Monday Night Football!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ok so we had a game rained out and they scheduled it for a Monday night...Grrrr.
  • It was hectic getting everything together, the kids homework and fed, not to mention with all the kids here last weekend they drank the drinks I had bought for the game tonight, but man IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • It was a beautiful night and the game was great!
  • We played Alvord and they were undefeated. They boys were a little nervous this afternoon.
  • At the start of the game Alvord fumbled and Bridgeport recovered! We made the first touch down (but not the extra points) and things were good.
  • The Alvord scored and got the 2 extra points :( We fumbled and turned over the ball. They score again but this time they stop the extra points. In this they have a few really good plays and one or two run away plays. We went into the second half 6-14 Alvord.
  • First possession they tie it up though. The boys went back out onto the field fired up and ready to win.
  • Alvord get the ball and catch a pass to move them close to a touch down but the Bulls manage to hold them receiving the ball on downs at the one yard line.
  • Alvord get a touch back and 2 points and the ball back. Man I was pissed at this. I was sure they were going to get the 2 points and a touch down but they didnt the bulls held them then recovered a fumble (i think, it may have been on downs).
  • The Bulls score!!!!!!!!!!
  • The score is now 20-16 and Alvord has the ball. They are pushing their way through yard by yard and there was almost 5 mins left in the game. I thought they would get it but the Bulls held 'em.
  • With two major sacks Bulls get the ball back and the game is over!
  • Great game, both teams played very well.
  • Grats to the Bulls Black with the win 20-16!

This Weekends Craziness

  • Friday was Clown Day at school for my littlest one. Isnt he so cute!?
  • Football and soccer were at the same time this weekend. :( I hate that. I went to the soccer game and the hubby went to football.
  • The soccer game was ok. I missed a goal though so I am not really sure who won. I thought it was a tie but at the end they didnt have a shoot out they shook hands.
  • The little one tells everyone its my fault he doesnt know if they won or not. Lol. I guess.
  • My Mom was there. It was really good to see her. I was really excited when she said she was coming.
  • The football game was good so I hear. They won 24-0. One of my children made 2, yep thats right I said 2, touch downs. His first ever and I didnt get to see them : ...(
  • Then my wonderful husband and I had talked about 2 boys coming home with us to stay the night. They were going to play paint ball in the back yard again.
  • Before I could get back from the soccer game there were 4 extra not including my children coming and before it even got started there were 6 extra children.
  • The house was Crazy loud. That was 9 children between the ages 10-12, my littlest 2, and the hubby.
  • The neighbors house got shot twice, and their car once. I was worried when they came in and told me about the car but all was ok they cleaned it right about and when they were done they cleaned both houses, mine and the neighbors.
  • The good news is they didnt shoot any over the back fence, so the cops didnt show up. I still cant believe that they called the cops last time.....
  • Three of the boys didnt stay the night and the little ones when to the MIL's for the rest of the night.
  • The rest of the night all the others cracked me up. They played with the young ones toys, this includes a police helmets, bumble bee and optimis prime helmets, a chest armor made for a 4 or 5 yr old on a big 10 yr old, batman wings the open up, and many many others. I had to leave the room when they started pantsing each other cause I was afraid I was going to see more than I wanted to.
  • They had a great time. Or so it seemed. I wish I would have had a camera. Its top on my Christmas list this year.
  • The past few weekends the hubby has gotten up and made breakfast :) I really like this.

Stuff....

  • We rented a CO2 tank so we could fill the tanks for the boys paintball guns. It will pay for itself for the year with 2 fills.
  • The kids did really well on their report cards. This makes me happy :)
  • My little one got 2 Ns. :( They either get a check or an N. Thats not really fair. They both had to do with working quietly and listening quietly. He had never had to move his Clipord (a clip that looks like Clifford the big red Dog that they have to move if they get into trouble) and she always says he is so good. :(
  • For the good grades they get a box of paint balls :)
  • It was hell trying to get my oldest to get his make up work and turn it in. I finally had to call his teacher. She said he never asked for the worksheet that he didnt get and the work he did on Monday was still in his bag on Thursday. :(
  • The other 2 didnt do their reading logs...well they did them they just lost them so they received a 0. I am notta happy about it.
  • I got a note about conference (everyone has to have them in the younger grades). The first one was the very next day after the note was returned. One isnt until the 21st but they set aside an afternoon and the kids get out early on this day. The other I still havent heard anything back. I am begining to think that he just lost the note from his teacher about it.... humm.. sneaky little kids.....
  • They canceled Football last weekend.....but not soccer. How can they cancel football and still play soccer? GRRR...we are going to make up the game on Monday. I cant decided if I like this or not.
  • They also moved one of our games from 5:30 to 12:30. I dont like this at all. We have plans that weekend. :( We are going to have to change them.
  • The plans are... my step sister is coming down. I am super excited. I have not gotten to see her boys yet. :( They are almost a year old. I am thinking of getting their birthday and Christmas presents all at the same time, but I dont know if they are going to be having Christmas at their house because my BIL's religion doesnt believe in Christmas. I dont know how they are going to raise the boys. :?
  • I have been really bitchy lately. I think I need a good dose of family and beer. :) I always feel better after I spend some time with my family. I dont know if it because they let me bitch about everything or if its because I am genuinely happy to see them and when I am with them.
  • Ok I feel beat down after that last one so thats all I got.

