Stuff...

  • There is some animal making a really weird noise outside right now. Its driving me nuts.
  • Soccer is in full swing now. I really do enjoy watching my kids play (when I actually get to watch them and not constantly look for and keep up with the others and their many little fights).
  • One of the boys keeps asking if they can walk to the skate park. They (2 of them anyway) have before but the last time they got in a fight (you know the actual push and hitting kind). The answer is no. no. no.
  • I know people think I am harsh with my boys but I cant stand to see kids running around misbehaving. I dont want my boys to be one of them.
  • I am having a hard time getting my little one to eat anything but junk food. I dont mean just cookie and cokes and candy. I mean he wants hot dogs and chicken nuggets and fish sticks. He wont eat veggies hardly at all and most meat we have to make him eat. He tells me it disgusting. Thank you Honey. Once he starts eating though he likes it. Grrr...
  • I am not ready for Easter this year. It seems weird that its already here.
  • I havent talked to my Dad in a while. I have tried to call him the past few days but no answer. I wonder if he went out of town.
  • My middle schooler had detention for not bringing his book to class. He says this is only the second time and it doesnt happen often but his idea of often and mine are not the same.
  • I started walking this week. The little ones love it because they get to play at the park while I walk. The older ones not so much because I picked them up late yesterday. Opps.
  • My hubby wants me to order him some boots "like the ones he had last year or was it the year before?" He has no clue where I ordered them from. Me either hun, me either.
  • My mom got me a new camera for my Birthday. The boys said it was like theirs. Kinda but mine is a different brand and alot nicer, so really nothing like theirs. Hehe.
  • That damn thing is still making noise.

ITS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

  • I just received some really beautiful flowers :)
  • I have had all kinds of phone calls today.
  • I love that.
  • I get to talk to some family that I dont talk to one a daily (or weekly for that mater) basis.
  • I told my littlest one today is my Birthday and he said no he wanted it to be his birthday.
  • The hubby told me happy birthday yesterday. I told him it wasnt my birthday and he said "Today is the 23rd right?" Yes honey it was but thats still not my birthday.
  • His response was well he told me then so if he forgets today it will be ok.
  • Not so much.
  • I am going to make my own cake. He is sweet enough that he would go buy me one but I like home made better unless its pie. I cant make pies. I suck at it. Either they burn or the filling gets under the crust.
  • My older kids the ones that should remember my birthday since I have been saying for 2 weeks my birthday is this Wednesday, didnt remember this morning :( But thats ok I will remind them again when they get home :)
  • I never know what I want for my birthday (or Christmas). It drives people crazy.
  • Thats all...today is beautiful!

Its Over....sigh....

  • Spring Break was fun. Busy but fun.
  • Surprisingly everyone was in bed on time and got up easily this morning.
  • We started Spring Break with a trip to see my SIL.
  • Then the kids swear they had soccer practice on Monday.
  • We rushed around Monday after noon trying to get new soccer cleats and get everything done before practice. There was no practice and I was pissed.
  • Tuesday the kids got new shoes. All of them. It was stressful.
  • Just taking all the kids into a store all at once by myself is a beating but then trying to find them each something they like that fits is almost impossible.
  • Kolby was easy. He found a pair of shoes that came with a comic book. They had his size and he was done. I dont know if he even knew what the shoes looked like before we left the store.
  • That caused all kinds of problems with the littlest one because he wanted ones with a comic book too.
  • I tried a pair of shoes on him and he hated them and they hurt his feet until he saw the comic book in the box. I tried every other pair of shoes I could find that he might like and he wouldnt have any of it. We ended up getting the pair with the comic book that hurt his feet but they cant hurt to bad cause he wears them all the time (as in never takes the damn things off) and doesnt complain about them hurting.
  • You would think the other would be easier because they are older and can pick them out and try them on with out my help. I just needed to check them once they were done, right? HUH. They were the worst ones.
  • They couldnt find any they liked and when they did they couldnt find it in their size. The deal was I would pay $50 for them shoes, if they cost more than that they had to pay for the rest. They managed to find shoes for less. I knew they could do it :)
  • I hunted shoes and hunted shoes only to find them and they not fit. He was looking for 2 sizes to big.
  • The other one kept getting shoes that were to small. He stated with a 5 1/2 and ended up getting a 7. In his defense there wasnt much of a difference in the shoes.
  • The other one did ok. He just picked the ugliest shoes in the store. But hey thats my kid for ya.
  • The older kids went to spend Wednesday with their other parents.
  • Thursday they came back or I picked them up on the way to Chuck E Cheese.
  • I ended up trading kids around before I came home. I got one that was scared of the dark. I mean really really scared of the dark. It wasnt as bad as I thought it would be.
  • Friday we spent the day at the park with my family. It was fun. When we got home the youngest ones wanted to know why the big kids got to go to the park down the road from us but I wouldnt take them.
  • I wanted to yell "because I am worn the fuck out" I didnt I used the because I said so thing.
  • I always hated that when I was a kid.
  • Damn it I got up to pick up the kids and I forgot what I was rambling about.

