This weekend was good : )

  • We had company come in on Thursday.
  • Nice people. We didnt do a whole lot due to the time constraints of school pick up but we had a good time.
  • I may need a liver transplant after this weekend.
  • Bowling on Friday. Man I suck! It was a blast though. We are going to have to do it again sometime soon.
  • Saturday during the day was all about the boys and football. They won!
  • Football is finally over !!!!
  • Came in 3rd for the season.
  • Their coach bought himself what we planned for a gift for him. Now I have no clue. Any ideas for a gift for a great man that has been great in not only teaching my children about football but also about responsibility, respect, manners, and many other things?
  • The night consisted of lots of drinking. I may or may not have surprised all the boys coaches (they have become friends).
  • Sunday was beautiful. I cant believe how nice it has been. I loved it. We had a cookout. This time the kids got to come :) (they were sent away for all the other fun)
  • The food was good, the beer was cold, and the company was great. I couldnt have asked for a better afternoon.
  • I just got the kids Christmas list.
  • One of them looks almost like the one from last year only with a few book titles changed. Sigh. We already bought him that stuff and he didnt use it.
  • The little ones lists are a mess. They just run around looking at the stuff they already have and if they like it then they add it to their list. Not very helpful.
  • One wants zebra print socks, or the bright green, pink , purple or blue ones. Have I mentioned that I have all boys. :)
  • The other one is all about video games.

Stuff...

  • The boys football game didnt go so well.
  • One of their players got hurt a week ago. Never went to the doc. After 3 more games he finally had it checked out. He has a hairline fracture. :(
  • I was lazy all weekend. :) The only thing I really did was the one football game.
  • We had a roast tonight for dinner. I was thinking it wouldnt turn out so great by the stuff it said to put in it.
  • It was AWESOME! Even the kids liked it and they dont usually like roast.
  • We record alot of TV now. If its a show I like I just set the thing to record whenever a new one comes on. I love that feature.
  • In the evenings once the kids are in bed the hubby and I usually watch one or two shows and we skip all the commercials. Its really nice because it only takes about half the time.
  • We are having company next weekend. I am both excited and blah about it.
  • Cleaning every inch, nook and cranny in the house is a pain in the arse and it still never looks clean enough for company. Not to mention that as soon as the kids walk through the door it looks as if a tornado has come right through the middle of the house.
  • Excited because we get to meet some friends we have never met in person before.
  • I actually have stuff that I want to put on my Christmas list this year :) My parents will be happy about that. The hubby too!
  • I cant believe that Thanksgiving is almost here :) Its my favorite holiday.
  • You get to enjoy family and friends without all the commercialized and gift giving of Christmas.
  • Well usually you get to spend it with family. My family this year has decided not to do anything together. Just do whatever you want.
  • I think I want to show up at my Moms and have Thanksgiving dinner with my family...or we could just go to the SIL's house a day early.

Life...

  • I am doing better. Not great. But better.
  • I am getting sick though :(
  • I have football over load.
  • The boys had two extra games this week during the week.
  • It was to see if they were going to get to play in the play offs.
  • They are. They played great and if they keep playing the way they did this week they have a good chance to win the Super Bowl!
  • That is it for that cause I am done with football (well not really but I wish I were)
  • Basketball started. The oldest had his first game ever tonight. They lost but he didnt do bad. He is way too short though. Everyone else was about a foot taller than him.
  • Did I mention that I am getting sick...yuck.
  • Thats all. Short and sweet today.

Life and stuff...part 2 : Subbing

I have been subbing as much as I can stand. I subbed half a day on Monday and then again for the same teacher on Friday. Her class has some special students in it. On Monday I had a problem with one student. One that I didnt know had any problems or special needs. She refused to talk to me at all, wouldnt do what I asked her to do, was throwing things at other students, and wouldnt put her stuff up the it was supposed to be. This girl would not even acknowledge that I was talking to her. End the end another aide told her she needed to do it correctly and the girl slammed her locker and stood there with her arms crossed. Another teacher went and got a counselor for me. I never raised my voice, I wasnt frustrated with her, and thought I had handled her fairly well. I guess not because I got a note from the teacher on Friday. "Backing them into a corner like Monday will cause problems." I was pissed, almost enough to ask for a new sub for the day. I didnt back that girl in a corner. She was rude and disrespectful and not doing what she was supposed to be doing. I was going to let her take her stuff home like it was because I know if my kids had brought home a folder like that they would have been in trouble. All that being said, Friday went pretty well but I still wont be subbing for her ever again.

Life and Stuff.....

**Edit** Its been so long that I almost feel like I have fallen off the face of the earth.

Its been a while. I have been busy. Since I last posted a lot has happen sports wise..so I will start with those thoughts.

  • The Rangers lost the World Series. Either they played awful or the Giants are way better. I dont really keep up with baseball to much any more.
  • I tried for years to get my hubby to go to a baseball game with me and he wouldnt have anything to do with them. He wasnt even remotely interested.
  • He went to 2 championship games.
  • We will be going to a few regular season games next year. :)
  • The Cowboys really suck. Thats all I have to say about them.
  • My oldest son is done with football. Last week was his last game. It was cold and wet. Not raining the whole time just drizzling enough to keep you wet. They won. It was a great way to end Middle School football for him :)
  • He was pissed at me when I didnt let him stay to watch the other game like I had planned. It hadnt rained all day when I planned that. It pored on the game after his. I was glad I didnt let him stay he would have been sick after playing in the rain when it was so cold out.
  • PeeWee football. Well I have lots to say about this. Maybe in another post?
  • or not...We have to play 2 extra games this week to see who is going to be in the play offs. :(
  • We lost on Saturday to an incomplete pass. I was so mad. The call was made and we have to live with it and I can handle that but was got me so mad was to watch the other teams coach turn around and ask if he was in get the answer no and the smile and shrug about it and laugh. That was about all I could take...I yelled at him. He didnt even know :( As I took off yelling my MIL stopped me.
  • That was a good thing the hubby was already pissed at the other coach for telling the team he wanted the QB on his back every play with or without the ball. That my friends is bad coaching.....have I mentioned that the QB is one of my sons. Yep one pissed off hubby.

Ok thats all the sports stuff for now.
