- I am still working on getting rid of this nasty cough. Ugh.
- Otherwise I feel great.
- Valentine's Day was great. My hubby bought me 2 pair of pj's. One of them are footed!
- They are not exactly my style but he he gave it some thought and a try. Love him :)
- I also got flowers from my parents :) Love them too.
- The hubby got at card for golf. Blue Sky Golf Pass. If you enjoy golf this is a great thing and you can get them for discounts if you look or in my case hunt the guy down and ask really really nice :)
- I called the guy so I could pick them up that day. Them because I also got my friends bf one for her too.
- This is the same thing they got last year and they love them. This year I threw in one of the weekend trips on the pass. To be booked in the future. His choice. All that I ask is that it not fall on a special day...birthdays, anniversary, or family holiday. He was happy.
- I am addicted to a game on face book....geez.
- My kids have found me to be impossible lately. For a week and a half I told them about their grades and that progress reports were coming.
- Now they are grounded until they bring me a note that they have no zeros in any class or that all grades online are posted. They also have a few test to go in and retake. They are non to pleased with me.
- 2 have been grounded from everything but one hour of tv a night. The same 2 that kept giving excuses about their work and why they couldn't get it turned in or didn't know about it.
- IF they fail to go by my grounding and I have to remind them they can explain to their father why they are grounded.
- Needless to say I have not had to remind them.
- One keeps asking if grades have been updated. He insist that he has turned in his work now. Sorry he should have brought a note home like I asked him too.
- The other big boy isn't grounded yet. He has until Monday to bring a note home. His excuses were real and I had to call the school to figure out what to do. The teacher was in a wreck. A bad one and is still out . They have brought in a permanent sub but it took some time to get grades up for him and for him to figure out what she was doing. I spoke with him on Friday and he has until Monday to fix it.
- The break from sports this weekend was a much needed one. Baseball sign ups are next weekend. I am not sure what the 14u group is going to do. It doesn't seem like there are as many this year and everyone that has signed up wants to play for the same team. We will see.
- That's it for now because I am sleepy!

Life and stuff...
- I guess I am only allowed one day to be sick. Then I better be over it enough to function because apparently no one else can function with out. The other option is plan ahead for being sick...sigh.
- My son had his last basketball game today. They lost. The only time this year. Poor little guys, some of them were really upset.
- Not my little one though because they are still the best. "First is the worst. Second is the best. Third is the one with the hairy chest!"
- Got to love that kid!
- After the game the hubby took the big boys to spend some money. New batting helmets, bags, gloves, shorts, golf clubs.. You know all that stuff they have to have. The good news is they bought most of it themselves.
- I still have this hacking cough. It is killing me. My chest, sides, and back hurt from it. Not to mention my throat. If its not better soon I am going to have to go to the doctor. Yuck, I hate going to the doctor.
- I have some advice for someone but have been told its non of my damn business and need to stay out of it. So I will leave it here for everyone else.
Your actions today may leave lasting marks on your life as well as others. Do not do something today that you cant take back tomorrow unless you are sure you are ready for the consequences.

Blessed...
I am blessed with 5 boys. I am their taxi, maid, cook, and their tutor. I am the mean one. I had out and enforce most discipline in the house. (even though mine is never as harsh at their fathers) I do everything for everyone. I hate telling my kids they cant go somewhere or do something (within reason). Well today I am just not up to par. So today I saw disappointed faces when I said no you cant go to the dance because I wont be up to get you. I saw sad pouty lips when the answer was no I am not going to the park. Its cold and I don't feel good :( Even though you can see the disappointment in their face, not once did any of the complain about the answer.
After diner I said good night and went to hide away in my room to have a shower and get some rest. That's when I heard my hubby, the sweet man that he is, ask one of the boys what he is doing. I can hear him right outside the door. The answer: "I just want to ask momma for something." Nope. No one is to knock on the door all night. If they need something they can ask him. :) This is the same man who dug the heated blanket back out of the closet because I couldn't stop shivering last night and sent text though out the day to check on me because he couldn't talk. Oh and he is the one that suggested the shower too, because I look like hell and it would probably make me feel better too. Got to love him!
Sometimes what I need has to come before what they all want. I am glad I have a husband and sons that understand this so well.

