Life and Stuff...

  • We went to the Rangers game Friday. It was great until the 7th inning. They just gave it away.
  • We were almost late getting there.
  • I dropped the kids off and had to go back home ot get my jacket in case it got cold. Turned off the van so I could unlock the door and it would start when I came back.
  • The battery was dead and wouldnt even jump off. Grrr.
  • I had to have the MIL take me to meet the hubby.
  • That was a fun ride. She was pissed. She wasnt happy with me but never would say anything about it to me and was really pissed at the hubby.
  • I dont think she said one thing to me except to bitch about the hubby. At least she was watching the kids for us so they were there too. We played a few car games to pass the time.
  • Football was just as bad. The coach had knee surgery and wasnt at the game.
  • We lost. Bad. It was like the kids didnt even play football. The other coaches were mad. Today at practice is not going to be fun.
  • Oh yea I have to make a few phone calls cause we moved practice.
  • The drama between my MIL and SIL is better. Not fixed but better (I think).

Stupid Phones...

I hate my phone. Its AT&T. The service really sucks out here. After school lets out you cant even make a phone call. Any other time you can make you call but half the time it give a network is busy or drops the call in the middle. It didnt used to be that way. I hate it. When the contract is up I am switching services, until then I am going to start asking for 10 cents every time I cant get through or my call drops when it shouldnt. That should just about cover my bill....

That being said my sons are on Sprint. One of them lost his phone today at the football game. Grrr I was mad. We looked everywhere for it. I finally gave up. The hubby texted it asking for the phone back. Nothing. Tried one last time this time offering $20 and that it would be turned off in an hour. Just before the hour was up he got a phone call. Now the boys that had the phone found it because it did fall out of his pocket but they had planned to keep it. I dont know how kids can be so dishonest these days. If my children find something that doesnt belong to them they always return it or turn it in (I know because they have). When they gave the phone back it had nothing but the last text in it. No number, no screen savers, no previous phone calls, not even the first text my hubby had sent. The boys that returned it had been over where my son had lost it. We had even asked it they had seen it. My hubby had said he had seen them with a phone and they shoved it in their pocket as he was walking up and he couldnt see it well enough to know it wasnt theirs. Little do they know my son actually knew one of the boys. We will be talking to his parents and hopefully learn who the other 2 were as well so that we can let their parents know.

***edit*** This is the reason I didnt want my kids to have phones in the first place.

Stuff...

  • I went up to the school today to do AR reading. We got to read but not take test because the power went out :(
  • Coming home it looked like someone had knocked a power line down.
  • When is too early to start drinking?
  • My hubby called yelling at me this morning. I hung up on him.
  • That made it all that much better.
  • When he called back I kinda lost it. I am the quiet one, especially if I know I screwed up, but I wasnt having it this morning. My answer to him was if he wanted to talk to me than fine but I wasnt listening to him yell at me.
  • He was just having a bad morning and I was the one he let it out on.
  • I got another phone call full of I am sorrys. I was still in a fowl mood about it though so my opinion was still yea I know you are sorry and I dont want to talk to you right now.
  • I also forgot to buy a pumpkin this weekend for the littlest one. They needed on for school. So I had to go get one and take it up there. They didnt have any small ones in town.
  • Its going to make a big mess when he drops it. :( Yes I just said when because his little arms barely fit around it and it was heavy. He insist on carrying it too.
  • I have gone from one extreme to the other with post. I didnt post at all and now I have posted 3 times in a matter of days. I will have another post tomorrow too. That is if I remember my camera. :)

Just becasue the day sucked...

x3....:)

The Football Drama Rant

We had a player hurt a few weeks ago. It was during our first game. We played Jacksboro. There is a boy that plays for Jacksboro that seems to be hurting alot of players. He aims for the knees. He has injured (season ending injuries) at least 3 boys in the last 3 years. Usually one in every game gets hurt enough to come off the field for the game.

The mother of the hurt player wrote a letter to the Index. She wrote about how the boy was doing this intentionally and the coaches were telling him to do it. She proceeded to say how her son was the star of the team. How he played both sides of the ball and when the ran the ball he got 20-30 yards and then they would give it to someone else and they would lose the yards. She talked about her boy worked out and how her husband was a coach and how there was no ice or medical personnel to check on him there.

The Jacksboro team wasnt planning on coming to the games on Saturday because of this letter. They only showed up after getting a phone call. She has no place saying that about the other coaches. Has she ever heard them tell a player to hurt someone intentionally? Has she ever seen them practice to hurt someone? No. I dont think any coach would say something like that to a child. Does something need to be done about the child that continues to hurt other players? Yes, but someone has to bring it to the commissioners before they can do anything about it. I have my opinion about what needs to happen but it depends on answers to other questions.

I feel that she owes the players on our team an apology. They work their butts off every week. They play hard. The 3 games they have won, have been won without her son. He is not and was not the star of the team.
As far as not having ice or medical personnel, where did she get that ice from? Thats right the concession stand, about 15 feet (if that) from the field. The same place that others get ice for injuries. The head coach of our team (the one her son is on) is the medical guy she says wasnt there, but when your husband and you take you kid off the field and away from him he cant exactly look at him and check him out.

This team mom didnt show up to our game...I have one thing to say about that..chicken shit. Oh yea did I mention she asked to keep her name out of the paper. As team mom I refrained from writing my own letter because mine would not be anonymous and I am certain would cause a rift in our team. The team doesnt deserve that.

I am angry and embarrassed by her letter. Our coaches require the players to be respectful. Respectful of other players, teams, coaches, parents, and teachers. Require it. If they see/hear of any disrespect they are punished (with running or work outs) Her letter showed just the opposite.

I am not saying that something doesnt need to be done about the boy injuring other players but she went about it the wrong way and she bashed other children while doing it. Two of which happen to be mine.

One more thing...how is she going to call out one kid (she gave his team and jersey number) but not give her own kids name. She has effectively made it where when her son does get to start playing again that her son wont get to play in the game during play offs against Jacksboro. How can he, if he gets hurt she will say they did it intentionally just because he is the best or because she wrote that letter.

Life and Stuff....

  • I had a busy weekend.
  • My SIL and family came up from Houston.
  • It was pretty nice. Better than I thought it would be since her and the MIL arent really getting along very well.
  • We had football again on Saturday. They won. It was a good game. I enjoyed watching it. Drama there that I will post about later.
  • The boys were in Wise Family Magazine. (the football team) It was a really good picture of both my boys on the team. :) Another Mom brought a copy for everyone that was in the picture. I love her for that.
  • I am looking for a few more copies because I know a few others would love to have a copy. If you know where I can find it please let me know :)
  • Dont get me wrong I love our park here in Bridgeport. They did a really good job with it and the kids love it. We went to Azle the see the SIL before they left. We met at the Azle Central Park. That is one of the nicest parks I have been to. If you get the chance or have a reason you should check it out. (if you have little skaters they have a skate park there too) I believe they have also just redone the Shady Grove Park but I havent been to it lately.
  • Guess what else I am doing today...yep thats right more football.
  • My family went camping this weekend. We used to go with them all the time but now it just seems like we are always busy. I hate that because I miss them and the boys love to go camping.
  • The more pictures on facebook I see the sadder I get that I didnt get to go.
  • I need a nap.
  • Are the Rangers really going mess this up?

Life and Stuff...

  • Its been a while.
  • I have been busy and trying to not rant about every problem in my life.
  • Football has gone ....ok I guess.
  • I have decided my life is all about football.-Mon. practice, Tue. game, Wed. Yea! No football, Thurs practice, Fri High School Football, Sat. PeeWee, Sun. NFL. Yep thats too dang much football.
  • The boys lost Sat. It wasnt even close. The other coach was kinda sorry too. Why would you start a game with an on sides kick? I mean if you losing or something then maybe but he told his kids to only do on sides kicks and once even told a kid that if the ball came off the ground he was out for the rest of the game. Man PeeWee can be harsh, but they are also some of the funnest games to watch.
  • Something has been eating at me for about a week now. I havent said anything about it yet because every time I think about it I lose it. Its dealing with family and I dont want to put that rift there but I am going to have to.
  • I have decided that I like 8th grade ball much better than 7th grade. This year they seem to play better and have a better idea of what is going on. I think that has to do with there arent 40 kids on the same team.
  • I have been helping my little ones class with AR reading. I like it more than I thought I would and it really helps his teacher. :)
  • I think I am going to be playing with my blog soon. Change up the colors and stuff. I am thinking blue. I love blue.
  • I love love love little kisses and hugs. My littlest man has decided he needs one every time he walks by. Keeps my smile :)
  • It also helps that the hubby has now decided that the littlest one is a Mommas boy. He says the others arent. As much as I want him to be wrong, he isnt.

