the first 4 or 5 rounds for that grade.
  • The boys missed a few practices when they stayed with my Dad. I was worried but they jumped right back in there and are doing ok.
  • One of their teammates broke his arm on Saturdays practice. :( Poor kid. I wonder if his parents are going to get their money back ? We havent played one game.
  • I am really excited to see how the team does this year.

MS Football-

  • My oldest son is going ot be playing football for the school now. Damn he is getting older.
  • We got his pads last night. Well they gave them to him and he put them in his locker. I didnt even get to check them :( Whats a Mom to do?
  • This is the first year that he hasnt been in a BYA sport. A few of the moms wanted to know if a woman needed to organize it to make it go faster. :) That is so true. When the moms were doing it, it never took that long.
  • He is going to have early practice before school. Damn I have to get up earlier. Sigh.
  • I cant wait to see his games though.

Soccer-

  • I only have one playing soccer this year.
  • I havent heard from his coach yet.
  • I think he is going to be in the next age group this year. I am supper excited about it :)
  • So is he.
  • The youngest one didnt want to play this year. Surprise. Surprise. He never wanted to play in the game last year. Maybe he will grow out of it, or into another sport.

Thats all I got for now. We have one more meet the teacher to night then I will tell you all about them. I am not ready for it. Sigh.

OK For Real now...

  • I havent been too busy, just not in the mood to blog lately.
  • We did get one of those blue pools. Its great. The kids love it. Hell I love it. Its really nice just to be able to get in and cool off a little.
  • We went school clothes shopping a few weeks ago. I am glad because now I dont have to fight the crowds and there was more to choose from. Last year waited for the tax free weekend. It was a mess and I couldnt find anything.
  • I bought all of my younger sons' (?) clothes from JCPenny's. I love that place at school time. They have great sells and their kids clothes are super cute.
  • The older 3 boys and I went to the mall to go shopping. Sigh. It took forever. They are not quite big enough to go to the specialty/named stores. So we went to every department store there. Man I remember finding alot of stuff at sears last year but man that store looked really run down and didnt have hardly any clothes.
  • I didnt buy all the school supplies until this week and of course there are some things that we cant find. My opinion about this is o' F'in well. I think the list is....well...BULL SHIT.
  • Why are we asked to supply the teachers supplies? What I mean by this is the 10 red pens, the dry erase markers, the card stock, rolls of tape for their tape dispensers, ect..
  • If 20 students bring 10 red pens that is 200 red pens. They are only in school for 169 days. Really teachers need more than one red pen a day? I know they need them for grading but damn thats alot.
  • The school should be providing the teachers with teaching supplies. I dont mind supplying all the scissors and glue or even the 3 packs of 24 and the 3 packs of 8 crayons. I know they will us them and go through them. I draw the line at rolls of tape. I am not doing it!
  • My kids were gone for 5 days. Well they left on a Thursday and came home the next Tuesday. They stayed with my Dad and Step Mom.
  • It was PEACEFUL! The house stayed clean. I got to have a date with the hubby. We went out with friends. I got to sleep in without having to be woke up a million and one times. It was really really nice......for the first few days.
  • By Sunday we missed the kids. I needed some little guy kisses and hugs. It made it so much worse that the hubby wouldnt shut up about it and was in a bad mood. He wanted me to pick them up early. Ok so I wanted to, too but I wasnt having any of it because I knew they had plans.
  • They got to go do some things that I had planned to take them to but found out later that it would be to expensive. I was really sad that I missed it but glad they go to do it.
  • On the too expensive note we are saving for a trip to disney world next year. We havent told the kids about it yet because I have looked up the prices and man they are high. For the seven of us to go we are looking at around $8000. This is hard for me to swallow, because I know there are alot of things we could do with that much money.
  • We are looking for cheaper means of going.
  • I am already thinking about Christmas. We have a large family and I would like to be done shopping except for the kids big presents before November. I know this sounds crazy, but life will be easier and less stressful for me.

Update

Ok this is an update because I am told that I need to up date this.

Is that a good enough update for you Michele?

We went to Las Vegas!

  • We went 4th of July weekend. The World Series of Porker was starting.
  • I cant believe how many players were there for it, but then again I couldnt stand to lose $10,000 in one day.
  • We saw a few of the big pros there.
  • Man the room where they were play was crazy. You could hear people talking outside but when you walked in everyone seemed to be much quieter. The only sound you heard were chips clicking together. It was neat.
  • We had a great time, but we missed the fireworks on the 4th and I really missed my kids.
  • We lost way too much money :(
  • My favorite part was Down Town. It has all the old casinos. Its not nearly as flashy as the strip though.
  • Most of the women are fully clothed, too!
  • The whole street has a theme. It was back to the 70's.
  • There is a screen over the street that is great shade during the day and at night they have a light show on it.
  • Everything is cheaper Downtown, food, souvenirs, and even the gambling.
  • The strip is cool too. It is flashy and most of the casinos have something special to see.
  • I would have liked to see more of them but it was so damn hot! The heat wore me out, not to mention the hotels/casinos were like a mile long each.
  • We didnt see any shows while we were there. I wish we would have gone to see at least one while we were there.
  • The only other thing I really wanted to see but didnt was the aquarium in one of the casinos.