Life and stuff...
- Its tax time. I love this time of year. We get a refund. Which is nice.
- I find it odd how most families that live paycheck to paycheck like paying more in and getting some back rather than the wealthy keeping every dime they can and then paying in.
- I guess that is because paycheck to paycheck you really cant afford to have a large expense at one time.
- I love my magic tax lady! She also happens to be my best friend and cousin :) Just makes me more so blessed.
- I have been subbing like crazy lately. Teachers are out sick because the kids are passing around the flu. They also are doing workshops and helping with Starr practice testing. Its crazy though because there are not enough subs for them all and other employees are having to take the classes.
- Oh well. I am looking forward for the next 2 paychecks. Combined they will be almost more than I made all year last year...I know that's not much but hey it might give me a girls day or two. :)
- I am getting sick. I don't know if it is the flu or not yet. Just alot of chest congestion and coughing. Along with hot and cold flashes. Its driving me nuts.
- Basketball is almost done! Just one more game. The Championship! My 3rd grader is so excited. The other are just eh so what no big deal.
- The only problem with basketball ending is baseball is starting.
- Don't get me wrong I love baseball. I am more than ready to see the Rangers. What I don't like are the practices (for 3 teams) and late school nights.
- My kids and their grades are going to get them into trouble. I always think my husband over reacts about their grades but one of them is about to get it. And he will deserve every little thing he gets.
- I told him so yesterday only to get another notice this morning about more 0's he has. Yes I said more and added a s to that. When I told him I got another notice he said oh I know she told me yesterday!
- I thought my head was going to explode.
- Don't get me wrong he is not the only one but his are the worst right now.
- One of my sons teachers is out for an unspecified amount of time. She was in an accident. She is ok (if ok is alive, I assume she has some major injury since she will be out for a while). I had to call and ask about it today because of course my son has some papers he needs to redo/do that should have already been done.
- They have brought in a certified teacher to take over her class until she returns.Well wishes to her.
- Oh I cant find one thing in the news or on the net about the accident. It is driving me crazy.
- Ok the meds are kicking in I am going to take a nap....

Stuff...
- Had a good lunch date with my Chelebell today! Man we always have a good time and we say some pretty funny stuff.
Man why is it so hard to suck it out?
Let me see your boob. (yep I got to see it right there at the table)
Its too big and too hard.
- There were more but for the life of me I cant think of them right now. Oh well
- My kids had a basketball game tonight. They lost. It wasn't a surprise. But the good news was they looked like a basketball team.
- One of the boys wants to quit. Its because of the other one. I was talking to our friend about it and he stopped and talked to the one causing problems ( I love having such good friends, not only do we have a good time but they truly care about our kids). Of course he said that nothing was going on. Ha. Its time for me to talk to the coach about my own son :| how is that going to work out?
- That being said is it wrong for me to want my own kid to get knocked down a peg or two at school? He is getting arrogant, cocky, and almost what I would call down right mean to others.
- I have already had a talk with him about it and the next step will be punishment and friend interventions. I am not having it and he wont be allowed around those encouraging it.
- I have been subbing more lately. I like it. It gets me up and running and out of the house.
- Baseball season is about to start! I am so excited. The boys are going to start practicing in 2 weeks. And the Rangers start in April. EKKK!
- Oh and there have been some stuff going on in the youth baseball league.
- Decatur pulled out of the group so they could play pony league. (really I think its because they didn't get to be over the county and they wanted to change the drafting rules so they could what would amount to stacking a team)
- The rest of the county have been talking about going that way too. Not splitting up just joining pony league.
- I cant wait to see what happens.
- The boys team did some tournaments last year. They were fun. Alot of work and expensive but fun.
- This weekend I am going to make a big change to my hair.
- Its past half way down my back and it is getting chopped off to chin length. And I am either going blonde or red. I haven't decided yet.
- News stuff:
- Who would leave there baby at home alone so both parents can take another child to the doctor? Just dumb.
- And who is stupid enough to make threats on facebook for the world to see?
- Really? You need to burn down a house because you are pissed at your grandmother?
- That's it for now. I have to get to bed.