I dont put up with shit from my kids and I am not putting up with it from others either.....

I have been subbing. Its kinda nice. It gets me out of the house and I get some money too :) The kids can get loud and sometimes not do what they are supposed to. I leave a note about them and go on with the day. No big deal. I am pretty laid back in the classroom. I dont say much when they talk and they can listen to their ipods as long as they are working. They get to use their phones to look up stuff as long as they arent texting on them I dont really care. I will be damned if those kids are going to get attitude with me or be rude to me. If I ask you not to say something that is inappropriate. Then just dont say it. Dont tell me you will say it if you want to and when I tell you that you will be sent to the office dont tell me you dont care, cause thats right where you will be going. I havent been subbing long enough to send kids to the office but I did today. Then the other kids were talking in spanish and I couldnt understand them. Grrr I hate that. I am subbing for the same teacher in a few weeks. Oh what a joy that will be.

Monday, September 20, 2010

  • I subbed again today.
  • It was my favorite day so far.
  • The kids are old enough to know they need to stay in their seats and quiet but still be scared of getting into trouble.
  • I thought I was subbing for an English teacher, didnt notice she was a science teacher till the end of the day. They were reading Time for Kids and she was my sons English teacher in my defense.
  • The faculty bathroom smelled like crickets. YUCK....I feel for those teachers.
  • The room I subbed in smelled kinda like bubble gum. Her room is super cute too. :)
  • I sub for her again in a few weeks.
  • Pissed at my hubby right now.
  • We let our oldest shower in the morning but he didnt get up and doing this morning so we were running late.
  • He told him he could shower in the morning again after I said not like 5 times.
  • When the kids get to bed we are having a talk. Jack ass. I hate when he does that stupid shit...
  • Not just the you can after she said no.. the I dont have to deal with it so you can stay up late and blah blah blah.
  • Ok so I got busy and didnt finish this.....sleepy...more later...maybe.

Life...

  • Ok its been a while. I have neglected all my online stuff. The blog, facebook, even my game. I wrote a post but never got around to finishing it so I will try again.
  • Football stuff...PeeWee is going ok. They lost the first one but one the second game.
  • The first game was a beating. The second was much better than the first but I wouldn't go as far as saying it was a good game.
  • Middle school is much better than last year. There are not as many kids playing football this year. I guess 7th grade kinda weeds them out.
  • My child had the option to play 2nd/3rd sting A team or 1st string B team. I am happy with his choice. I wonder if others were given that same option because some of the kids on the B team I would have thought would be on the A team.
  • Their first game (scrimmage) was rained out. While sitting in the car waiting for the rain to die down a little I called the coaches to see what was going to happen. It was 5:30 and his answer was "Even if we went out there right now we wouldnt start for 30 mins. If we havent started by six we arent going to play but right now we are waiting out the Tornado Warning."
  • Tornado Warning really? Geez. And if you arent going to start for 30 mins any way and its already 5:30 wouldnt that make start time 6. So unless that are starting now they arent playing but you still havent called the game because you are waiting on the Tornado Warning while a bunch of parents wait in the parking lot?
  • Ok no more rants about the middle school football coaches because I really do like them.
  • On the Team Mom front....Getting some people to turn stuff in on time (or at all) is a pain in the butt. I feel like such a pain in the butt when I call and tell people I need.... it was due last night.
  • I am also very surprised by how many people actually sold all of their fund raiser. Go parents. You did a great job.
  • We order shirts every year. Just t-shirts that have some football thing on the front and the team roster on the back. I got the shirts back and they were not what I ordered. :( They still look good just not what I wanted because our coach likes everything for our team to be different than everyone elses.
  • They offered to reprint them for me or discount the shirts actually they offered to do both. Instead at the end of the season party they are going to print the boys some shirts for free.
  • I feel like I have been a pain in the ass to this place and they have been nothing but nice and helpful so here is to Ink N Stitch. Thanks for all you help and hard work.
  • I have been subbing. Some of it I like some of it not so much. I love the half days.
  • One of the teachers I subbed for I will not sub for again. Not that I didnt like her or the students just felt like I was being taken advantage of by another (one of her aides)
  • Kids try every thing to get out of class and doing their work. I dont remember being like that when I was a kid but I am sure I was.
  • In the High School sub folders they need to add slips for writing students up and sending them to the office. I would have sent one or two yesterday.
  • I have learned that when the older kids ask to listen to music or work in pairs the answer is no.
  • One of the Ace teachers has no clue of what some of the kids are learning and cant help them at all. I feel for those kids. They are there to speed up the process so they can graduate early/on time.
  • I am trying e-meals.com. Sili posted about it. I love it. This is the first week still though.
  • I used the Walmart list even though I hate going there. The list was broken down into sections. The items were in order. I didnt have to go back and forth to different isles or even on the isle itself. It was in order the items were on the shelf.
  • I was kinda iffy about the dinners though. Heres what we have had so far

    • Dirty Rice and Sausage w/ Grape and Walnut Salad- it was yummy.
    • Mozzarella and Basil Pannini- These were good too but next time I will have
to leave the basil out of the kids.
    • Delicious Soup- this was not so Delicious..at least to me. The kids ate it
ok but it seemed kinda bland or something I couldnt really put my finger on it.
I will replace it if it ever shows up on the list again.
    • Cheesy Chip Chicken- I was worried about this one. Who would have thought
coating chicken with cheese pringles would be good. It was excellent. The kids
and the hubby liked it. This was quickly added to the we gotta have this again
      list.

  • So these meals have be different than what we are used to but thats what I was looking for. I have stuck to the recipes even when they have stuff I dont typically like.
  • Tonight we are having shrimp. My oldest son has been waiting all week for this. He already asked what time dinner was going to be this morning.

***edit: I was going to make the e-meals thing a separate post but it wont let me paste and I am not retyping it :) I know this post is way to long.

It's Friday :)))

  • Its my sister's birthday. Happy Birthday Sister :) Thats her foot there in the picture. (I would put up the one with her face in it but she might kill me) Pic came from dfw.com.

  • She is 30 this year.

  • She also reminded everyone a few days ago that this is her birthday month.

  • In my family we females get a whole month for our birthdays. :) I do love this. Thank you Mom! Thank you Will!

  • See it took Mom getting presents early every year and Will being good to buy them for her and when her birthday came around still getting her a birthday present because you cant not open a present on your birthday.

  • I love my family, not just for the presents, they are really great.

  • Moving on..

  • I was a sub this week. I was nervous because I had never done it before.

  • It was easy. (Only because I was with another teacher and the teacher I was subbing for left a detailed list and instructions)

  • I loved the kids. I got to work with them more than normal because I only had 6 kids (max) at a time.

  • I dont know if it is because school just started but they were all good and full of information.

  • One of them was a triplet. Man I couldnt handle 3 at a time. I would have lost it.

  • My Dad moved this week. It was quick. I only found out they were moving about 2 weeks ago...if even that.

  • That means my step sister is moving there instead of here (when she gets to move). I was looking forward to seeing her.

  • Her trial is soon. Well Pretrial. We are hoping that this ends now and there wont be a trial trial.

  • We have our first football game this weekend. I am excited.

  • The boys are ready.

  • I am the Team Mom. I think I have mentioned that before.

  • I have been planning games, drinks, shirts, chain gains, announcers, fund raiser stuff (which is changing). Its not bad.

  • I love when parents volunteer for stuff. I did have to ask but I found a few to do what needed to be done.

  • Parents that help out with kids activities are the best. Makes me love 'em.

  • I am missing my babies right now. Big Boys...as one would correct me. He isnt a baby any more.

Grr..

When it comes to the school and teachers I dont complain about much. This morning however I am irked. I am not a mom who overly babies my children. Most of my children were great with being left at school. They were excited and ready to go back every morning. It only took a day or two and they were ready to be dropped off at the door and walk in on their own. The exception, my youngest son. He is super excited about school every afternoon and he loves it but he a little unsure about going in the morning. The first 2 days broke my heart but after that he was fine with me walking him down and he would sit with his class. I even tried just walking him to the hall on Friday but he wasnt ready for it. By the end of the I will have gotten him used to walking all by himself but he wasnt ready today. The lady at the door wouldnt let me in. She said I had to go to the front and sign in. The problem with that is I wont be dropping him off at the front door. It does him no good to get used to something that isnt going to be happening. I have five kids and this is the first year I have ever been told I have to sign in to walk my kids to class the second week of school. I wouldnt even mind signing in if I could do it by the back door that he is going to be dropped off every morning.