Places I want to go...

I havent done one of these post in a really long time....

I have actually seen Big Ben before. More than once but I would love to see it again and to have the chance to share it with my children. I love the castles and old Churches in London. :)

When I was younger my family went to England to visit family. My cousin came along. At the time there recently been a bomb (I think on a bus, I was young and really did keep up with things like that). We were going up the escalator in the airport and my cousin's shoe was untied and the lace got caught when she was walking off and she tripped. It made a really loud bang and guards came running. Lots of guards. :)

I think the idea of the romance of Paris is what draws me here. I am certain that I will go to England again one day. I hope that when I do we can make the time for a train ride to here.

Much Better...

  • I am feeling much better now. I am still coughing and stuff but I am feeling much better.
  • The kids are much better too. :)
  • Humm I cant remember the last time I posted about the kids and their sports.
  • Soccer is the same. He doesnt really play a whole lot. The game was good last week though. It ended in a double shoot out. They lost. I am not sure the ref knew what to do and I dont think that it was done correctly. But at the same time I think the ref was a high school student so how much can one complain about it.
  • Football...did I post that they lost the Jacksboro game? It was a good game for the first half and then they just couldnt move the ball. :( They won last weekends game though. I thought it was a good game.
  • One of the boys is playing quarterback part time now. He loves it. He is so proud of himself.
  • I think the kids and their school work, or their lack of wanting to do it, is going to kill me. I wanted to beat one of them yesterday.
  • I am missing another football game today. I hate that but its really too far to go and I would have to get the other kids out of school early.
  • The thunder today scared my little out of his skin. I felt bad that I laughed.

Flu..........

omg I am sick. I have been sick since Sunday. I thought I was getting better but nope, I just had to go out and sit in the damn wind for about an hour. I hate being sick.

All but one of my children have been sick this week. 3 of them have missed at least 2 days of school.

The Doctor was nice enough to prescribe everyone in the house something but I think we may need to go back for more. :(

The hubby got sick today. He pisses me off. When I told him I was sick and didnt want to move and could hardly be up with out being sick he nagged me and still wanted all the house hold stuff done and wanted me to take care of the kids. Today he was not happy with me when I wasnt babying him and getting everything he might need. I thought his head was going to pop off when I told him to run to the store and get something for himself. :) Next time maybe he will remember that if he doesnt help me out while I am sick then I will be damned if I am doing it for him.

Thats all I got for now will update football, soccer, school, and family stuff and anything else when I feel better.

Unhappy....

Why are all the blogs that I really like going to private? What is going on? Does anyone know how to contact someone and get them to invite you to read their blog once it has been set to private?

Yummy....

Beefy nacho Crescent Bake

1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed nacho cheese soup, undiluted
1 cup milk
1 package (8 count) refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/4 cup (1 ounce) shredded Cheddar cheese

optional: Chopped fresh cilantro, salsa

1. Preheat oven to 375F. Cook beef and onion in large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring to break up meat; drain. Stir in salt, black pepper, chili powder, cumin, and oregano (the next 5 ingredients). Combine soup and milk in 13x9 inch baking dish lightly coated with nonstick cooking spray.

2. Separate crescent dough into 4 rectangles; roll out to 8x4 inches. Cut to from 8 (4in) squares.

3. Spoon about 1/4 cup beef mixture into center of each square. Pull corners of dough over filling; pinch firmly to seal. Place in prepared dish. Bake 20-25 mins or until golden brown. Sprinkle cheese over squares; melt in oven. Serve with cilantro and salsa, if desired.
Makes about 4 servings.

****edit**** The soup goes into the bottom of the pan that you are baking it in. Some get absorbed and the rest thickens up some.

This has been my favorite so far. I dont think I put enough beef mixture in them though because I had alot left over. I sprinkled it on top before I put it in the oven. This is supper good and I will try to get the picture up here in the next day or so.

Ok Here we go....

  • We have been busy and its been a while....
  • First of all football has started :)
  • The oldest one has had one game and they lost :(
  • The next 2 have had 2 games and they have won them both :)
  • They all have played really well. I am a proud football momma!
  • Then there is one more playing soccer. He had his first game on sat. They won :) He didnt really play much. He was kinda just standing on the field taking up space. About five minutes before the game he said he was bored and wanted to go home.

  • We had company this weekend. It was fun.
  • I drank way too much.
  • Egg is not fun to clean up. (this is part of the drinking to much)
  • I shouldnt spout out ideas that I dont really want to do. It almost got me into trouble.
  • It is good to have friends that can make fun of you and not actually hurt your feelings. :)

  • I found this really great book that has a bunch of recipes for ground beef.
  • We eat alot of ground beef so this book was a great find and one that I just happened by. :)
  • We have tried about 4 of them so far and 3 have been great and one was just ok but I think that I may have messed up with the amount of something so it didnt turn out quite right. I will try again.
  • This book is great because it all is pretty east stuff to do and there is a picture of everything in it with the recipe on the back.
  • I am going to try to put up some of my favorites very soon!

Sigh...

My computer got a nasty virus. :( Yuck. I am so used to having it that I am not sure what to do without it. I am going crazy. I even started a list of stuff to post on here. When it gets fixed we'll see how much I actually post.