AHHH
Let me start this by saying I am not perfect by any means and I know it.
I do not understand what is happening in our schools. How is it that you can graduate from high school without knowing how to speak? Without knowing how to read? Without knowing how to write (type)? Without knowing how to add, subtract, multiply and divide? Those are basic skills needed in life. I have had to unfriend a few people on facebook because reading their post makes me so pissed off. They just finished high school last May, I don't understand how one can post things like :
Some teachers drive me crazy. It's not ok for my kids to do an entire six weeks worth of work in one week. No mater how many times I get on to them about their school work, if you keep letting them get away with that, they will continue to do it. If the only time you post grades is at the end of the six weeks, I don't even know they are doing it until its too late. I think children should get the grade they earn. If they do half the work they should get half the grade and if they don't bother to do it in the first place they should get a big fat zero. If they didn't study for the test then they should keep the grade that shows it. Now I am not anti help the kids. I know sometimes they are going to forget but let there be some kind of consequence for it. If they forget their homework one night let them complete it turn it in, but give them an extra assignment too. If they fail a test let them retake it but make them come to tutorials twice (on their own time not classroom time) and then retake the test. Instead of multiple choice make it fill in the blank or essay. Only give them the extra opportunities so many times and then let them be stuck with what they have earned. A diploma should be harder to get than just showing up (some don't even do that). It should mean something.
Oh and by the way, I don't care if my kids are not allowed to play football, basketball, baseball, or any other sport because they didn't pass their classes. If they don't pass them they will be lucky to see the sunshine until they do pass them. I spend anywhere from one to three or four hours doing homework with my kids each night ( I have five so sometimes it takes a while), I get on to them when I see a zero or even a low grade posted, I ask about homework and test. I am concerned, interested, and involved in my children and their education. I am not the parent that will blame a teacher because my child did not pass. I am the parent that wants to know if they are not doing their work or they are struggling.

Got love wake n being sick so I guess I well get up n pick up the house n take a bath then back to bed I go n sleep all day );AHHHHH! I know I make mistakes but every single one of her post are like this. I also know her and know she can not add or subtract money. I blame the school for letting her graduate. Don't get me wrong, I know its take the school, teachers, and parents to educate a child, however it is the schools job to make sure they are educated before giving out diplomas.
Had a good day with them (: I love having a day with them thanks you mom for let me had a day with my baby girls (: love y'all baby girl (:

My poor babies...
- My 8 year old woke me up early Wednesday morning not felling well. He had a fever. It was controllable so even though the flu is going around I didn't take him to the doctor. That was the only thing wrong with him. He was a happy camper as long as he had Tylenol through out the day.
- Around 5 he started to cough and sound terrible.
- To the doctor he went first thing the next morning.
- He ended up having some bacteria infection (his limp nods were swollen), type b flu (which is the old flu, not the N1H1 stuff), and that nasty cough was Croup .
- Poor thing :(
- We moved kids around because we didn't want the whole house to get it. So he got a room all to himself for a while, which was really cool until he realized he had to stay in it and no one could come play with him.
- That night before I went to bed I went into check on him. He sounded horrible. He was wheezing and it sounded like he was gargling. It scared me.
- He sat in the steamy bathroom with me for about 15 mins before I would let him go back to sleep.
- It wasn't peaceful though because every 15-20 mins I was in there checking on him. Finally he just moved to the living room with me and I let him sleep while I watched...all night.
- The croup is far worst than the flu.
- Before morning I had another one with fever. The doc just called me in some Tamaflu(?)
- That stuff is expensive! And it doesn't get rid of the flu but man is it worth it. One day of fever and he was still a little queasy but that's it.
- We still have a coughing 8 year old, (Doc said 7-14 days and he is contagious until he stops coughing), one that has been coughing but with no fever only sore throat, one that is just starting to get the flu (fever, complete ickyness), one recovering quickly, and one that is happy go lucky.
- I have no idea how I am not sick. (Beside the headache from all the noise of sick kids needing something and the hubby home with the TV so loud you cant hear the person next to you)
- I am ready for this to be over and for the kids to get back outside to play.