Today only worked because his teacher happen to be coming in the building when I was talking to the door lady. (Man I have some bad feelings for her even though I know she is just doing her job.)

Tomorrow I am going to sign in and then park by the door he goes in and walk him to class. I have a feeling she is going to give me shit about it though.

Better

  • The first days of school were great.
  • The kids are all excited.
  • The little one was really excited but when I asked him if he was going back he said "NO!" :(
  • He meant it. The next day he woke up saying he wasnt going to school.
  • I have never had one that did that and I have 5 kids. :(
  • I kept telling him he was and he kept telling me he wasnt. He wasnt getting dress, he wasnt getting in the car, he wasnt getting out. A strong "Yes you are." fixed all those.
  • When we got to his hallway he stopped. He was like dead weight. Would not move at all. When we finally were in the class and I needed to leave he cried. Not alot just enough to make me cry like a little baby when I got to the car.
  • Yesterday was harder than the first day of school.
  • Today he was just fine. Didnt mind being left at all and he was sitting outside the classroom with all the other kids when I left.
  • The big boys got to get out at the curb today.
  • I was stopped and said if you can get out in the next 2 seconds you can.
  • They were gone. Didnt even say bye or have a good day.
  • I still cant believe how big my kids are getting.
  • Why do they make us fill out all that paper work at the end of the school year if they are just going to make up fill it out again at the beginning of the school year? Isnt that a waste of time and money?
  • Thats all the school stuff for now :)

School...

  • So I have cried alot today.
  • Today was the first day of Kindergartner.
  • The first day of middle school.
  • The first day of the last year of middle school. Meaning this is the last year before high school. :(
  • I was worried about the big ones going to middle school. Finding all their classes, getting their books, and lockers, and lunch. Just plain old worried.
  • It got better. One of them needed to tell me they forgot their schedule at home. I told him to get another one from the office this morning. He didnt want me to go in :(
  • The first grader didnt even tell me good bye this morning. When we got to his classroom he just kept on walking to the end of the line. I had to call him back to get a hug.
  • The kindergartner was all excited until it was time to go to his class and then he didnt want to go to school any more.
  • As if I wasnt having a hard enough time dealing with him starting school he didnt want to go any more. He even wiped a tear away when I told him it was time for me to leave.
  • This feeling has just gotten worse all day long. I am ready for my babies to come home and tell me about their day.
  • Sigh.
  • If I find the cord for my camera I will post their pick. It was a good one. They were all smiling and actually looked like they loved (well at least liked) each other.

Stuff...

  • Going swimming with some family today :)
  • I have ever said I love my family? I do. They are the greatest :)
  • I have some school supplies but not everything. I need to get busy school starts in 2 weeks.
  • One of the boys is in trouble. Last week he twisted words around so he could have his way and got people ...for lack of a better word.....pissy.
  • My kids want braces. We are still waiting on some teeth to grown in.
  • The other one wants to whiten his teeth. I told him if he brushed for 2 weeks without me having to tell him he could. That was yesterday and we started over this morning.
  • Last week I drove half way to Houston twice to pick up kids. ( we switched the boys, she can only handle a few at a time).
  • It was a long drive and yesterday I had to change a tire :/ It wasnt flat but I ran over something (really small that he car in front of me ran over) and it took a chunk of rubber out of the tire.
  • Some ladies stopped to see if I was ok. They didnt offer to help though because they didnt know how to change a tire. Just wanted to know if I needed a ride or to use the phone. Nice ladies though :)
  • I had to change a tire by myself before my parents would let me drive by myself. Its a good thing to know how to do. I am surprised to know how many people dont know how to do it, women and men.
  • My kids are driving me nuts.
  • Why do they always have to say "what about.....?" Only one does it every single time he gets in trouble. It makes me want to scream. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Ok I feel a little better (because I actually just did that).
  • I am going to substitute this year. It will be a first for me.
  • I hope I enjoy it because its a great way that I can work but still do all the things I want to do with my kids.
  • It also allows me to go back to school when I get ready to. I have decided that I want to get my little one into second grade before I do though.
  • Its feels kinda crazy for me to have plans for 2 years in advance. I am not a planner. The only thing I plan are vacations (sometimes). Everything else just kinda get placed in the schedule where it fits.
  • We have 2 birthdays this week. I am going to have my first teenager. Ya ya just pass the box of tissues cause I have been crying all week about it.
  • Next week football starts. Practices are going to be 2 nights a week. Thank goodness thats all the league allows. I dont know how much more I could fit in. :)
  • I love football :) I find that one of the boys does better in school during football too. I dont know if its because he has a better attitude in general or if he does it so he can play either way I like it.
  • I really need to start writing all this stuff down because I forgot half the stuff I was going to say :(

life...

  • I havent posted in a while. I have been busy....or lazy. You pick.
  • We went to a birthday party on Saturday. It was at Paintball Paradise.
  • They boys always have a blast when we go there. It helps that I really like the people that own it and work there. They are always always nice and helpful.
  • The only bad part is the bruises that come with paintball.
  • My little ones have big nasty bruises. One has on right in the middle of his umm upper body (not really the stomach but not really the chest either). Its a nasty one. The boy that shot him was called out for shooting to close.
  • The hubby plays too when they play paintball. Because of him we played for an extra 2 hours. Sigh. I was ready to go home. Good times.
  • Because we played to long I missed my class reunion. :( I wasnt to bother at first but now I am. I was excited to see all the people I havent seen in years.
  • That makes both of them that I have missed now. The one I went to school my whole life (but one year) and the one I graduated from.
  • Cleaned out the little boys room today. It took a few hours with help from the big boys. I kicked the little ones out every time they came in. They want to keep everything.
  • They are not allowed to run around with paper made toys any more. I found a ton of them. Lots of clothes too. No wonder they never have pj's and shirts.
  • The kids are almost done with their summer projects now. I am making them work on them for several hours a day until they are completely done. The oldest one is not liking it at all.
  • It could be because I am picky picky about them and think they need to be neat and look good.
  • My little ones have discovered spending the night with friends and family. The older ones (11 and 13) are just now starting to ask to go places with their friends. I always said that was weird because I stayed with friends when I was the little ones ages (5 and 6).
  • I had some more but my mind is wondering soo....

Friday, July 16, 2010

Stuff...

  • I had chicken fried steak at 9 o'clock this morning.
  • It was left overs from last night and it was good :)
  • I was kid less last night. I enjoyed the quiet.
  • I will have 2 extras this weekend. I am excited about it though.
  • Taking the little one to a pool party this weekend. He is excited to see his friend. He hasnt seen any of his friends since school has been out.
  • We have been busy.
  • We went with Sprint for the boys phones. It was like $10 more but it came with more air time and we will be able to add our phones without upping the plan when the our (my hubby and mine) current plan runs out.
  • Turns out the reception for Sprint sucks. They can text but cant talk on them. I thought maybe it was just here but the boys are elsewhere and still can not talk. This is ok for them cause they just text anyway but not for me cause I am a talker.
  • The phones are going to have to go back. They are going to have to get a new number again.
  • We had Orkin come out and spray our house for bugs. We signed up for a contract with them for a year. Its what the recommend (of course). We only pay when they come out so I figure why the hell not cause if we dont need them I can just cancel the appointment. The lady never called to set up the monthly visit so i dont even have to cancel. :)
  • I am tired of laundry. I hate laundry. Well I dont mind the sorting and moving it around part just the folding and putting it up part.
  • The Skeleton Key was on this morning. I hate scary movies. I knew better than to watch it. It gives me the hebbie jebbies. Yep. I am a chicken.
  • I need a nap.

Life is hard...