Things I noticed on our road trip...

  • My kids are pretty good.
  • They can even be nice a sweet to each other when they want to.
  • There is not much to see between here and Houston. :/ blah.
  • The rest stop in Huntsville is one of the nicest I have seen and is always clean.
  • It still creeps me out at night.
  • No how clean the car is before we start its always a mess before we make it back home.
  • Even with a trash bag the kids leave trash all over the car. We went the last half of the trip with no snacks or drinks because of it.
  • The kids and hubby can read in the car. I cant. I get car sick.
  • The little ones can entertain themselves every easily.
  • Driving while watching one dance in the back seat and not get caught doing it is hard.
  • I wonder where he got his moves? I hope not from me cause it took everything I had not to laugh. It was a mix of the 70's and 80's.
  • When the hubby says he needs to use the bathroom we stop within 5 mins. When the kids tell us we ask them if they can wait. That doesnt sound so fair to me.
  • Once we stop once for a bathroom break it seems we have to stop at least every hour for one. Drives me nuts.
  • My hubby's idea of half and my idea of half are not the same.
  • My car does not handle at 90 as well as 80.
  • I need new brakes.
  • When you get off 45 on a service road that you would think put you right back on, it doesnt.
  • Some people are real asses when driving. I think my hubby is one of them. He also wants me to be when he is in the passenger seat.
  • I was almost rear ended by the same guy more than once. One time I am almost certain he was less than 6 inches from me.
  • I never knew there was so much traffic on 45. At all hours.

Some things drive me crazy....

  • My son hurt his arm last weekend while he was with his mother.
  • I wanted to take the insurance card up to the hospital but they were done before I got there and said oh no it will be ok. She will fax it from work on Monday.
  • HUH. Yeah right. I knew that wasnt going to happen. I took the card up there today after I called to make sure it was there. I dont want a bunch of unpaid hospital bills.
  • It looks bad on credit. Then again it would have been her credit. Still, I would much rather it show up a good credit on ours though.
  • All the info on file was hers. Yes she is his mother and yes she has a right to be on it but all his primary info should be our home, our number, the hubbys name and info. That kinda stuff because if they need something they are going to have to call us. Or well they can call her and she call us and then call them back or have us do it.
  • I am not saying she shouldnt be on there at all, just that she should have put his dad on there first. He lives with us and we are the ones that deal with all that stuff and we are the ones are going to be paying for it so we are the ones who need the bill.

Oh the joys of being a step parent.

Socks, Socks, and more Socks!