Need to get back..
I need to get back to posting. I have started a few post and then just end up saving them for later. I can't seem to share what is on my mind lately. I get the kids stuff in here and then just quit. In short here are the post I was going to make...
- My kids had a very busy but great Christmas. I did too.
- At one of these Christmas family things my aunt removed a plate from the trash so she could wash it and load it back up with food.
- We all had a good laugh and made jokes about it, well because she already had the nine containers she brought with her full, what the hell how much stuff could she need?
- I enjoyed most of the holiday. My husband is off the same time the kids are for the most part. He went back a few days earlier.
- I do enjoy my family but I was really looking forward to having some peace and quiet when everyone went back. It still hasn't happened. I have been so busy that its not even funny.
- I want to apply for a job that a friend just quit. I am not sure my reasons are honorable. I want to know if it was really just shitty or if it was because she is really ditsy and couldn't do the work needed.
- Those are not the only reasons...I have been thinking I want to go back to work for a while. The problems is I don't know what I would do with my kids. I mean I could put them in a after school program or something but by the time I paid for that and gas and food and wear and tear on the car....oh and don't forget new clothes, you cant start a new job without new clothes :) I wouldn't really be making enough money to justify not being with the kids and not being able to the the house work and other stuff.
- My kids are getting older. Grown up. Doing things and getting caught. The hubby has to deal with that because I can seem to stop turning red and/or laughing. There is a story but it shares way, and I do mean way to much information.
- My baby out grew me a few months ago but he is now at least 4 or 5 inches taller than me :( I was telling my sister where he used to hug me and put his head on my shoulder now he hugs me and I put my head on his shoulder.
- The kids are playing basketball. Having lots of fun.
- Our oldest has hit a huge mile stone in our lives. He is getting his permit today.
- Who knew there were so much paper work do get the dang thing. 11 items plus the written test at DPS. Geez.
- That's it for now.

My kids say some funny stuff...
As my little one runs out of the doctors office he yells...
"I am a running midget!"
My 8 and 7 year olds had the conversation the other day:
A: "Can we get me a boy ring?" (This is because he bought me a ring in the Santa shop at school and has been asking to wear it.)
K: "Maybe when you get married your wife can give you a ring."
K: "Well that's if you get married."
A: "Hey!" ( You would think this is because he doesn't want to ever get married because at 7 girls are supposed to have cooties. But no.)
K: "What some people don't want to get married and they die alone!" (Geez kid)
A: "But I'm cute."

LIfe and Stuff
- Its finally getting cold.
- I cant decide if I am happy or sad about that.
- We put up our tree today. I haven't really been in the Christmas spirit yet this year. That is way off for me. Thanksgiving and Christmas are my 2 favorite holidays.
- Not for the giving and getting stuff or even the food.
- I love to see my family. Some of which this is the only time I spend with them.
- That is because that is all I can handle some of them, but I still like to catch up and learn how they are doing.
- I usually have Christmas planned out to the T by now but I don't even know what everyone is doing yet. So That means I cant plan when and where we will be.
- Oh well.
- I also haven't started my shopping. I want to make this Christmas a small one with a few gifts each. The hubby is on the other side of that. He wants them to get most if not all of their list. (That is not going to happen).
- Basketball games this weekend:
- My MIL kinda pushed my buttons before the games even started. She called and asked what time they started and when I told her she asked me at least 3 times if I was sure because she found a website that listed all the games and it said it was at 11, not 2. Oh and it was in a different town. Sigh. I know I don't remember everything but when it comes to my kids needing to be somewhere I am pretty on top of things.
- I keep it in my planner and on my calendar on my phone with reminders. I do that for a reason.
- The first game was great. Every single player on the team scored at least one point point! It was fun to watch and the boys did really well.
- The second game started out slow. They were down by 9. That is alot for 2nd graders. They ended up coming back and it was a nail bitter. The last 2 minutes of the game it was within 2 points or tied the whole time. The boys ended up winning by one point in the last 20 seconds of the game.
- I made homemade chili for dinner tonight. It was good, but a little spicy for me and not quite spicy enough for the hubby. I don't know how we manage to eat the same food each night. Our taste are so different.
- Oh I have been reading a book a day for the last week. I love it but now I am out of books to read. I need ideas.
- That's it for tonight. I am going to get to go to bed early for once.