  • My grandmother passed away Saturday. It was a complete shock. She was at work on Friday. She just had the gastric bypass surgery a few months ago. Just bought a new car and was working hard to improve herself.
  • I have for as long as I can remember thought of my grandmother as being in her late 50's early 60's. Over the years her age never seemed to increase in my mind. She aged well. When she passed away she was just 3 months short of 73.
  • At the funeral home the director told my mother and aunt and uncle that most people are the widest at the elbows but that wasnt the case for my grandmother. She is widest at her hips but she would still fit into a standard coffin, she would just be a little snug in the hips. My cousin told me this and she and I rolled laughing. In my family we lovingly call this the "Spiker Ass" and we all have it.
  • I already regret not spending more time with her. I have that same regret with my grandfather on the other side. I am too young to have regrets in my life. I am going to work to make sure I dont have any more.
  • A few weeks ago my step sisters husband attacked her. She tried to get away from him but when he broke through the door (the second one) and she had no where else to go she shot and killed him.
  • CPS took her children and she went to jail. Things are a bit better now. Her children are with her husbands parents and she is out of jail on bond. She is also staying with her in laws.
  • She and her children are doing ok. Evidently that was not the first time that he attacked her but the first that I had heard about it.
  • I am still not sure of all the details. At the end of the month I should know more. I am stressed, worried, frustrated, confused, and sad all at the same time.
  • My kids are bickering and fighting almost all the time (it had gotten better the past week or so).
  • My children just got new cell phones. They had the go phones, now they are on a plan. I am not happy about it but its a battle I fought and lost.
  • My littlest one starts school this year and I already started crying about it.
  • School supplies list are ridiculous. I have 5 boys and not only am I buy their supplies. I have to buy the teachers supplies too. Dry erase markers and erasers, tape for tape dispensers, full package of red, black and blue pens(my 7th grader wasnt allowed to use pens). Really? Why isnt the school supplying that stuff?
  • My hubby continues to hound me about going back to Disney for Christmas. It was next Christmas now its this one. Disney is expensive. Our family is not small and we cant stay in the smaller hotels unless we get 2 rooms and doing that cost the same as the bigger nicer hotels. I want to go back but not till the little ones are big enough to do everything and want to ride the bigger rides.
  • I think it is the stress but my back and sides are killing me.
  • On the bright side of things. I have lost 8.5 lbs in the last week.
  • Sigh.. It has to get better.

Happy Independence Day...

well its still the 4th for me cause I am still up :)

I have a drink for you to try. Its really great:)

Texas Tea/Mexican Punch (two names because my hubby and I disagree about what the name of it was)

1 can frozen Limeade mix
3/4 can Tequila
3/4 of a Mexican beer...we used the green Dos Equis
2 limes - squeeze one, add some slices of the other
ice

This stuff is super good and easy to make.

Life...

  • I am ready for the weekend!
  • Took the boys swimming today. I am pasty white so I thought I would get a little sun.
  • I am burnt. :( It hurts.
  • I dont know what the deal is with my kids but at 8:30 every night they think they need to be loud. I am not talking I have five kids loud. I mean hurt my ears loud. Its got to the point where I have to make the go to bed to keep them quiet.
  • I hat that cause its summer and the oldest one hates even more cause he is going to bed way earlier than he did during the school year.
  • This week has been a long week. A week of worry and waiting. Today I got somewhat of a relief but I would have preferred a phone call myself.
  • My step sister is doing ok and is handling things well (as well as can be expected) and she is with her kids tonight so that makes me smile inside.
  • I have made about 10 post about what is going on but non of them seem right and the one that did just felt like I was sharing more than I should.
  • On a brighter note its almost the weekend. :)
  • I am up right now because when my hubby went to bed he asked our 6 year old if he wanted to go with him. I cant sleep with both of them. We have a king size bed and I only get about a foot and half as it is with him added I dont even get that.
  • I took a picture but got yelled out when I did so I dont think I will be posting it.

Life...

  • Something extremely tragic has happened in my family. I know better but I keep reading the news about it and the comments people have.

  • The worry and waiting is killing me. I want to know what is going on and what is going to happen. I have been promised a call as soon as they figure anything out or know anything. I know the call will come but.....sigh.

  • I have thought of a few thing to add about our trip but I keep forgetting to post them and/or write them down.

  • My hubby at one point during the ride home looks in the mirror and says "Damn. I am good looking." I dont know why this cracks me or or that I am even surprised he does stuff like that. He is very full of himself.

  • My kids keep picking at each other. It is driving me crazy.

  • The oldest is well...I guess driving me crazy would work here too. Every time I even mention their summer projects its an argument. Either its not fair he has to work on it or its not fair someone else doesnt have to do what he does. It got him sent to his room today. All because I wanted his paper so I would know which book to order for him. GRRRRRRRR......

  • I think I have an ear infection. One whole side of my head is killing me and has been for a few days. I am avoiding going to the doctor. I might break down and go though.

  • Have I mentioned that I am stressed. Its summer its supposed to be all happy and swimming and hanging out.

Home again, home again gig-a-ti-gig.

  • We made it home :)
  • The trip there was better than I thought it would be. The kids were great.
  • We took two days to get there. We stopped in Destin to play at the beach. It was still clean and oil free while we were there but on the way home we heard that it was getting close.
  • We had a blast at the parks.
  • Day one was at Animal Kingdom. We walked all over that park. Back and forth. Back and forth. We were trying to make sure we got to do all the things that everyone really wanted to do.
  • We took a break everyday about 2 o'clock. We went back to the room and had a nap. Well sorta. My kids didnt really sleep so as much of a nap as I could have.
  • Day 2 was at the water park. Blizzard Beach. We split up for this one because well big kids dont really like little slides and the little kids cant ride the big ones...not that I would have let them anyway.
  • Day 3 was at Magic Kingdom. I think this was my favorite park. Most of the lines here are shaded and half maybe more of them the lines go through building with ac.
  • Kolby had a fit on one ride that wasnt really a ride. They had to let him out in the middle. The hubby wasnt happy at all.
  • The rest of the rides were uneventful.
  • All the parks had a fast pass. Everyone can use it. You slide your ticket and it gives you a time to be back and you get to go to the front of the line. You only get to use it every 2 hours or after your time has arrived for the previous one. So it works out pretty well.
  • My legs and feet hurt. Bad.
  • It was hot but too bad.
  • We took lots of pictures and video. Pictures will but up on fb soon...I hope. The hubby already put them up on his but me I am feeling kinda lazy so it may be a day or two :)
  • The fire work show at Magic Kingdom was great. I was surprised.
  • That place has changed since the last time I went, but that has been almost 20 years now soooo I guess I should have expected it. I dont know why but when I am not around things when they are changing I expect them to be the same as last time. That typically goes for children as well. I guess in my head time stands still when I am not around. Go figure.
  • The drive there and back were beautiful. Well the parts I didnt sleep though.
  • I have lots more in my head but I am going to have to write them down when they pop up cause I cant remember them right now. :)

Edit:

  • We didnt buy any food while we were there which was a big plus. We had a quick service meal plan added to our tickets. One of the best things we did. I was worried the food wasnt going to be enough or that it wasnt going to be good. I was wrong. It was plenty of food and it was all good. We even had some left on the card that we didnt use.

Busy!

  • I have been super busy lately.
  • We are headed to Disney World :) I am so excited and cant wait.
  • We are driving. We are taking 2 days to get there. I am hoping that it goes well.
  • My Uncle and his family are going as well.
  • So we are driving to his wife's house first and then starting our journey the next morning.
  • Yes they are married and are still together they just have 2 houses about 4 hours apart. Its complicated but works for them so....
  • I am still have laundry to do before I am completely ready. I hate laundry and I am out of soap so its going to be an early day tomorrow.
  • The trip is all I can think about right now even though lots of stuff has happened in the last week or so :) Oh well I guess that stuff will wait and I will forget before I get back so the next post will be all about my trip too :)

I love family time....

  • Had a great weekend :)
  • Everything seemed to work out. My scheduling conflict was resolved by doing pictures earlier in the morning (thank goodness because it was sooo hot) and then heading off to the SIL's after.
  • Family pictures were at my Mom's house. We all wore white shirts and blue jeans.
  • I am amazed at how well it went. We started at 8 am, which means we had to leave the house by 7. Yea that was fun.
  • We manage to keep the boys white shirts clean and everything :)
  • It was humid as all get out though. I dont think I have ever sweat that much before 10 am.
  • The Sil's was fun as usual. We hung out when swimming and played cards. I love her little ones they are so darn cute :)
  • We forgot the kids birthday presents that she gave them though. They werent too happy about it but we didnt have time to go back for them.
  • The kids started swim lessons this yesterday.
  • The aunt that gives them sold her house and doesnt have a pool this year so she is renting one from a friend of hers.
  • It seems like its farther out in the country because this place has lots of land surrounding it but its not really. I love the pool here. It is beautiful.
  • Did I say I won a Tom Tom last week? I did and we played with it this weekend. That thing is awesome. I have figured out if I can make it take certain roads or not yet, but it changes if I take them anyway.
  • We are making the last of the plans for our vacation. Getting the neighbors to take care of our dogs, and figuring out where we are going to stop on the way.
  • I am getting really excited about it.
  • The kids wanted to know why we were not flying. Gee it only cost an arm and a leg for 7 people to fly.
  • We mapped it out and since we are taking 2 days to get there we should only be in the car for 8-10 hours. That leaves plenty of time to stop and stretch and move around.
  • Thats all this early in the morning. I need to get back to bed :)

WTH????