Just bitching....

I managed to piss of my MiL and my husband yesterday. It is carring over to today and started the day off bad. Our oldest son asked my MiL for a pair of shorts that she had at her house and I got on to him about it(well grounded him, had he not been watching tv he would have been ungrounded before we went to football practice). The main reason is he shouldnt be asking someone else (I dont care who) for something he needs for school before he even tells us that he needs it. (they are for athletics, he has some at home but wanted a certain pair). When they are grounded they can not go to my MiL cause she doesnt deal with it. (not because she is being mean just because she doesnt want to. she likes to spoil her grandkids and give them whatever they want) It has now become a big deal, even though he has the shorts (the hubby brought them home for him) and is was wearing them this morning. Just let it go its a Freaking Pair of Shorts. Its not worth a fight.

Of course there is more to this story but do I really need to list the all the things that piss me off about it.

School....

  • The kids went back to school yesterday. :) :( *I am happy and sad at the same time*

  • I had one start Kindergarten. I cried big tears when I got home, and told everyone I talked to I was fine.

  • He did really really well and was ready. I had a hard time getting him to talk to me enough to even tell me bye.

  • When I picked him up he was excited to tell me all about the gingerbread man that ran away when they left the classroom. They looked all over the school for him. Someone caught him and they baked him. He got to eat the whole mouth and it was two colors not just one.

  • The teacher made my day. She said he did really well and he was very good and very polite.

  • The 5th graders were dropped off in the morning at the curb.

  • When I picked them up I didnt pull all the way up because I was 20 mins early and wanted to park in the shade. A bunch of people honked at me but there was plenty of room for them to go around and pull up there. It is hot and didnt want to sit in the sun. I had to wait and extra 5 mins because one of them was busy talking to his friend.

  • I got the "Fine." and "Good." one word answers to the How was your day question.

  • I never did get much more than that from them.

  • Now the 7th grader (OMG he is in the 7th grade!) Well he wouldnt shut up when he go into the car. Drove me crazy telling me about all the stuff that happen yesterday, including a schedule change because they didnt put him in his preAP science.

**I will try to get a pic up here later of them one the first day of school but my camera is having problems. :(

SPORTS

FootBall-
  • My kids coach from last year asked me if they were going to play. Made sure I knew that they had to be signed up and wanted to be sure I knew to put the head coach on the sign up.
  • They ended up on someone elses team. I was somewhat surprised. He (the new coach) coached my oldest son last year. I like him. I am not sure how I felt though because I really really liked the other guy.
  • I the old coach yesterday and asked him what happen. He said they were one of the first to go in the draft for their grade. It didnt help him that he and his assistant coaches all have kids in their grade so he had to sit out the first 4 or 5 rounds for that grade.
  • The boys missed a few practices when they stayed with my Dad. I was worried but they jumped right back in there and are doing ok.
  • One of their teammates broke his arm on Saturdays practice. :( Poor kid. I wonder if his parents are going to get their money back ? We havent played one game.
  • I am really excited to see how the team does this year.

MS Football-

  • My oldest son is going ot be playing football for the school now. Damn he is getting older.
  • We got his pads last night. Well they gave them to him and he put them in his locker. I didnt even get to check them :( Whats a Mom to do?
  • This is the first year that he hasnt been in a BYA sport. A few of the moms wanted to know if a woman needed to organize it to make it go faster. :) That is so true. When the moms were doing it, it never took that long.
  • He is going to have early practice before school. Damn I have to get up earlier. Sigh.
  • I cant wait to see his games though.

Soccer-

  • I only have one playing soccer this year.
  • I havent heard from his coach yet.
  • I think he is going to be in the next age group this year. I am supper excited about it :)
  • So is he.
  • The youngest one didnt want to play this year. Surprise. Surprise. He never wanted to play in the game last year. Maybe he will grow out of it, or into another sport.

Thats all I got for now. We have one more meet the teacher to night then I will tell you all about them. I am not ready for it. Sigh.

OK For Real now...