Children
- Mine make me want to pull my hair out sometimes.
- I had a great compliment last night. My youngest sons teacher has a daughter the same age as my oldest. She was telling me how smart her daughter thinks my son is.
- The only problem with that is he is failing several classes because he wont turn in his work. Including the one that her daughter is in.
- I sat outside the school waiting for 2 of my children yesterday for an hour. Why you ask? because even though they knew they were going to be practicing late the night before and were reminded before practice they never bothered to tell me.
- They were told next time they would be mighty embarrassed because I would go in there and drag them out by the ears if I had to.
- I have 5 kids I don't have time to spend the evenings waiting around in a parking lot for an hour.
- I have 2 boys that like to tell me they did their work and turned it in but for some reason they keep getting 0's for their work.
- Yeah, I wasn't born yesterday. Maybe if it were one teacher and one paper I might believe that but I am not going to believe that about 4 different teachers about 9 different assignments.
- They really hate when I call their teachers and figure out what is really going on.
- I am finally going to get some answers and help for my youngest son. It is about time and I am nervous and excited about what is going to happen next.
- They also brighten most any day.
- With smiles, love and laughter.
- My youngest is almost always smiling. He is happy just to see me after school.
- The next one always wants a hug and to play a game.
- The older 3 have really gotten out of the lovey stages and want to do their own thing. When they share their stories though I can help but smile and laugh with them.
- Last night my kids were up past their bed time finishing up their stuff. When it became playing I went back to their room to tell them to get in bed. An hour ( maybe a little more) later I finally had to tell them to get in bed or they were grounded. Then I had to go back and tell them to be quite only to spend another 15 mins with them talking and laughing.
- It is fun. My children are becoming young men and sharing their stories not only as a mom but as a friend is amazing.
Blessings
I count mine. I know how blessed I am to have the family I have. Not just my husband and children but also the extended family, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, nieces, nephews, and friends. Those people who do amazing things for others. Sometime just because, others because they know they need help with something. These people bring great joy and laughter to my life. They are there when I need to talk, when I need to scream my head off about someone or something stupid, they are there to pick me up when I fall and help me find my way back. We share a bond that cant be broken. It amazes me how wonder and generous these people in my life are.
My cousins and I received a great blessing that came at a time that somehow we all needed. I am not sure how he knew or if he knew at all but it sure did make us all cry with gratitude and relief. It was received from our uncle, made possible by the generosity of our mothers at a time when he needed it. He passed it on to us and I hope to one day do the same. Thanks Uncle Randy, Aunt Candy and Mom. I want you to know that we know we are blessed to call you family and we are grateful for all you do and have done. I love you.

LIfe and Stuff...
- Basketball...
- The big ones are on the same team. They had their first game last week. I didn't get to see it.
- It was not a very good game though.
- The score was like 46-3? Not sure about the other teams score though.
- My 2 boys scored the 3 points.
- Bad thing/ Good thing?
- They play again tonight. I get to watch. I hope it is better.
- The little ones played on Sat.
- They both won their games.
- They had pictures before the game.
- My little one did really feel all that well. (He woke up with a tummy ache and then had a head ache. Then he tells me he is fine but he was running a 102 fever. I have no clue what was going on with him. He is better now though.)
- The gym was loud.
- All the 3rd grade games are there and most of the 2nd grade ones :\
- I needed a nap after being there for almost 3 hours.
- The 3rd grade game was fun to watch. They have been working on plays and I actually saw a few. My son did not score any points but he did make a few good plays. A couple of steals, rebounds and really good passes. One thing I can say about my son is he is not a ball hog. (unlike some others).
- The 2nd grade game was fun but man it was a beating. Some of those kids had no idea what to do. Mine included. They are only allowed to practice one night a week and have not had time to go over all the stuff they needed to. I was afraid he was going to get out there and never get to touch the ball. He didn't alot at first but once he got going he did get to do a few things. Throw ins, a rebound or two.
- I am excited because they are having so much fun with it.
- The hubby made diner last night. It was so good! If you have never had pineapple grilled you should try it sometime.
- I am making a shopping list and buying only what is on this list this week.
- Christmas is only a few weeks away and I am not in the spirit yet.
- The tree isn't up and non of the decorations are out. I haven't even started shopping.
- I do have list from all the kids though. Maybe I will do it all online and see what I come up with. Who knows.
- I do need to get my niece and nephews stuff in the mail soon if I want it there by Christmas. Sigh. I don't want to....