Pool

You know those little blue pools that have the ring around the top that you blow up and you just put water in and it raises the sides. We have a small one. I think the smallest one that is made (8' x 30"). I paid $20 for it a year or 2 ago. We never used. I decided to get it out this summer and the kids love it. It is the perfect size for just the 2 little ones but when all 5 boys get in it, its a way to crowded. It also doesnt have a pump so we keep having to empty it and refill it so they dont get to play in it as often as they want to.

We are thinking of getting a slightly bigger one. One that is only a few inches deeper but several feet wider. I have always said that these look so ugly and I didnt want one but they are the perfect depth for the kids to play in. The little ones can touch and the older ones can swim (in the bigger one).

Long Time...

  • Kids are great. We are great. I am happy! :)
  • We havent really done a whole lot lately, but I seem to be busy busy busy.
  • The kids taught me a new card game. Golf.
  • I want to teach them Spades, but I think only one will have understand enough to enjoy it.
  • I grew up playing card and board games with the family, my children not so much. They play alot of video games.
  • I cant seem to get them interested in much other than video games and sports outside, but I suck at those. :(
  • We went to see the new Ice Age movie. I love kid movies, but I really love funny kid movies. That damn squirrel that chases the nut is back. It wouldnt be Ice Age without him though.
  • It was the first time we have taken the little ones to the theater. They were really excited. They got to pick there own candy and share a drink. So we ended up with Twisslers, Skittles, Starburst, Gummy worms, and a pickle. We went early to make sure to get them all seated and quit before the movie started so naturally all the candy was gone before the movie started. Man those little ones can put away some pop corn. We let them it was their first time :) I think I enjoyed watching them and talking to them about the movie as much the movie itself.

Party

  • We had a bunch of people come down last weekend. It was alot of fun.
  • I drank way to much.
  • So did everyone else!
  • I was to told that I was cock blocking someone. I hadnt heard that in a while.
  • The man who told me that is someone I have never seen even talk to a girl with interest in more than friendship. It was weird.
  • The girl he had his eyes on hasnt dated anyone since her break up almost a year ago. She wasnt ready for what he wanted but she was interested. Too bad he passed out!
  • I never get head aches when I have a hang over. I am just sleepy and grumpy. Well I am still sleepy and cant seem to get my body to do much.
  • I had planned on taking a bunch of pictures this weekend. I managed to get about 8 pictures taken. I fail.
  • My little ones were only gone for one night. I missed them though. I love hugs and kisses good night/morning. I dont know what I am going to do when we go to Vegas for 4 days.

I feel like..

I fell off the face of the Earth! My home phone has been messed up. It was busy for several days before I noticed it. Everyone had been trying to call but couldn't get through. I talk to the tech support online. I hate the phone company! I finally got someone out here to look at it. I have to have the damn thing rewired from the box to the phone jacks. The good news is that its no longer busy. I have line guard on my phone which means they are supposed to fix it. Well they want me to pay for it...I am really not happy about it. What is the point of paying the extra 2-3 dollars if they wont fix the damn thing? If they wont come and fix it I am going to be asking for my money back every month that I have paid to have that damn service on my phone. Boo for Embarq!

Its over...

All sports are now over. I am truly grateful. I love to watch all my children play and do well but man I am tired. Here's how it ended.
Older soccer team
  • The first game the oldest breaks his arm.
  • No one ever seems to know that they were supposed to bring drinks. (Not even received their drink schedule.)
  • Everything seems to get out of whack because of weather and the swine flu. Took a while for me to figure out if I was coming or going.
  • Undefeated Regular Season.
  • The oldest gets cast off and can play the play off games. (I think he wont play much because he hasnt been practicing and he hasnt played any of the games. The hubby says he better because he hasnt play cause he broke his arm play for the team. I would agree if he would have gone to all the practices and stayed with the team at all the games and worn his team jersey. But he didnt sometime other things (like tv and video games) were more important.
  • Won the first game of the play offs.-Great game! (this was the team that broke my sons arm). The oldest one played more than the younger one on the team. Both teams played there heart out. One poor girl kept getting hands called on her and she wasnt even trying to touch it, it just happen.
  • Lost the Championship. :( This was a great game too! I didnt like the ref though. He missed a lot of calls. The team lost very gracefully for children who hadnt lost all season.