  • Where did the rain come from?
  • My yard looks like it snowed.
  • My neighbor has a Cotton Wood Tree. I want to cut it down.
  • We have one but it doesnt produce.
  • I think my other neighbor is joining in on netflix. She came to talk to me about it after her daughter was here and amazed we had it on our tv.
  • The local movie store is closing.
  • I really do like Netflix.
  • My husband has been wanting a movie but I forgot to send the other one back and now I cant find it.
  • SHH...I havent told him. I reporting to Netflix when I am done. I wonder how much they are going to charge me for it?
  • Today was the last day of School!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • The kids are already driving me nuts.
  • They keep bickering and one keeps whining. I sent him to bed for a nap. That didnt go over so well.
  • We are having diner way early tonight. Well for us anyway. Its a quick one...fish sticks and french fries. Good diner, huh?
  • Sometimes easy just has to do.
  • The boys have a soccer game tonight.
  • They told me last night.
  • I dont expect to be home before 9.
  • The rain came quickly and left just the same.
  • Damn. My yard needed some rain.
  • I love the rain. The sound(even better with a little thunder) the smell and the green that follows.
  • 2 weeks until we are headed off to Disney World :)
  • We are having family pictures taken at my Mom's house on Saturday morning before we head off to Houston.
  • That was the solution to me over booking my weekend. I am ok with it. My hubby not so much. It took some talking him into it before he would agree to leaving on Saturday.
  • You wouldnt believe the Transportation Parade. There were all kinds of stuff. It was beautiful.
  • Kolby's truck didnt quite make it though. They were in and out and the trip to the school didnt help it I am sure.
  • It worked great at home but not so much there.
  • The back end was carried by a friends son. He is a good kid and always helpful.
  • Did I say my kids were driving me nuts already? They keep picking and picking and picking.
  • If I freak out and yell my head off they might straighten up. I am hoping its just excitement that school is over. Well see soon.
  • I have a lot to do tomorrow. Including get my tire fixed, well really buy a new one since they told me it cant be fixed. I keep putting it off though. Sigh.
  • That is all for now. I have a soccer game to get ready for :)

Finally.....

Its done! It took longer that I expected and I am sure will only last a day or two but it was fun and Kolby and I had a good time :)

Crap. Crap. Crap....

  • I over booked this weekend.
  • We are supposed to have family pictures on Saturday afternoon.
  • We are also supposed to go to Houston this weekend.
  • Cant do both. My hubby is not going to be happy with me.
  • I order some contacts for my son but they still havent arrived. It is getting annoying.
  • Tomorrow is the last day of school.
  • The awards over lap. I cant go to everything and they boys are not happy about it.
  • I finally finished the 18 wheeler box. Well all except the decorating it. It is painted we just have to draw on it.
  • I am excited about this summer and all the things we are doing.
  • I am also frustrated with some people who dont know how to mind their own business.
  • I have company now so I will have to do this later.

Weekend...

  • Sometimes people I love really piss me off. Sometimes people that piss me off are only tolerated.
  • I had a pretty good weekend.
  • I didnt get the kids 18 wheeler finish like I had wanted but it will be done before tomorrow night.
  • Everyone keeps telling me there is no way it is going to making through the Parade.
  • Its going to have a test run just to make sure.
  • I went to the OHV park this weekend. I had never been there before. We were in jeeps. It was a good time but man it scared the crap out of me sometimes. I had to close my eyes.
  • If you dont know what an OHV park is, it the Off Highway Vehicle park.
  • It was time spent with family so of course it was a good time :)
  • Then the kids went to the MIL's house. They had asked to stay the night on Friday she said they could on Saturday instead.
  • The hubby told me he wanted to go out. I was excited at date with the hubby :)
  • Not so much :( We did go have dinner and then went bowling with friends. I really really wanted a date.
  • It wasnt bad though because I ended up having a really great time. I got to meet the hubby's cousin's new girl friend. I like her but worry that he will be attached to a relationship that isnt going anywhere, and doesnt have the potential to go anywhere. She is planning to move out of state when she sells her house.
  • There are other things about her that cause me worry for him to get attached but hey she is making him happy so that is what counts. Right?
  • I have been doing laundry for what seems like weeks now. I am almost done but I know as soon as the boys clean their rooms it will be like I never even started it. Sigh. I hate laundry.
  • My oldest son is giving me dirty looks because I am making him work on his school project. Its due Tuesday and its only about half done...if that. He has had it for several weeks.

Nap?

I so did not get a nap.....

Its been a while...

  • My baby is 5 today. I am happy and sad about this.I have cried alot about him getting so big.

  • This week was rough with his birthday and registering him for Kindergarten.

  • Field/Play day was today. The note said they may get a little wet. They were sliding down a slide into a pool of water. A little ? Really? Come on. I felt bad for all the kids that had to stay at school the rest of the day.

  • My little man said he wanted to stay so he could eat lunch and watch the movie with his class, half way through he changed his mind :)

  • I have been making an 18 wheeler for the Transportation Parade. Well sorta. I have come up with the idea of how to make it and we have the boxes and all the stuff I need (well except the paint).

  • A little girl is going to be riding with my son. Her mom said she wasnt making one. I am taking the box 18 wheeler up on Monday so she can help decorate one side of it.

  • I still cant believe someone would tell their child they are not going to do a school project. She told her she would have a headache. Sigh. We have known about it 3 weeks before it needed to be complete. It just makes me mad every time I think about it.

  • Some Friends asked if I would be going to my High School Reunion. I am not. We will be coming home from Disney. I cant say that I am too upset about it either. :)

  • We have made arrangements for us all to get together. That I am super excited about.

  • I cant believe I have been out of school for 10 year already. It seems like it was just yesterday and yet so long ago.

  • I have a hang over. I never get hang overs. Mostly because I dont usually drink enough to get one but even when I do drink to much I dont get hang overs. Grr.

  • Yes I know it was the middle of the week and I should have had so much but damn it I was having a hard week and decided to have a beer after diner and chill out a bit and well it tasted sooooo good, so I had one or two more :)

  • Ok its nap time for me. I hope anyway.

Rain, Rain, and more Rain!

  • I love the rain!
  • Practice and Games have been canceled. I am not sure how I really feel about it. I have been feeling lazy so didnt really want to get up and get moving but I really like watching them play.
  • Got the boxes to make the 18 wheeler. Going to get started this weekend. I have to figure out how to make it where it can come apart and be put back together easily.
  • I have to help my oldest put together his classes for next year.
  • Most of the electives for 8th graders are FHA related. I dont really like that.
  • I had to call the school to figure out what some of the classes were. Pre Ag (which is wood shop), Ag Communications, Personal Skills, Wildlife Management, Livestock Production. There is also Band, Spanish, Video Tech, Yearbook, and Office Aide. Those last 3 the kids had to turn in an application for.
  • I think that he will end up starting high school with 3 or 4 credits.
  • That being said I am worried about how much homework the Pre Ap classes along with those going to give him credits will be. He hasnt been one for doing homework this year.
  • I have to get my youngest one registered for Kindergarten. :( I have been shedding tears just at the thought.
  • Instead of a birthday party for my little ones they have decided they want to go see Iron Man 2.
  • My MIL is not happy about it. I told her to talk to the hubby about it but on her own time and not when he is home because I dont want to hear them argue about it.
  • We are having family pictures taken at my Mom's house soon.
  • I really like netflix.
  • I keep forgetting to return the movies though. I watch alot of them on the computer.
  • My hubby keeps watching scary movies. I hate scary movies. I had to put my foot down about a few of them because he watches them with the kids. They dont seem to bother them but it does me.
  • Thats all for now because I forgot everything else :)

Thursday, May 13, 2010

Hmmmm...