Life and Stuff
- This past week was beautiful.
- Thanksgiving was nice. We had our cousin and her family show up this year. Their plans were canceled last minute. It was really great to have them back. Its not quite the same with so many people gone.
- One of my Aunts used to bring her own bowls to take stuff home. It had been a long time since I had seen her do that but she started again this year.
- Her sons girl friend is just like her! I laughed when I made that realization the other day while talking about them. This was the first time we all had met the girlfriend. They were late. So everyone was just about done when they showed up. We all started putting things away after they got their plates (because it was outside). She stopped eating and made her togo plates. Did you see that s on the end? That's because she used every cup we had to make her togo plates. The kids didn't have anything to dink out of after that. In the middle of making her plates she also stated that she was so busy making the togo plates that she hadn't even finished her lunch!
- I ended up with a ton of stuff to bring home. Not because I asked for it but because my mom put it in mu car. She is great. I love her bunches!
- The hubby didn't go to lunch because he was too busy playing golf. I didn't really mind. Surprisingly.
- The hubby's side of the family came over for the weekend. I love them. We had a good time. I was glad to have them but man they sure can piss me off. Don't expect to come to my house and drink my beer for 2 days straight and not bring any.
- We always have beer in the house. Usually alot of it. They finished it off and I bought more. Just enough for the hubby and me though. Then the hubby went and bought more. Then the cousins asked me to go get more. I said sure but I wasn't paying for it. They changed their mind. I still ended up paying for more somehow. Geezz people! OH well. At least I go to see them.
- OH and I was supposed to go Black Friday shopping. I changed my mind before I even got out of bed. I didn't want to deal with that mess.
- Oh and I have a question. Is it drinking if I put Irish Cream in my coffee in the morning? I sure hope not because it is sooo good and that will be how I drink my coffee from now on. :)
- So I had 2 kids with poetry projects last. I say had because they have to be turned in Monday. NO late project will be accepted because they extended the due date by a week already.
- One of them is complete for sure. I know because I had to hold a hand to get it done. I almost feel like I did more of the work than he did. Thing is, its all his words and thoughts I just helped him organized them.
- On a last minute thing this morning I remembered we still had to do the pictures for them and we never sent them to be printed. I love one hour Walmart photo! One of them didn't turn out the way it should have. The guy and I had a hard time understanding what I wanted. Once he let me show him what I was going to do with the pictures he gave me exactly what I needed! Thank you Tim in the photo department of Walmart. You made my day.
- They other project was not the same as this one. I know the writing part of it is done but I am not sure it is what the teacher wanted. I tried to tell him that and I was going to show him a few other ideas he could have put in his project but he didn't seem interested. He wanted to be outside playing.
- Yes they both had a full six weeks to complete their projects. Both started only 2 weeks ago and had done very little before the holiday. I was mad, frustrated, irritated, and pissed off by that.
- I hope that the teachers are still going to put in grades when they get back to school on Monday. If not 2 of my children are going to be in big trouble.
- We have a no C policy.
- We will see.

So cool!
I love this! I found a website that I could just type in words and it put them in for me. Then I got to play with the colors and other stuff too!
BTW- I did this today rather than the ton of other stuff that needed to get done!