  • I havent been too busy, just not in the mood to blog lately.
  • We did get one of those blue pools. Its great. The kids love it. Hell I love it. Its really nice just to be able to get in and cool off a little.
  • We went school clothes shopping a few weeks ago. I am glad because now I dont have to fight the crowds and there was more to choose from. Last year waited for the tax free weekend. It was a mess and I couldnt find anything.
  • I bought all of my younger sons' (?) clothes from JCPenny's. I love that place at school time. They have great sells and their kids clothes are super cute.
  • The older 3 boys and I went to the mall to go shopping. Sigh. It took forever. They are not quite big enough to go to the specialty/named stores. So we went to every department store there. Man I remember finding alot of stuff at sears last year but man that store looked really run down and didnt have hardly any clothes.
  • I didnt buy all the school supplies until this week and of course there are some things that we cant find. My opinion about this is o' F'in well. I think the list is....well...BULL SHIT.
  • Why are we asked to supply the teachers supplies? What I mean by this is the 10 red pens, the dry erase markers, the card stock, rolls of tape for their tape dispensers, ect..
  • If 20 students bring 10 red pens that is 200 red pens. They are only in school for 169 days. Really teachers need more than one red pen a day? I know they need them for grading but damn thats alot.
  • The school should be providing the teachers with teaching supplies. I dont mind supplying all the scissors and glue or even the 3 packs of 24 and the 3 packs of 8 crayons. I know they will us them and go through them. I draw the line at rolls of tape. I am not doing it!
  • My kids were gone for 5 days. Well they left on a Thursday and came home the next Tuesday. They stayed with my Dad and Step Mom.
  • It was PEACEFUL! The house stayed clean. I got to have a date with the hubby. We went out with friends. I got to sleep in without having to be woke up a million and one times. It was really really nice......for the first few days.
  • By Sunday we missed the kids. I needed some little guy kisses and hugs. It made it so much worse that the hubby wouldnt shut up about it and was in a bad mood. He wanted me to pick them up early. Ok so I wanted to, too but I wasnt having any of it because I knew they had plans.
  • They got to go do some things that I had planned to take them to but found out later that it would be to expensive. I was really sad that I missed it but glad they go to do it.
  • On the too expensive note we are saving for a trip to disney world next year. We havent told the kids about it yet because I have looked up the prices and man they are high. For the seven of us to go we are looking at around $8000. This is hard for me to swallow, because I know there are alot of things we could do with that much money.
  • We are looking for cheaper means of going.
  • I am already thinking about Christmas. We have a large family and I would like to be done shopping except for the kids big presents before November. I know this sounds crazy, but life will be easier and less stressful for me.

Update

Ok this is an update because I am told that I need to up date this.

Is that a good enough update for you Michele?

We went to Las Vegas!

  • We went 4th of July weekend. The World Series of Porker was starting.
  • I cant believe how many players were there for it, but then again I couldnt stand to lose $10,000 in one day.
  • We saw a few of the big pros there.
  • Man the room where they were play was crazy. You could hear people talking outside but when you walked in everyone seemed to be much quieter. The only sound you heard were chips clicking together. It was neat.
  • We had a great time, but we missed the fireworks on the 4th and I really missed my kids.
  • We lost way too much money :(
  • My favorite part was Down Town. It has all the old casinos. Its not nearly as flashy as the strip though.
  • Most of the women are fully clothed, too!
  • The whole street has a theme. It was back to the 70's.
  • There is a screen over the street that is great shade during the day and at night they have a light show on it.
  • Everything is cheaper Downtown, food, souvenirs, and even the gambling.
  • The strip is cool too. It is flashy and most of the casinos have something special to see.
  • I would have liked to see more of them but it was so damn hot! The heat wore me out, not to mention the hotels/casinos were like a mile long each.
  • We didnt see any shows while we were there. I wish we would have gone to see at least one while we were there.
  • The only other thing I really wanted to see but didnt was the aquarium in one of the casinos.

Pool

You know those little blue pools that have the ring around the top that you blow up and you just put water in and it raises the sides. We have a small one. I think the smallest one that is made (8' x 30"). I paid $20 for it a year or 2 ago. We never used. I decided to get it out this summer and the kids love it. It is the perfect size for just the 2 little ones but when all 5 boys get in it, its a way to crowded. It also doesnt have a pump so we keep having to empty it and refill it so they dont get to play in it as often as they want to.

We are thinking of getting a slightly bigger one. One that is only a few inches deeper but several feet wider. I have always said that these look so ugly and I didnt want one but they are the perfect depth for the kids to play in. The little ones can touch and the older ones can swim (in the bigger one).

Long Time...

  • Kids are great. We are great. I am happy! :)
  • We havent really done a whole lot lately, but I seem to be busy busy busy.
  • The kids taught me a new card game. Golf.
  • I want to teach them Spades, but I think only one will have understand enough to enjoy it.
  • I grew up playing card and board games with the family, my children not so much. They play alot of video games.
  • I cant seem to get them interested in much other than video games and sports outside, but I suck at those. :(
  • We went to see the new Ice Age movie. I love kid movies, but I really love funny kid movies. That damn squirrel that chases the nut is back. It wouldnt be Ice Age without him though.
  • It was the first time we have taken the little ones to the theater. They were really excited. They got to pick there own candy and share a drink. So we ended up with Twisslers, Skittles, Starburst, Gummy worms, and a pickle. We went early to make sure to get them all seated and quit before the movie started so naturally all the candy was gone before the movie started. Man those little ones can put away some pop corn. We let them it was their first time :) I think I enjoyed watching them and talking to them about the movie as much the movie itself.

Party

  • We had a bunch of people come down last weekend. It was alot of fun.
  • I drank way to much.
  • So did everyone else!
  • I was to told that I was cock blocking someone. I hadnt heard that in a while.
  • The man who told me that is someone I have never seen even talk to a girl with interest in more than friendship. It was weird.
  • The girl he had his eyes on hasnt dated anyone since her break up almost a year ago. She wasnt ready for what he wanted but she was interested. Too bad he passed out!
  • I never get head aches when I have a hang over. I am just sleepy and grumpy. Well I am still sleepy and cant seem to get my body to do much.
  • I had planned on taking a bunch of pictures this weekend. I managed to get about 8 pictures taken. I fail.
  • My little ones were only gone for one night. I missed them though. I love hugs and kisses good night/morning. I dont know what I am going to do when we go to Vegas for 4 days.

I feel like..