  • I absolutely hate it hate it hate it when my children tell me things last minute that they have know about for days sometimes even weeks.
  • This is happening alot lately. I dont know if it because they are getting lazy and not remembering or if its the end of the year and more stuff is going on.
  • I made a rule about that kind of stuff at the beginning of the year that I have now brought back full force. If I dont know about it the night before its not going to happen. It will have to wait till the next day. This includes lunch money, meetings, and extra things for school (like chips and dip and drinks for parties).
  • My son had a math problem that I wasnt sure about last night. That has never happen before.
  • I noticed how dark it is outside. I hope we get some of the rain to go with it this time. It has split and just missed us for the past two days.
  • Allergies have been recking havoc around here.
  • We have a new post master that keeps sending all of mine and my sons mail back. It really pisses me off because we have been getting mail at the same po box for 7 years up until about 2 months ago. I am still getting all the stuff that has to be paid for but not the bills and birthday cards.
  • My Grandma mail birthday cards on April 15th and we just got it yesterday. Almost a whole month later.
  • My hubby was off early yesterday. He cut tree limbs for me until he broke the chain on the saw.It looks better sorta. He is not so graceful in doing stuff so some of the limbs he cut are really ugly.
  • I will be fixing them of the next few days.
  • Our neighbors were looking over the fence to see what we were doing as the trees that have grown along the fence line disappeared. A year ago there werent any trees there and now there are a bunch. They are all going. I kinda feel bad because they shade part of their year but I cant stand them (the trees not the neighbors).
  • I have an acquaintance is that I have discovered is extremely racist. I have know her for a few years and it is only very recently I have heard any kind of racist remarks. I am not sure what to do. It disturbs me to no end because our children are good friends and play sports together. Her kids are very well behaved and nice kids. :-/
  • On that note...I feel that people in general are good. I trust almost everyone until they give me reason not to. I feel very naive.
  • We have to make a form of transportation for the Kindergarten Transportation Parade. This is what we do instead of graduation. Basically you start with a box (or something light weight) and make some form of transportation and paint and decorate it. This is supposed to be done as a project with(not for) your child. On the last day of school each child with walk with their transportation in a parade.
  • It is very cute and has become very creative. There are army tanks, planes, jeeps, boats, motorcycles, and all kinds of things. My son wants to make a 18 wheeler. I am thinking that he can carry the front and we will put moving wheels on the trailer part so he can just drag it.
  • On child has already come to school and said her mom said she wasnt making one because "She is going to have a head ache and her Grandmother wont help." This ercks me. She still has 2 1/2 weeks to do it and she is going to have a head ache the whole time? Sigh. She can ride (walk) with my kiddo. We might just make an extra one for her. :)
  • My sons teacher has been really great this year. I would like to get her something to show our appreciation. Anyone have any ideas for a good gift for a great teacher?

Happy Mothers Day!

  • Happy Mothers Day to all!
  • This weekend has been great.
  • I went to a birthday party for a cousin. It was fun.
  • Everyone stayed around and had a big people party after.
  • I love being with my family.
  • They make me happy and I always feel at peace around them :)
  • They are good for my heart and soul.
  • My Mom and Will sent me some flowers for Mothers Day.
  • They are beautiful and smell wonderful. The whole house smells of fresh flowers :)
  • My mouse is messed up so I stole the one on the boys computer. I have had it about a week but they really really really want it back :( No more computer for me until I get to the store for another one.
  • Happy Mothers Day. I hope you all have a wonder day!

Life....(cant belive I didnt have a title up here)

  • We have ordered some ear plugs for my son. (the one that got tubes put in his ears) With baths and swimming over the summer and vacation coming soon I think they will be worth the money. He isnt old enough to do the disposable ones on his own and I am not sure he would notice if they came out anyway.
  • One of my 5th graders got Taks results back (for the ones they took in March) but the other one didnt. I wonder if he did and just didnt bring them home.
  • How does the school not see a problem with a kid missing one period in the middle of the day? I mean they know if they are signed out and have left. So the attendance has to be wrong, right? I mean my kids are too young to be skipping school.
  • I am so glad they didnt have the grades and attendance on the computer when I was in school. I love it as a parent but as a student I am sure I would have hated it.
  • The hubby wants to start looking for cars for the oldest one. He will be 13 this year. Option is get one they can work on together or get one that we would drive for a few years first.
  • I dont really like either option.
  • My hubby never finish any projects around here. Either I have to finish them or they will sit undone.
  • Something that I would want my son to drive wouldnt have enough room for the family. I mean the hubby could drive it but I cant see him going from his (big ol') truck during the week to a small car on the weekends.
  • I have been up way to long this morning. My little one woke me up just before 3 and with the snoring bear in the bed next to me I couldnt get back to sleep.
  • Its Cinco de Mayo! My son said they are learning about Mexico today.
  • I went to a band concert last night. The sixth grade band was good. Better than the second band, which made me want some ear plugs of my own...no it wasnt that bad. They did still need a little work on it though. The last band was good. They played a superhero song and had people dress up as the super heroes. It was cute.
  • I have been doing laundry like a mad woman. I hate laundry. I think the kids are going to start doing their own. They already know how....
  • I wrote this at six in the morning but forgot to post it...silly me. I guess thats what lack of sleep does to you :)

Stuff...

  • This weekend was good.
  • We had a great day at the zoo on Friday. It was my sons birthday. My mom met us at the zoo so my littlest one could go with us.
  • We also met my cousin and her daughter on their field trip. I was nice that they were both the same day.
  • We had cupcakes and all the kids , well most of them, scraped the icing off them. Whats wrong with those kids. The adults didnt get one cause there were more than expected with us.
  • I never thought keeping up with kids at the zoo would be so much work. I think if it were just ours it wouldnt have been a problem because we could have just threatened to beat them if they didnt mind.
  • I had one of the sweetest boys go with me and took lots of pictures of all of them together.
  • No soccer this weekend :) I dont know why but it seems like a beating this year.
  • I am stressed is an understatement. I am always sleepy, no mater how much sleep I get.
  • We kinda just hung out all weekend. Watched the kids ride their bikes in the road. One of them is almost ready for training wheels to come off. :) He is getting so big.
  • The grass in the front is looking good. I just hope I continue to remember to water it. I have also been picking stickers out of the yard. I am hoping to get them all before they get a good start. I hate stickers. I like to walk around with out shoes on and I cant even do that in the house cause the kids track so many in.
  • Kids say the funniest stuff. Its so random.
  • The older ones are picking some stuff up at school that I dont like at all.
  • I know its because they are getting older but I still dont like it....Speaking of getting older. Our neighbor has a crush on one of the boys. She was talking about it but not saying who and he was naming the characters in Twilight and she asked him for a last name cause his name is the same. He said "Not me. Ewe gross!" Poor girl. As she rode off she said "I dont like you anyway."
  • Every time I see a Police Officer with someone pulled over I think to myself what an ass, but in all the times I have been pulled over not once have any of them been an ass or even just the slightest bit rude.
  • I need to get invites out for the boys bday party. We always do it in between the two birthdays. Its just easier to do them together.
  • The post office is starting to piss me off. They keep sending some of our mail back. My son and I dont not share the name as the rest of the house. I get half of my mail and they sent all his birthday cards and presents back. It hasnt always been like that. It just started in the past 2 months or so. I am making a special trip to see the post master in the morning. I am not looking forward to it.
  • I guess thats it for now....

Blah...

  • My friend put this on my face book. Isnt it the sweetest thing? Its Jacob when he was a little over one and that is her daughter.
  • We play a computer game called WoW. My husbands account was stolen. He has gotten it back but it will be another week before it is back to the way it was before.
  • He blamed the kids for down loading all the stupid little game and going to all the websites they do. Turns out that he is the one with the key logger on his computer.
  • The kids won their soccer game this weekend. They havent played the really good teams yet. The games at this age are good. I get excited when they play well.
  • I also have some new grass in the front yard! :) The hubby not only brought it home but also laid it out.
  • I didnt get to do what I wanted to do this weekend so I didnt do what was wanted of me.
  • I also have gotten to speak with some of my old friends. I am surprised at how just speaking with people that I know and love have changed my attitude.
  • A friend of ours is having a baby with a girl he has had an on again off again relationship. Most of his friends dont like her. Me I think she is a money grubbin' bleep adee bleep bleep. But really I am happy for them...
  • You believe me dont you?

Stuff....