Life and Stuff
- Short and sweet!
- I have no idea what I really want to do for Thanksgiving. My husband wants to just stay home and do our own.
- We are not. We are however going to go to my Grandfathers. I personally have not gone there in years. I don't really have any desire to go though but I do want to be with family on one of my favorite holidays.
- I do love my family.
- Tonight I was in a baking mood. So this week we are going to have lots of stuff to snack on.
- Sopapilla Cheese Cake, banana pudding, Cinnamon rolls (home made, I am doing them in the morning because it takes like 6 hours to do them right).
- Then I get to start baking for Thursday.
- The kids are excited to be out of school for the week. Me too kinda. I hope we get lots of stuff done.
- My youngest boys room has been clean (almost spotless) for over a week now. I am completely shocked by this. Getting them new beds where they cant hide stuff under was the best idea ever!
- My hubby keeps pissing me off. He plays cards on his phone and keeps buying chips when he is all out. That wouldn't be a problem except he is spending 20 dollars a day on something that even if he wins is never going to pay out any money? What the hell is the point in that?
- For some reason I am already in the mood to do Christmas shopping.
- It might be because all but one of the kids have given me a good list to start with. I get so excited buying gifts for other people.
- Thats it for now.

Life and Stuff...
- So I was told I needed an update. Here it goes...
- The kids are keeping me busy.
- Football is finally over. The boys finished off with a win which was nice for them.
- One ended up with more playing time the last 2 games due to an injury of another player. He played both sides of the ball. I was excited for him. The last game he had to tell the coach he needed to come out a minute for a break. I think it was the only time he was off the field.
- Damn kids a school keep giving him a hard time though. They keep telling him they are better than him and he sucks and they don't know why he is on the A team. I feel bad for him but keep reminding him that not only did he start on A team with a starting position but also kept it all season and then when they needed someone to fill in they asked him. He must be doing something right.
- Last night the other one told me some kids were picking at kid 1 and his basketball skills. Don't get me wrong I have no illusions that he can play but they still don't need to be picking at him. I think its past time for a talk with the coaches. The kid takes all this stuff to heart.
- One of the boys got into a fight at school since the last time I posted. Geez my boys should know better. I have a no fighting policy. For any reason.
- The little ones are playing basketball and the 2 middle schoolers are trying out for basketball. I will let you know how that goes.
- I have never watched a young kids basketball game. I know they slowly add all the rules to the game. I don't think you can even block in the youngest ones age group. Who knows but I am excited.
- They hubby is good. He has also just finished up football (coaching). I am truly glad it is over. But I think he will be the commissioner next year which will be alot more work. At least it will be the he wants it and I wont have to listen to him complain. I hope he makes the changes that need to be made.
- This is going to be me pouting so you can skip the next one if you want :)
- He says he is going to take me out to see the new Twilight movie but I am not holding my breath. Then he tells me I need to invite one of our friends. :( I just want a date with my hubby for once. It has been over a year since we went out by ourselves. (and yes I haven't even been married a year) He owes me a date :)
- Oh! Oh! I put together 2 loft beds for the little boys. Me all by myself without help from anyone. I must say they look good, there are no left over parts, no scratches, and everything is nice and tight.
- Do you know why all that is true? Because I am a woman. I know how to read instructions and follow them. I don't do things my own way just because I think they are right. I do them the right way.
- Ok so maybe I did them by myself because my husband wont let me help him put anything together any more because I am a little bossy and give little suggestions of how to help.
- Oh and I think I might be in trouble when my littlest one get older. He is going to be a ladies man. Not only is he cute and sweet, he knows it too.