  • They are every where and I cant seem to find one damned pair.
  • The sock thing was just out of control in my house. I couldnt take it any more.
  • I bought new socks for everyone in my house yesterday. OMG who knew that would be so expensive.
  • We washed and folded all the socks. Anything that didnt have a match or had a hole went in the trash.
  • We threw out about a half a bag of socks.
  • After all that we still only matched about 10 pair of socks. 10! thats it. 10! (that doesnt include the ones everyone is already wearing.)
  • 10 pair for 7 people, most of which are the hubbys. Well that means either my kids are not wearing matching socks most of the time or I am washing the same 2 pair of socks over and over all week.
  • I am going with the second (but we all know it probably the first).
  • I have no clue what to do with all the soccer, baseball, and football socks. I dont want to throw them out because we still use them all the time and I never know what color the boys will need the next year.
  • I do however think that 12 pair of Texas Ranger blue socks are too damn many.
  • All that being said. My sock problem no longer exist. Everyone has new socks. Most importantly though we dont have any extras :)

  • I washed my sons phone last night :( It comes on with another ones battery but not with his.
  • If its messed up he has to replace it cause I wont.
  • My other son lost the camera he got for Christmas. It was a nice one. I am not happy.
  • These are just 2 examples of why I dont like my kids to have expensive toys (electronics).
  • My kid with the hurt arm really doesnt like me this week. I wont let him run and play and he cant play on the computer or video games. He is bored out of his mind.
  • My opinion on this is if his arm is so hurt and sore that he cant participate in school and can practice his horn then its too hurt to do those things too.
  • Man I am a mean momma. :( Poor kids.
  • I have been avoiding something that I can no longer put off.
  • Once it is over with I wont have near as much stress. Stress make me super crazy. By crazy I mean a total Bitch.
  • And being a bitch all the time makes me tired.
  • I loved diner tonight. It was kinda like a breakfast pie. It was croissant roll with eggs, sausage, and cheese. Yummy. Yummy. Yummy!
  • I was playing a game online today and someone tried to have cybersex. This wouldnt have bothered me near as much but it was on Yahoo and my kids play games there sometimes.
  • I always want to go through all their crap and then tell them I am some fat hairy guy but I blush just at the thought of describing some sexual act to a stranger much less actually type it out. I think it might kill me.

  • This weekend was interesting.....I guess.
  • Didnt do too much.
  • We were supposed to eat brunch with my parents on Sunday.
  • We didnt get to :(
  • We got all the way there and got a call about our oldest child being hurt.
  • He hurt his arm again. It ended up not being broke but he is in a brace for a week or two.
  • Soccer starts today. I am excited and dreadful.
  • Its raining again.........
  • I am really upset about not getting to eat with my parents. :/
  • I think I resent my husband. More so than I realize.
  • I gave up alot to be with him and it seems like I keep giving up bits and pieces of myself.
  • When I moved I gave up seeing my friends and family everyday. Then it became more and more. Now I dont even talk to my friends from before my husband. My hardly ever see my family now and most of them only live a hour away.
  • I no longer work because I take care of our children. It would cost more for child care than I would make a week. He has been saying he doesnt want me to go back to work even when the youngest goes to school.
  • My father now lives just a few hours away and we still dont see him but on holidays.
  • My sister in law lives about 5-6 hours from us and we have seen her more in the past 4 months (when she moved there) than we have seen my dad in the past 2 years.
  • Its not that I dont enjoy it I just think my life needs to be about me and what I want sometimes.
  • All this added together makes me a very pissed off unhappy person.
  • I love my husband and I dont want a divorce but I want myself back. All of those things were a part of what made me who I am.
  • I also think this all distributes to my depression.
  • Wow that was more than I intended to let out....

These things are going to be the death of me....

I LOVE them but damn they have soooo much fat.

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

Sigh....I have been busy..