The young ones soccer team:

  • Sigh. What can I say but I was really disappointed.
  • There were not many practices. We had more games than practices.
  • Most of the games were canceled.
  • The little one do not play make up games. This was the case until parents complained.
  • Had we not played some make up games we would have only played 3 games total.
  • The games that we did make up kept changing. I was never sure we were going to play or not. They scheduled a game the morning of one of the games. Not much time for parents to plan.
  • They last game it seemed like the kids had more fun than the rest of the year.
  • The last game is also the only game that the youngest one played the whole game. All it took was for Grandma to bribe him.

The baseball team:

  • The season was good.
  • The coaches were great. I think that they were the best coaches that have coached any of my children. (um Tim ranks in with them)
  • The head coach coached even though his son never played a game due to a broken arm in one of the first practices. He made the calls and was at every game even though his other son had games at the same time other places. Very stand up man. They all were. They were positive and encouraging. They played all the children even though some were better than others. They even made sure that all the children on the team were able to play in field at least once.
  • They won some they lost some.
  • They made it to the play offs. They were the last team in and had to wait till all games were played to know for sure if they would make it.
  • They played the last game great but the other team was better and won 6-1. They were the first place team in the other division.
  • I am not sure how they do the divisions for baseball here. I know that there are 2. I know that the play offs are between the two. 1st place division A plays 4th place division B. And 2nd place division A plays 3rd place division B. and vice verse.
  • The boys took the lose of the first play off game better than the lose of the last regular season game. I assume that its because they thought they werent going to get to go to the play offs.

Sigh. Did I mention that I am glad that all this is over?

Been busy and not so busy...

  • Trying to get all the end of school stuff done.
  • My oldest son had to make a scrap book. He has known about it since Christmas. They started working on it the last 3 weeks or so. It started ok but I dont think he understands that its not just a bunch of pictures thrown on some different colored paper. It could have and should have looked better.
  • Trying to reschedule all the games we missed for bad weather and the swine flu is a pain in the butt.
  • The little ones soccer team hasnt really done much this season. It seems that games keep getting canceled and practices never seem to happen. We had a game tonight. That made the 4th game of the season and we have maybe had 5 practices.
  • That is frustrating to explain to my little ones when they see their older brothers playing so much. Some parents are really unhappy about it. The dont usually reschedule the games for that age group but they also dont usually miss that many. :(
  • The oldest soccer team is in the play offs. They have done really well. The one that broke his arm in the first 5 mins of the first game is going to get to play in the 2 play off games.(not in the goal though) I hope he does well.
  • We had a baseball game Friday. They won. It was good for them. It game them some steam and confidence.
  • We had another one tonight. We were winning. They postponed the game for 30 mins with 4 mins left in the game. Then they started again and then canceled it before it was over. We may have to go back and play the last 3 mins of the game. Not sure though because I thought that the rule was if they are past the 3rd inning that the game is called a full game. I hope so.
  • We have 2 games on Thursday. Soccer at 5:30 and baseball at 7:30. We dont need to be early for the soccer game but the baseball we do. Sigh. Guess we arent having dinner that night.
  • Looking at my schedule the next few days gives me stress head. I am not sure I can do it all and be at all the places that I want to be. I also would rather do all those things without my youngest 2 but the MIL is going to be with me so I dont have a babysitter but she can help keep and eye on them.
  • The kids want to do alot of stuff this summer. I am trying to get it all put together. So that I will be able to keep up with them all.
  • One of them has decided that he doesnt want to go to his other parents house as much. He has been asking me for about 2 or 3 months now. It is weird because he has always wanted to go before then. I am not sure if something has happened or if he is just getting older and wants to stay at home.
  • He will be talking to them this weekend to see if he has to go this summer for all the weekends and if he has to spend a few weeks there. I am only thinking about this so much because I know that I am going to get the blame for it. The only thing I have told him is he is always welcome to be at home as far as I am concerned.
  • 2 of my children have always been given the choice of where they wanted to spend the weekend. I have always thought that was a bad idea because they were too young (since they were 3 and 5). I think that they are getting old enough to make the decision every once in a while. Not all the time. I think they should know their parents. All of them!
  • My hubby is working extremely late this morning. That means he will be home in the morning. He has more of these late nights since he started working for a different superintendent than he did before. I dont like it :(
  • Sigh. Good Night!

New Story...

Ok so I wrote a note to the teacher and she called this morning after talking to the little one.

  • They were playing on swings that they were not supposed to be on because there was water under them.
  • He wasnt just a little wet. His whole head was wet and the top half of his shirt. (I am sure from the dripping) His head was so wet that it was still dripping after sitting out for half of recess.
  • They were doing it intentionally. They had to be pushed really high so they could lean back that far.
  • They did it more than once.
  • His face looked like he had been mudding because he had so many splashes of mud all over it.
  • She also said had it not been so close to the end of the year she would have sent them all to the office.