  • I caved in and got a facebook.
  • They should ban those little games on there. I am already addicted to one. :(
  • I am not sure I like it. I cant figure out how to stop getting an update every time someone adds a new friend or comments on a picture of someone I dont know. It drives me crazy.
  • Other than that I like it. I have gotten to talk to alot of people that I havent in a really long time.
  • Soccer got rained out! I was excited. So excited I think it was wrong.
  • My kiddo (the first one I had, you know since we have the his, mine, and ours thing going on) turned 11 yesterday. I cried about it on Saturday.
  • I made it worse by thinking the oldest one would be 13 this year and the baby would be going to school in August.
  • Man I was a mess.
  • The kids were really loud and crazy being stuck inside this weekend. I sent them out to play for 30 minutes on Sunday.
  • Yes it was still raining. They weren't out there that long.
  • Ok long enough that their little hands were cold. And they jumped on the trampoline and there must have been a ton of water on it cause they were soaked. Nothing that a warm bath couldnt take care of :)
  • We didnt have birthday cake yesterday :( We had Root beer Floats.
  • Its the hubby's birthday today. I always make a dinner on everyone birthday but he doesnt want me to cook for his he wants to eat out. :(
  • Dont they know that my fun on their birthday and its the one time I will make whatever they happen to want. Even if its something I hate to make.
  • The kids were late to school this morning because I over slept. I dreamt that I had already taken them to school so it was a complete surprise when they came in and asked when we were going. Poor kids.
  • Ok off to do some paper work so i can take one to the orothodontist. Anyone know a good cheep one. I think braces on one kid is going to kill me and I know that at least 1 or 2 more are going to need them.

Ok..

  • So I cant be as big of a bitch as I think I can.
  • I was friendly to someone who I swore to myself I wasnt going to be. All damn weekend. Things arent the same but I was still nicer than I thought I would be.
  • I also didnt go get in the car 2 hours after we got to the late family Easter.
  • My SIL's kids are soooooo damn cute. I just want to squeeze them:) but one is too little to be squeezed and the other wont let me :(
  • The kids came home with too much damn candy.
  • We had extras. Cousins kids. They are so sweet...well one of them. The boy can eat. He is 8 I think. Ate half of a large pizza for dinner and then ate 6 donuts for breakfast.
  • I would love to have a little girl but I dont want any more kids so I will stick with borrowing them and giving them back.
  • The hubby did something I would have never thought of for him. He brushed and fixed hair this morning.
  • I finally told my Mom about things that have been going on in my house and why I have been pissed and stressed and well when it comes down to it I guess unhappy. When I started she was ahh my poor baby. But before I finished she was pissed too.
  • My Mom is over 50. She is one of the sweetest people I know and loves to help others. She is always busy. And I do mean always. She is getting her teaching license this summer. She will start teaching in the fall.
  • Her friends say they need to give her some mean lessons. I agree..sorta. I know my Mom and she can get what she wants :) You know when someone isnt really wrong and you end up doing what they want you to do even though is not what you wanted. She is good at it and does it in the nicest, sweetest way possible.
  • Man I love her :)

WOW

Did you see the 18 wheeler on fire? Crazy stuff. Looking for a pic. It was a 18 wheeler, dump truck and a pick up. They were all on fire and the 18 wheeler was hanging off a bridge. Not sure about injuries yet....

Enjoyment...

  • I have enjoyed the past day or two. Nothing much special going on just life.
  • We have been going to the park everyday while we wait for the bigger kids to get out of school.
  • They seem to love it and as long as they leave when its time I think it will be a daily thing for the rest of the school year.
  • I had my first snow cone of the year today!
  • The oldest is getting braces. Well maybe if we can afford them.
  • I really like the orthodontist that we saw today but we are going to try a few others before we pick one.
  • Only because I was told the price I was quoted was really high and well with 5 kids we need to save all we can.
  • My SIL might be going to Disney with us :) I am excited about it. I really do enjoy myself when I am around them.
  • I really need to talk to my uncle about this since he is going too! :)
  • I still havent had to speak to that person I was talking about before. I think that may be why the past few days have been good.
  • The hubby asked it I was mad at her. I am not. I am over it, its just not going to be the same anymore. I am surprised he even noticed.
  • My yard really needs to be mowed. I think that will be tomorrows goal.
  • My neighbors dog/cats keep getting in our trash.
  • The city tagged all their cars to tow next month if they are still there. He is always working on them and they are never there long so I dont know why they did that.
  • I think I am pissed about what they are doing to the street downtown. I dont think it looks very good. I also dont thing the street was bad. I dont recall pot holes in it(maybe a few but not many). I dont know that the streets on the side of town I live on are really really bad and I do mean really bad.
  • After the last rain I thought I went around a new pot hole in the road but didnt quit make it around it. It was so bad that I bottomed out on the damn thing and it was a new one. The city's way of fixing the streets over here is to put gravel in them. They put asphalt in the holes sometimes but as soon as it rains it washes right out. They need to be redone completely.
  • TAKS test were this week . I hate those damn thing and cant stand that for the last six weeks(at least) that is all that my children have done in math class.
  • Ok I have to figure out what I am doing with the pork chops I thawed for dinner. Have a good night!

Its been a while...

  • Things at home have been...rough to say the least.
  • I am not 100% sure that life I as I know it will survive. I am certain that life will not be the same.
  • Easter was ok. We do a family Easter on Saturday. That way everyone can come.
  • We didnt stay long. My husband decided he was tired and went to sit in the car.
  • Well that was my family Easter. We will have one with his family this coming weekend. I plan on returning the favor.
  • All hell broke loose this weekend.
  • It really annoys me when I take the time to tell my kids to do something and even go to all the trouble to ask them several times if they did it and they tell me yes, yes I did it but then it turns out they have really done it.
  • It happened this weekend with shin guards of all things. They needed to be taken to practice. It didnt happen and then late that night I got a call they would be coming to get them in the morning. (Thats when things got really bad) The kids ended up coming home. When they were getting ready for the game he couldnt find the damn shin guards. The whole reason I asked about them the day before (not to mention practice)
  • One of the boys got detention last week. Well then he called yesterday and had 2 more days of detention this week for something else. He got it on Friday.
  • As part of all hell breaking loose this weekend the hubby is going to deal with it. His way of dealing with it.....telling him it better not happen again.
  • I am not happy about it.
  • More talking about this weekend needs to happen. I have been half ass avoiding it because I am not sure what the results will be.
  • That being said, I am looking for job and a sitter for my young one.
  • I also think that damage to certain relationship is beyond repair. Not that I really care much right now but it could cause major problems later down the road since its within the family. Being civil will only get you so far.

Stuff...

  • There is some animal making a really weird noise outside right now. Its driving me nuts.
  • Soccer is in full swing now. I really do enjoy watching my kids play (when I actually get to watch them and not constantly look for and keep up with the others and their many little fights).
  • One of the boys keeps asking if they can walk to the skate park. They (2 of them anyway) have before but the last time they got in a fight (you know the actual push and hitting kind). The answer is no. no. no.
  • I know people think I am harsh with my boys but I cant stand to see kids running around misbehaving. I dont want my boys to be one of them.
  • I am having a hard time getting my little one to eat anything but junk food. I dont mean just cookie and cokes and candy. I mean he wants hot dogs and chicken nuggets and fish sticks. He wont eat veggies hardly at all and most meat we have to make him eat. He tells me it disgusting. Thank you Honey. Once he starts eating though he likes it. Grrr...
  • I am not ready for Easter this year. It seems weird that its already here.
  • I havent talked to my Dad in a while. I have tried to call him the past few days but no answer. I wonder if he went out of town.
  • My middle schooler had detention for not bringing his book to class. He says this is only the second time and it doesnt happen often but his idea of often and mine are not the same.
  • I started walking this week. The little ones love it because they get to play at the park while I walk. The older ones not so much because I picked them up late yesterday. Opps.
  • My hubby wants me to order him some boots "like the ones he had last year or was it the year before?" He has no clue where I ordered them from. Me either hun, me either.
  • My mom got me a new camera for my Birthday. The boys said it was like theirs. Kinda but mine is a different brand and alot nicer, so really nothing like theirs. Hehe.
  • That damn thing is still making noise.

ITS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

  • I just received some really beautiful flowers :)
  • I have had all kinds of phone calls today.
  • I love that.
  • I get to talk to some family that I dont talk to one a daily (or weekly for that mater) basis.
  • I told my littlest one today is my Birthday and he said no he wanted it to be his birthday.
  • The hubby told me happy birthday yesterday. I told him it wasnt my birthday and he said "Today is the 23rd right?" Yes honey it was but thats still not my birthday.
  • His response was well he told me then so if he forgets today it will be ok.
  • Not so much.
  • I am going to make my own cake. He is sweet enough that he would go buy me one but I like home made better unless its pie. I cant make pies. I suck at it. Either they burn or the filling gets under the crust.
  • My older kids the ones that should remember my birthday since I have been saying for 2 weeks my birthday is this Wednesday, didnt remember this morning :( But thats ok I will remind them again when they get home :)
  • I never know what I want for my birthday (or Christmas). It drives people crazy.
  • Thats all...today is beautiful!

Its Over....sigh....