  • Ok so one of the little ones had tubes put in his ears yesterday.
  • I got him up at 4am so he could have breakfast because after 4:30 he couldnt eat anything because they scheduled him for 12 o'clock surgery. grrr.
  • He had 3 pieces of Cinnamon toast, 2 cookies, a yogurt, and a glass of chocolate milk. Can you say PIG.
  • We are supposed to be there by 10:30 so we need to leave by 9:30 with no stops on the way.
  • After I get the other boys off to school and give the little his last drinks until after surgery I start getting ready and get the hubby up...sorta.
  • The hubby gets up 30 mins. before we leave and ask if he has time to shower. GRRRR.
  • As we are getting ready to leave he wants to stop and get a drink to wake him up.
  • We stop and he forgot his wallet so we have to go back and get it. Then stop again and he gets himself something to eat too. I have more than one problem with this. He didnt ask if anyone else wanted anything and he was eating in front of a 5 yr old that couldnt have anything to eat or drink.
  • The big breakfast at 4 am worked cause the little one didnt ask for anything to eat or drink until after the surgery.
  • The other little one that had to go too not so much. He was hungry before we even got to the hospital.
  • Thank goodness for moms :) My mom took him to play and grab a bite to eat while we were waiting.
  • The MIL came too but she had to leave early cause we still were not in yet the kids were going to need to be picked up from school. Thank goodness for MIL's. She was not happy about this though. She wanted to stay.
  • Surgery scheduled for noon didnt happen till after 2. I was starving cause I didnt have breakfast cause I ran out of time :(
  • Surgery was quick when it finally got started. He was only away from us for about 20 mins at the most.
  • Poor thing. His ears hurt and his leg. I had no clue so I had to ask if they had done something to it. Turns out he got a shot there. Poor thing.
  • I may have held back a few tears when he was crying cause his ears hurt.
  • He had 2 pop cycles and we got to leave. We were only in recovery for maybe 30 mins.
  • We finally got to eat on the way home:) His choice McDonald's, of course.
  • He was so good all day :)
  • Now we are just hoping that this fixes his hearing problems. They will test it again in a few weeks.

Blah Blah Blah...

  • MIL's.. sometimes they are great, sometimes not so much. Well right now I am loving mine. She comes in handy being so close. You know for those times when damn it I have already started diner only to remember I forgot one thing. The kids can run and borrow it for me :) My MIL is really pretty good.
  • One of the boys will be getting tubes put in his ears tomorrow. :) and :( We are hoping this will help his hearing. If not we will have to look into something else. I am kinda worried about that.
  • He cant eat after 4:30 in the morning. He will be getting up early for breakfast otherwise I think the day will be unbearable for him...and me.
  • I pulled over on the side of the road today to talk on the phone because it was the hospital for registration info. A really nice cop stopped to check on me and make sure I wasnt stuck. It was raining. After he walked off I wish I would have gotten his name. As much as I like to complain about when people mess up I really like to complement them to their bosses when they do well :)
  • We had some great dentist appointments. Some were last week and some today. Apart from that scheduling mix up (the one where they scheduled us for after the office closed) they really are a great dentist office.
  • Only one cavity :( It will be fixed later this month. That was the earliest they could get him in. The rest were all good and the littlest ones brush their teeth the best. Hard to believe. They brush so well the dentist asked if I was still brushing their teeth.
  • Sigh. My oldest just came in and said I forgot his math meet this weekend. I didnt forget because I didnt know. He told me they would be having 3 more and he would get a paper telling me about them. Well he got the paper he just didnt give it to me so I didnt know to take him. Now he doesnt get to go to the other ones. I am really irritated at him for this. He got his bag and I found the note inside but he still insist that he gave it to me.
  • He watched me take it out of his bag with his other mess of papers. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
  • Cheating or Not Cheating? One of the boys had a paper to do. He had the rough draft that the teacher had already looked at and helped him with some but was hard to read and had alot of miss spellings. This is the only child that really struggles with spelling and writing so..... I copied the rough draft but corrected all the misspellings and had him help write the beginning and ending. He then copied it on his own sheet of paper. I see it as I corrected his rough draft before he made his final copy but for some reason I kinda felt like I might be doing something I shouldnt.