I will be having a talk with him. He will be writing the sentences tonight and depending on what he has to say he may be grounded for the lie. :( I think grounding is more punishment for me. (well maybe not with him, he can entertain himself with out any TV or video games. Humm. Is thats really a punishment for him at all?)

A Bit Excessive....

Today when my kids were doing their homework one of my 4th graders brought me a paper where he had started writing sentences. He got in trouble at school today. He was playing on the swings and his friends were pushing him side to side while he was swinging (they were playing). He leaned back to move away from one of the boys and leaned back to far. His hair and the top of his shirt got wet. He had to sit out the last half of recess for it (there were others too). When he got in they were asked to sit out in the hall while their teachers (he has 2 teachers) decided what their punishment should be (uhh what was the last half of recess). Here is what they came up with. They need to write this sentence 25 times:

"I will choose to follow the rules during recess by staying out of the mud and water and not dragging my head through the puddles as I swing because I know my teachers, Mrs. Fry and Miss VanHoose, have asked me all year long to stay out of the water."

  • First off that sentences was typed for them on a piece of paper and it was 6 lines long. That means he missed half of recess and was to write 150 lines for getting his hair and shirt a little wet. (I cant see any water spots or mud spots on his shirt and its bright yellow so they would show up)
  • Its really long and has a bunch of by, and, becauses in it. If he would have written this sentence for one of his practice Taks writing papers they would have asked him to break it up into more than one sentence.
  • He has not been in any trouble at school before not even one note. He gets straight A's and E or S for conduct. The only thing that I have had that tells me he is any problem or ever even gets called down is a comment on his report card saying he talk frequently. (Not enough for them to drop his conduct grade though) This is also followed by he is a great student.
  • I am all for punishing my children when it is needed and I will punish them at home if they get in trouble at school but I find this to be too much. I told him that until I talk with his teachers that he didn't need to write the sentences.

I've got the blah's...

  • The kids are back at school!
  • My MIL won a seat to World Series Poker Tour.
  • The hubby booked a trip to Vegas. I am excited and worried at the same time.
  • The kids are back at school!
  • Last Friday we had a great baseball game. The little one got the last out:( but he played really well. He is getting better :) This was the kind of game that just came together and was fun to watch.
  • Then on Saturday morning we had an awesome soccer game. They had to work for every point and it was a close game the entire game. By far the best game I have watched this year.
  • After I went to a Bday party that I had forgotten about. It was fun and I enjoyed myself.
  • I have no idea when I am going to have my own kids Bday parties. One was at the end of last month and the other coming soon. We always have one party for both of them. We have been extremely busy and so much going on we havent had a weekend to have one:( My poor kids.
  • Mothers Day was ok. I got to stay in bed till noon. I was awake by 10 just didnt get out of bed. It was a nice lazy day!
  • My dog is barking up a storm right now. That is very usual for him. I wonder if someone/thing is out there. I am not checking cause I am the only one up.
  • My son didnt feel like getting all the trash cans from the street last week when he was supposed to. When the one he did bring up was full he just put the trash bags on the ground. There is trash everywhere now. He has to pick it by himself. He is unhappy and wants his brothers to help. They arent going to. (They switch chores every week.)
  • I have added one for one of the little ones. He has to make sure all the clothes stay out of the bathroom floor after bath time. Sometimes he is excited sometimes not so much.
  • I had a little one with an inner ear infection. Poor thing. Ear aches are the worse. He cried all night one night.
  • Thats all I got for now.

Its been a while

  • Ok so either I have been really busy or really lazy...you guess which one.
  • I cant believe all this stuff about the swine flu.
  • They have cancelled all of our youth sports until after May 11th.
  • They will give a new schedule out sometime after.
  • They cant even have practice.
  • They haven't closed our school..yet. Someone told me today they wished they would.
  • I am not worried about the swine flu too much. I wont be unless my children get sick.
  • My son turned 5 yesterday. :( Big Mommy tears. He is super excited though.
  • After getting his presents (and he was happy with them) he turns and ask where the rest of the stuff on his list was. I had to make myself not laugh because he wasn't being ungrateful he just thought he got every thing he ask for.(And he was so damn cute when he ask) After I explained that he only gets some stuff on the list and that other family would bring him some of the stuff but not all of it he went right back to playing happy as could be.
  • He also got to remove his booster chair from the car.
  • This morning he sat in the middle between 2 of his big brothers. Huge smile and talking about it the whole way. I am not going to be ready for him to start school next year.
  • I have been super happy lately but really stressed.
  • I have more to say but I will save it for later!