Frustrated...
I have been separated from my sons father for 12 almost 13 years now. We never had a court document stating custody. I know this sounds dumb on my part. I was young and I am sure my parents would have helped me get one but we always seemed to be able to work things out. Mostly I believe this always worked for us because he accepted I would be keeping our son and he could see him whenever he wanted to. There has never been a enforcement of child support or anything like it. Even in the years when he wasn't showing up to pick my son up I was calling his (the ex) parents and letting them know they could come get him. They did until he would start getting him again or they just couldn't afford to come out here any more. The times when he wasn't showing up was a darker time in his life. A time where he only seemed to figure things out when he was living with his parents. Things changed for him about 4 years ago though and he seemed to get his shit together. I know he doesn't like my hubby and he hates it when I want to talk with my hubby before I make final plans with him ( my ex) about our son. He feels he is our son not his he has no say. I feel just the opposite.
I am not sure what has happen in the last year but for some reason he (my ex) has gotten down right hateful to me. Any time I have a problem with something and tell him about he flat out tells me he doesn't give a shit what I think. About 2 months ago he just decided he was going to keep him for an extra day without asking. Just doing it because it was a holiday and why couldn't he? Did see what he big deal was or why I was mad. His normal time for returning home is anywhere from 1-4 (on the early and late sides) But regardless he should should have our son home by 6. After not answering my calls he has his wife text me at 6:30 saying he would be a little late. Well to me it already past a little late so what time are we talking ? around 8:30. He didn't answer his phone or text me himself because he knew I would be pissed off. I call that being a chicken shit! When he finally calls me back he tells me he doesn't care if I think 830 is too late to bring him home he is trying to have a bbq with his family oh and his brother is in the hospital. Don't get me wrong I am not heartless. I care about his brothers but what does them having a family bbq have to do with his brother in the hospital? Is the bbq at the hospital or something?
Now I am at a cross road and not sure what to do. I am tired of dealing with him treating me like that and I don't want to worry what time he is going to bring my baby home or if he is planing on doing it on the right day. But then I know what happen when custody papers were place with his daughter. He just quit seeing her for a long time. Who does that hurt? not me I would be happy if he would just go away. but it would devastate my son.

Ramblings...about my kids and their school work. I know its boring but I needed to rant.
- My kids are stressing me out!
- My three oldest ones seem to think they only have to do half of their school work.
- I don't get it. I know times change but I truly believe that our school systems are going to shit.
- How is it that students can do such crap work and turn stuff in late and the teachers still accept it and grade it. They have to. It is school policy.
- I will start with my oldest son. They were given a project to do in Physics. They were to pick a sport and find 2 kinds of motion used in that sport. There were several parts to the project. Each listed and described. They had 4 weeks to complete it. One of the assignments was a journal about how the days lesson pertained to the sport they had chosen. My son put his off til the very end and only did bits and pieces of the work. They whole time telling us how cool the project was and how much he enjoyed it. When he turned in what little he did he ended up with about eight 0's and a 31 for a test grade ( and average of the daily grades for the project).
- He redid the project but will only be allowed at the most a 70 and on some a 50 due to lateness. However every part of the assignment he turned in on time he gets to continue to redo until he gets the 70 ( I believe this is part of the no child left behind). If I were a student that worked hard on my project and turned it in on time I would find this highly offensive.
- The middle older child have several 0's in all of his core classes. Just enough that he can get them turned in and pass the class. This frustrates me to no end. I had to ground him for a week just to get him to finally figure out what it was that he didn't get turned in. Then he gave his teacher a response for a journal that I wanted to knock his block off for. He not only redid the journal entry but also gave a written and oral apology. The journal was : If you could invite anyone, dead or alive, to your party, who would it be? Why? His response: Not you. I wouldn't invite you to my party if you were dead or alive. and then something about getting detention and not liking him. What the hell? Really? I didn't raise him to be disrespectful to people. He thought I would never see it.
- Not only did he apologize. I was so embarrassed so did I.
- My youngest of the older ones, well he doesn't have near a many 0's. Only a few, however, non of them are his fault. His teachers just keep losing his papers. He does them and turns them in. He has no idea what is happening to them. If it was just the one teacher ( who I know throws away papers with no name on them because my oldest son had him) then ok maybe he did them and didn't put his name on them but it is 2 different teachers with this problem.
- These are just my kids. They are normally and for the most part well behaved children with good manners. I know I am not the only parent with these problems.
- I feel sorry for the teachers. Like they don't have enough to do with out having to grade late papers and redo papers. I mean I understand redoing papers in some cases like, you tried really hard, did all the work and turned it in on time but just didn't really understand and need the extra help to explain it but otherwise I think it is just adding to our already over worked teachers.
- I think I like the old days, when you either did the assignment or you didn't. You either passed or you didn't. I think letting kids off the hook and allowing them to turn in late work is teaching them a very bad habit for their adult lives.
- The rules of my house used to be you were grounded if you had late work for however long it took you to turn it in and double it. If it takes you 3 extra days to get it turned in then you can be grounded for 3 days after it has been turned in. My husband does not like that rule but I do and I think I am going back to it.