I fell off the face of the Earth! My home phone has been messed up. It was busy for several days before I noticed it. Everyone had been trying to call but couldn't get through. I talk to the tech support online. I hate the phone company! I finally got someone out here to look at it. I have to have the damn thing rewired from the box to the phone jacks. The good news is that its no longer busy. I have line guard on my phone which means they are supposed to fix it. Well they want me to pay for it...I am really not happy about it. What is the point of paying the extra 2-3 dollars if they wont fix the damn thing? If they wont come and fix it I am going to be asking for my money back every month that I have paid to have that damn service on my phone. Boo for Embarq!

Its over...

All sports are now over. I am truly grateful. I love to watch all my children play and do well but man I am tired. Here's how it ended.
Older soccer team
  • The first game the oldest breaks his arm.
  • No one ever seems to know that they were supposed to bring drinks. (Not even received their drink schedule.)
  • Everything seems to get out of whack because of weather and the swine flu. Took a while for me to figure out if I was coming or going.
  • Undefeated Regular Season.
  • The oldest gets cast off and can play the play off games. (I think he wont play much because he hasnt been practicing and he hasnt played any of the games. The hubby says he better because he hasnt play cause he broke his arm play for the team. I would agree if he would have gone to all the practices and stayed with the team at all the games and worn his team jersey. But he didnt sometime other things (like tv and video games) were more important.
  • Won the first game of the play offs.-Great game! (this was the team that broke my sons arm). The oldest one played more than the younger one on the team. Both teams played there heart out. One poor girl kept getting hands called on her and she wasnt even trying to touch it, it just happen.
  • Lost the Championship. :( This was a great game too! I didnt like the ref though. He missed a lot of calls. The team lost very gracefully for children who hadnt lost all season.

The young ones soccer team:

  • Sigh. What can I say but I was really disappointed.
  • There were not many practices. We had more games than practices.
  • Most of the games were canceled.
  • The little one do not play make up games. This was the case until parents complained.
  • Had we not played some make up games we would have only played 3 games total.
  • The games that we did make up kept changing. I was never sure we were going to play or not. They scheduled a game the morning of one of the games. Not much time for parents to plan.
  • They last game it seemed like the kids had more fun than the rest of the year.
  • The last game is also the only game that the youngest one played the whole game. All it took was for Grandma to bribe him.

The baseball team:

  • The season was good.
  • The coaches were great. I think that they were the best coaches that have coached any of my children. (um Tim ranks in with them)
  • The head coach coached even though his son never played a game due to a broken arm in one of the first practices. He made the calls and was at every game even though his other son had games at the same time other places. Very stand up man. They all were. They were positive and encouraging. They played all the children even though some were better than others. They even made sure that all the children on the team were able to play in field at least once.
  • They won some they lost some.
  • They made it to the play offs. They were the last team in and had to wait till all games were played to know for sure if they would make it.
  • They played the last game great but the other team was better and won 6-1. They were the first place team in the other division.
  • I am not sure how they do the divisions for baseball here. I know that there are 2. I know that the play offs are between the two. 1st place division A plays 4th place division B. And 2nd place division A plays 3rd place division B. and vice verse.
  • The boys took the lose of the first play off game better than the lose of the last regular season game. I assume that its because they thought they werent going to get to go to the play offs.

Sigh. Did I mention that I am glad that all this is over?

Been busy and not so busy...

  • Trying to get all the end of school stuff done.
  • My oldest son had to make a scrap book. He has known about it since Christmas. They started working on it the last 3 weeks or so. It started ok but I dont think he understands that its not just a bunch of pictures thrown on some different colored paper. It could have and should have looked better.
  • Trying to reschedule all the games we missed for bad weather and the swine flu is a pain in the butt.
  • The little ones soccer team hasnt really done much this season. It seems that games keep getting canceled and practices never seem to happen. We had a game tonight. That made the 4th game of the season and we have maybe had 5 practices.
  • That is frustrating to explain to my little ones when they see their older brothers playing so much. Some parents are really unhappy about it. The dont usually reschedule the games for that age group but they also dont usually miss that many. :(
  • The oldest soccer team is in the play offs. They have done really well. The one that broke his arm in the first 5 mins of the first game is going to get to play in the 2 play off games.(not in the goal though) I hope he does well.
  • We had a baseball game Friday. They won. It was good for them. It game them some steam and confidence.
  • We had another one tonight. We were winning. They postponed the game for 30 mins with 4 mins left in the game. Then they started again and then canceled it before it was over. We may have to go back and play the last 3 mins of the game. Not sure though because I thought that the rule was if they are past the 3rd inning that the game is called a full game. I hope so.
  • We have 2 games on Thursday. Soccer at 5:30 and baseball at 7:30. We dont need to be early for the soccer game but the baseball we do. Sigh. Guess we arent having dinner that night.
  • Looking at my schedule the next few days gives me stress head. I am not sure I can do it all and be at all the places that I want to be. I also would rather do all those things without my youngest 2 but the MIL is going to be with me so I dont have a babysitter but she can help keep and eye on them.
  • The kids want to do alot of stuff this summer. I am trying to get it all put together. So that I will be able to keep up with them all.
  • One of them has decided that he doesnt want to go to his other parents house as much. He has been asking me for about 2 or 3 months now. It is weird because he has always wanted to go before then. I am not sure if something has happened or if he is just getting older and wants to stay at home.
  • He will be talking to them this weekend to see if he has to go this summer for all the weekends and if he has to spend a few weeks there. I am only thinking about this so much because I know that I am going to get the blame for it. The only thing I have told him is he is always welcome to be at home as far as I am concerned.
  • 2 of my children have always been given the choice of where they wanted to spend the weekend. I have always thought that was a bad idea because they were too young (since they were 3 and 5). I think that they are getting old enough to make the decision every once in a while. Not all the time. I think they should know their parents. All of them!
  • My hubby is working extremely late this morning. That means he will be home in the morning. He has more of these late nights since he started working for a different superintendent than he did before. I dont like it :(
  • Sigh. Good Night!