  • Spring Break was fun. Busy but fun.
  • Surprisingly everyone was in bed on time and got up easily this morning.
  • We started Spring Break with a trip to see my SIL.
  • Then the kids swear they had soccer practice on Monday.
  • We rushed around Monday after noon trying to get new soccer cleats and get everything done before practice. There was no practice and I was pissed.
  • Tuesday the kids got new shoes. All of them. It was stressful.
  • Just taking all the kids into a store all at once by myself is a beating but then trying to find them each something they like that fits is almost impossible.
  • Kolby was easy. He found a pair of shoes that came with a comic book. They had his size and he was done. I dont know if he even knew what the shoes looked like before we left the store.
  • That caused all kinds of problems with the littlest one because he wanted ones with a comic book too.
  • I tried a pair of shoes on him and he hated them and they hurt his feet until he saw the comic book in the box. I tried every other pair of shoes I could find that he might like and he wouldnt have any of it. We ended up getting the pair with the comic book that hurt his feet but they cant hurt to bad cause he wears them all the time (as in never takes the damn things off) and doesnt complain about them hurting.
  • You would think the other would be easier because they are older and can pick them out and try them on with out my help. I just needed to check them once they were done, right? HUH. They were the worst ones.
  • They couldnt find any they liked and when they did they couldnt find it in their size. The deal was I would pay $50 for them shoes, if they cost more than that they had to pay for the rest. They managed to find shoes for less. I knew they could do it :)
  • I hunted shoes and hunted shoes only to find them and they not fit. He was looking for 2 sizes to big.
  • The other one kept getting shoes that were to small. He stated with a 5 1/2 and ended up getting a 7. In his defense there wasnt much of a difference in the shoes.
  • The other one did ok. He just picked the ugliest shoes in the store. But hey thats my kid for ya.
  • The older kids went to spend Wednesday with their other parents.
  • Thursday they came back or I picked them up on the way to Chuck E Cheese.
  • I ended up trading kids around before I came home. I got one that was scared of the dark. I mean really really scared of the dark. It wasnt as bad as I thought it would be.
  • Friday we spent the day at the park with my family. It was fun. When we got home the youngest ones wanted to know why the big kids got to go to the park down the road from us but I wouldnt take them.
  • I wanted to yell "because I am worn the fuck out" I didnt I used the because I said so thing.
  • I always hated that when I was a kid.
  • Damn it I got up to pick up the kids and I forgot what I was rambling about.

Things I noticed on our road trip...

  • My kids are pretty good.
  • They can even be nice a sweet to each other when they want to.
  • There is not much to see between here and Houston. :/ blah.
  • The rest stop in Huntsville is one of the nicest I have seen and is always clean.
  • It still creeps me out at night.
  • No how clean the car is before we start its always a mess before we make it back home.
  • Even with a trash bag the kids leave trash all over the car. We went the last half of the trip with no snacks or drinks because of it.
  • The kids and hubby can read in the car. I cant. I get car sick.
  • The little ones can entertain themselves every easily.
  • Driving while watching one dance in the back seat and not get caught doing it is hard.
  • I wonder where he got his moves? I hope not from me cause it took everything I had not to laugh. It was a mix of the 70's and 80's.
  • When the hubby says he needs to use the bathroom we stop within 5 mins. When the kids tell us we ask them if they can wait. That doesnt sound so fair to me.
  • Once we stop once for a bathroom break it seems we have to stop at least every hour for one. Drives me nuts.
  • My hubby's idea of half and my idea of half are not the same.
  • My car does not handle at 90 as well as 80.
  • I need new brakes.
  • When you get off 45 on a service road that you would think put you right back on, it doesnt.
  • Some people are real asses when driving. I think my hubby is one of them. He also wants me to be when he is in the passenger seat.
  • I was almost rear ended by the same guy more than once. One time I am almost certain he was less than 6 inches from me.
  • I never knew there was so much traffic on 45. At all hours.

Some things drive me crazy....

  • My son hurt his arm last weekend while he was with his mother.
  • I wanted to take the insurance card up to the hospital but they were done before I got there and said oh no it will be ok. She will fax it from work on Monday.
  • HUH. Yeah right. I knew that wasnt going to happen. I took the card up there today after I called to make sure it was there. I dont want a bunch of unpaid hospital bills.
  • It looks bad on credit. Then again it would have been her credit. Still, I would much rather it show up a good credit on ours though.
  • All the info on file was hers. Yes she is his mother and yes she has a right to be on it but all his primary info should be our home, our number, the hubbys name and info. That kinda stuff because if they need something they are going to have to call us. Or well they can call her and she call us and then call them back or have us do it.
  • I am not saying she shouldnt be on there at all, just that she should have put his dad on there first. He lives with us and we are the ones that deal with all that stuff and we are the ones are going to be paying for it so we are the ones who need the bill.

Oh the joys of being a step parent.

Socks, Socks, and more Socks!

  • They are every where and I cant seem to find one damned pair.
  • The sock thing was just out of control in my house. I couldnt take it any more.
  • I bought new socks for everyone in my house yesterday. OMG who knew that would be so expensive.
  • We washed and folded all the socks. Anything that didnt have a match or had a hole went in the trash.
  • We threw out about a half a bag of socks.
  • After all that we still only matched about 10 pair of socks. 10! thats it. 10! (that doesnt include the ones everyone is already wearing.)
  • 10 pair for 7 people, most of which are the hubbys. Well that means either my kids are not wearing matching socks most of the time or I am washing the same 2 pair of socks over and over all week.
  • I am going with the second (but we all know it probably the first).
  • I have no clue what to do with all the soccer, baseball, and football socks. I dont want to throw them out because we still use them all the time and I never know what color the boys will need the next year.
  • I do however think that 12 pair of Texas Ranger blue socks are too damn many.
  • All that being said. My sock problem no longer exist. Everyone has new socks. Most importantly though we dont have any extras :)

Tuesday, March 9, 2010

  • I washed my sons phone last night :( It comes on with another ones battery but not with his.
  • If its messed up he has to replace it cause I wont.
  • My other son lost the camera he got for Christmas. It was a nice one. I am not happy.
  • These are just 2 examples of why I dont like my kids to have expensive toys (electronics).
  • My kid with the hurt arm really doesnt like me this week. I wont let him run and play and he cant play on the computer or video games. He is bored out of his mind.
  • My opinion on this is if his arm is so hurt and sore that he cant participate in school and can practice his horn then its too hurt to do those things too.
  • Man I am a mean momma. :( Poor kids.
  • I have been avoiding something that I can no longer put off.
  • Once it is over with I wont have near as much stress. Stress make me super crazy. By crazy I mean a total Bitch.
  • And being a bitch all the time makes me tired.
  • I loved diner tonight. It was kinda like a breakfast pie. It was croissant roll with eggs, sausage, and cheese. Yummy. Yummy. Yummy!
  • I was playing a game online today and someone tried to have cybersex. This wouldnt have bothered me near as much but it was on Yahoo and my kids play games there sometimes.
  • I always want to go through all their crap and then tell them I am some fat hairy guy but I blush just at the thought of describing some sexual act to a stranger much less actually type it out. I think it might kill me.

Monday, March 8, 2010

  • This weekend was interesting.....I guess.
  • Didnt do too much.
  • We were supposed to eat brunch with my parents on Sunday.
  • We didnt get to :(
  • We got all the way there and got a call about our oldest child being hurt.
  • He hurt his arm again. It ended up not being broke but he is in a brace for a week or two.
  • Soccer starts today. I am excited and dreadful.
  • Its raining again.........
  • I am really upset about not getting to eat with my parents. :/
  • I think I resent my husband. More so than I realize.
  • I gave up alot to be with him and it seems like I keep giving up bits and pieces of myself.
  • When I moved I gave up seeing my friends and family everyday. Then it became more and more. Now I dont even talk to my friends from before my husband. My hardly ever see my family now and most of them only live a hour away.
  • I no longer work because I take care of our children. It would cost more for child care than I would make a week. He has been saying he doesnt want me to go back to work even when the youngest goes to school.
  • My father now lives just a few hours away and we still dont see him but on holidays.
  • My sister in law lives about 5-6 hours from us and we have seen her more in the past 4 months (when she moved there) than we have seen my dad in the past 2 years.
  • Its not that I dont enjoy it I just think my life needs to be about me and what I want sometimes.
  • All this added together makes me a very pissed off unhappy person.
  • I love my husband and I dont want a divorce but I want myself back. All of those things were a part of what made me who I am.
  • I also think this all distributes to my depression.
  • Wow that was more than I intended to let out....

These things are going to be the death of me....

I LOVE them but damn they have soooo much fat.