New Story...

Ok so I wrote a note to the teacher and she called this morning after talking to the little one.

  • They were playing on swings that they were not supposed to be on because there was water under them.
  • He wasnt just a little wet. His whole head was wet and the top half of his shirt. (I am sure from the dripping) His head was so wet that it was still dripping after sitting out for half of recess.
  • They were doing it intentionally. They had to be pushed really high so they could lean back that far.
  • They did it more than once.
  • His face looked like he had been mudding because he had so many splashes of mud all over it.
  • She also said had it not been so close to the end of the year she would have sent them all to the office.

I will be having a talk with him. He will be writing the sentences tonight and depending on what he has to say he may be grounded for the lie. :( I think grounding is more punishment for me. (well maybe not with him, he can entertain himself with out any TV or video games. Humm. Is thats really a punishment for him at all?)

A Bit Excessive....

Today when my kids were doing their homework one of my 4th graders brought me a paper where he had started writing sentences. He got in trouble at school today. He was playing on the swings and his friends were pushing him side to side while he was swinging (they were playing). He leaned back to move away from one of the boys and leaned back to far. His hair and the top of his shirt got wet. He had to sit out the last half of recess for it (there were others too). When he got in they were asked to sit out in the hall while their teachers (he has 2 teachers) decided what their punishment should be (uhh what was the last half of recess). Here is what they came up with. They need to write this sentence 25 times:

"I will choose to follow the rules during recess by staying out of the mud and water and not dragging my head through the puddles as I swing because I know my teachers, Mrs. Fry and Miss VanHoose, have asked me all year long to stay out of the water."

  • First off that sentences was typed for them on a piece of paper and it was 6 lines long. That means he missed half of recess and was to write 150 lines for getting his hair and shirt a little wet. (I cant see any water spots or mud spots on his shirt and its bright yellow so they would show up)
  • Its really long and has a bunch of by, and, becauses in it. If he would have written this sentence for one of his practice Taks writing papers they would have asked him to break it up into more than one sentence.
  • He has not been in any trouble at school before not even one note. He gets straight A's and E or S for conduct. The only thing that I have had that tells me he is any problem or ever even gets called down is a comment on his report card saying he talk frequently. (Not enough for them to drop his conduct grade though) This is also followed by he is a great student.
  • I am all for punishing my children when it is needed and I will punish them at home if they get in trouble at school but I find this to be too much. I told him that until I talk with his teachers that he didn't need to write the sentences.

I've got the blah's...

  • The kids are back at school!
  • My MIL won a seat to World Series Poker Tour.
  • The hubby booked a trip to Vegas. I am excited and worried at the same time.
  • The kids are back at school!
  • Last Friday we had a great baseball game. The little one got the last out:( but he played really well. He is getting better :) This was the kind of game that just came together and was fun to watch.
  • Then on Saturday morning we had an awesome soccer game. They had to work for every point and it was a close game the entire game. By far the best game I have watched this year.
  • After I went to a Bday party that I had forgotten about. It was fun and I enjoyed myself.
  • I have no idea when I am going to have my own kids Bday parties. One was at the end of last month and the other coming soon. We always have one party for both of them. We have been extremely busy and so much going on we havent had a weekend to have one:( My poor kids.
  • Mothers Day was ok. I got to stay in bed till noon. I was awake by 10 just didnt get out of bed. It was a nice lazy day!
  • My dog is barking up a storm right now. That is very usual for him. I wonder if someone/thing is out there. I am not checking cause I am the only one up.
  • My son didnt feel like getting all the trash cans from the street last week when he was supposed to. When the one he did bring up was full he just put the trash bags on the ground. There is trash everywhere now. He has to pick it by himself. He is unhappy and wants his brothers to help. They arent going to. (They switch chores every week.)
  • I have added one for one of the little ones. He has to make sure all the clothes stay out of the bathroom floor after bath time. Sometimes he is excited sometimes not so much.
  • I had a little one with an inner ear infection. Poor thing. Ear aches are the worse. He cried all night one night.
  • Thats all I got for now.

Its been a while

  • Ok so either I have been really busy or really lazy...you guess which one.
  • I cant believe all this stuff about the swine flu.
  • They have cancelled all of our youth sports until after May 11th.
  • They will give a new schedule out sometime after.
  • They cant even have practice.
  • They haven't closed our school..yet. Someone told me today they wished they would.
  • I am not worried about the swine flu too much. I wont be unless my children get sick.
  • My son turned 5 yesterday. :( Big Mommy tears. He is super excited though.
  • After getting his presents (and he was happy with them) he turns and ask where the rest of the stuff on his list was. I had to make myself not laugh because he wasn't being ungrateful he just thought he got every thing he ask for.(And he was so damn cute when he ask) After I explained that he only gets some stuff on the list and that other family would bring him some of the stuff but not all of it he went right back to playing happy as could be.
  • He also got to remove his booster chair from the car.
  • This morning he sat in the middle between 2 of his big brothers. Huge smile and talking about it the whole way. I am not going to be ready for him to start school next year.
  • I have been super happy lately but really stressed.
  • I have more to say but I will save it for later!

Pissed off

OK Driving home from picking the kids up we had to wait for a funeral to pass by. Both lanes of traffic stopped a good 5-7 cars deep.
  1. An older lady in a truck slams into the car next to me.
  2. The lady driving the car is half way out of the car screaming before she realizes she didnt put the car in park.
  3. She put the car in park and starts yelling at the old lady "There's a fucking baby in this car!" Her daughter then tells her to move so she could get her daughter out of the car. They baby was in a car seat properly and she is just fine and laughing.
  4. The old lady is very sorry and a little shook up.
  5. They move the cars out of the road at the recommendation of the young mother. (She looked like she either she was in high school or just out of high school and they were in school traffic)
  6. The old lady is looking at her truck trying to see the damage because when she moved it it made a rubbing noise. The lady that she hit is now yelling at her again about how her truck is fine but she just totaled her car. Now I am no expert but usually rear ending someone doesnt total their car. She is pissed off and yelling and cussing.
  7. Thank goodness the old lady got back in her truck and waited there.
  8. While waiting on the police to get there the lady that got hit is on the phone telling someone she was just in a MAJOR accident. (Sigh)

The truck didnt have much damage that you could see but something was definitely rubbing against the tire when she moved it.

The cars bumper was cracked and pushed up. The plastic bumper was also very close to the tire but I dont think touching it. Of course it could have messed up the frame but you cant really see that.

I know that it messed up her car but the old lady was in the accident as too. She didnt mean to hit her car and she didnt know there was a baby in the car and decide to hit it. There is no way she should have been talking to her like that. When I say old lady she was probably in her 70s or close too. The lady she hit was in probably in her 40s. I wanted to hit that lady.

Not To Bad...

This weekend wasn't so bad.
  • Of course Friday stuff was canceled.
  • Saturdays games were also canceled.
  • That only left a Bday party. It was fun but I left the presents at home. They are still here :(
  • We cleaned my bedroom this weekend. It included the closet.
  • I also did the littlest ones room.
  • I threw out a bunch of stuff. I felt bad for the trash man. They picked it all up though. They will have a surprise on Friday!
  • We threw out a chair, a side table bottom and the glass for a coffee table, and the head and foot boards of a set of bunk beds. They all were picked up before the end of the day.
  • Sunday we had a soccer game. They won. :)
  • Monday we went to the doctor. They checked out the kido's broken arm.
  • He got in a little trouble for being to active. It looked good though. The bone is growing over the break. We thought he was going to be able to play the last few games but the doc said even after he gets the cast off he needs to take it easy and that doesn't include soccer for about 4-6 weeks.
  • We had a baseball game last night. It didn't go as well. We lost 6-1. There was drama. There seems to be drama all the time with on coach. He is not from our team though. He sometimes butts in even when no one ask. He isnt a bad guy as far as I can tell though. I just dont always agree with him.
  • One of the kido's is having problems at school. If he get into trouble today I am going to have to go to school with him. Not looking forward to it.

Meanings of words...

As I have gotten older the meanings of words have changed. As I hear my sweet little ones run around and scream them I have to try really really hard not to laugh and tell them to stop saying them.

Kid 1: Who wants a shocker?
Kid 2: Give him the shocker!
Kid 3: I got the shocker now. Ha ha.

Now they are really talking about shocking each other with a fake teaser. (I didnt get it for them and I dont think that is what it really is but hey they have great imaginations)

I cant think of what he said but the other day another one of my children wanted to help me with dinner and as he was asking he was saying he wanted to do what ever it was with me. To me it had a sexual reference but to him none at all. I made him quit asking it.

Am I the only one who now automatically thinks of the perverted version of the word even when it is so innocent?

  • Man this weekend was really busy.
  • I had alot of fun though.
  • I got sun burned this weekend :(
  • We played kick ball after Easter Egg Hunting and lunch. It was alot of fun.
  • We also went to the park to hunt more eggs on Sunday. It was after the rain and there was only one water puddle, of course my youngest fell in it. I was mad, not at him but that it happen.
  • We have way to much candy now.
  • I am tired of the weather. I either want to put up the winter cloths or wear them damn it. Having 5 kids and 2 sets of cloths for each of them = no room. sigh.
  • I have something going every day but Sunday for the kids. Sports/School wise.
  • My baby(not really the baby) will be 10 on Sat. I am not dealing with this well. I think its because the oldest one is beginning to act older. He has grown mentally alot since Christmas.
  • Why is it big news that the Obamas got a dog? Yea it came from wise county. People get dogs every minute of every day. I dont understand the why it is such big news and that it needs to be an exclusive.

Happy Easter!

Have a very Hoppy Easter!

Friday, April 10, 2009

Oh man this week has been rough.

  • My oldest broke his arm on Saturday. So that means I have to continually tell him to stop jumping around and horse playing.
  • His cast was split for swelling but the more he move around the more it split open. He was home all week. (except today!).
  • We had to go to the doctor yesterday. In Fort Worth. The appointment was at 1:30. We went back around 2:45.
  • The doctor was really great though and once we went back it didn't take long at all.
  • His cast is now bright yellow. It looks like the safety vest of the men working on the side of the highway.
  • I got to drive home in traffic ughhh :(
  • Between games, practices, tutorials, and UIL stuff I am getting really worn out.
  • We had a baseball game Tuesday. They lost but it wasn't too bad. We have another on tonight. It should be better. They practiced batting last night. I think more of them will swing tonight. They all hit more than they missed.
  • This weekend is BUSY. We start with a game(baseball) tonight. Then 2 more games(soccer) in the morning. Then we are having Easter with my family after. That's always fun! Finally on Sunday we are going to have Easter again with my hubby's family.
  • Looks like there wont be any rest this weekend either...sigh.
  • I love hanging out with my family. We have a few drinks, talk and watch the kids play. Ok OK we play more than they do. I think we are having a game of kick ball this Easter.
  • I think its nap time now.

Do you know what the sun is?

My 4 year old does!

Its a flash light. A giant has it and it has one of those white things he saw me put in his big brothers room. He is going to see for sure if a giant has it one day because he is going to throw a rope around the flash light.

I just thought I would share this scientific discovery with all of you. It made me smile :)

Oh this weekend...

  • I am glad it is finally over. Who would have thought I would be happy I have to get kids and the hubby up and going?
  • The weekend started off pretty normal.
  • We went to the little carnival that Grace Fellowship had going on at the park.
  • Some lady made one of my kids go to the end of the line because he took 2 steps out to look up the line. I was mad and told him not to let people do that to him. (He didnt get to do the trampoline thing and he wouldnt have made it to the front of the line by the time his Dad picked him up) He was upset that he spent the whole time in that line and didnt even get to do it.
  • There were alot of people there. It was fun to take the kids. I let the 3 older ones wait in line for stuff while we did other stuff but they had to tell me where they were so I could check on them and know where they were at all times. I didnt want to leave the other 2 there with their mom. She would watch them but I still worry about them running off.
  • On Sat. morning I had to find a ride for one of the boys on the older boys soccer team. I would have done it myself if I didnt have other games to be at.
  • We rushed around and got ready, dropped some money off for baseball pictures, picked the little boy up and went to the youngest soccer game. It was fun and they were cute.
  • When it was almost over I went and watched some baseball. They did really well and have another game on Tue. I cant wait.
  • This is where things go bad.
  • I get to the Decatur soccer field and finally find a place to park. My mom is helping me with the kids and she gets a phone call.
  • My oldest son is hurt. There are plenty of people there to help. Mom, Dad, grandparents, aunts, and cousins.
  • I could tell his arm was broke when I got up there. You know when you lay you arm on the table its straight? Well his had a dip in it.
  • There was a paramedic there. She didnt do anything for him.
  • He was playing goalie and when a boy made a shot he jumped up and stopped the ball (hands full above his head). When the ball hit his hand it was kicked so hard that it broke both bones about an inch below his wrist.
  • The mother of the little boy that kicked the ball was very upset about it. She felt really bad. It wasnt her fault. I am glad she cared though.
  • We ended up with a blanket that wasnt ours.
  • We went to Decatur Hospital. They transferred him to Cooks because they didnt have anyone there that could set his arm.
  • At Cooks they put him to sleep to set it. It didnt take long.
  • When he was in recovery I was worried. He would look at us and asked what happen. He didnt remember breaking his arm. Then tell us he loved us and that the was tired. He closed his eyes for less than a min and opened them again only to not know anything he had just said or talked about. They said it was normal.
  • When we got home we had dinner and we all went to bed early. I was exhausted. It was 9:15.

Oh yeah while we were at the hospital my hubby told our son that something good came out of it. He didnt have to play his baritone for a while(this is before any pain medicine). This only upset more because he has a field trip on Thursday. We calmed him down and said he would still be able to go. It turns out he cant, thats when his check up is going to be:(

Sgt. Randy White

  • I cant help but cry for the loss of Sgt. Randy White and for his family.

  • He was only 32 and left behind a wife and 5 year old daughter.

  • Its been a long time since I the last time I prayed. I did last night.

  • This effected my husband in a way that I never imagined.

  • Me to. To grieve for someone I dont know personally.

  • I have a great deal of respect for our officers and feel that they do a great service for our community. I cant believe this happened.

  • I hope the capital muder charge sticks and ends with the max punishment.

Bridgeport Officer killed

BREAKING NEWS - CAR CHASE LEADS TO OFFICER'S DEATH - Bridgeport Police Sgt. Randy White was killed when Stephen York of Bridgeport crashed a stolen Suburban into White's police car Thursday afternoon on Texas 114 at Farm Road 2123 in Bridgeport. York was transferred to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. White was parked in his police car on the west shoulder of Texas 114, clearing traffic for an oncoming police chase York was involved in when the accident occured.Prior to the crash, York had led officers on a chase that began about
2:30 p.m. on Hale Street in Decatur. He was driving a white pickup, and from
Hale Street, he drove southbound in northbound lanes of U.S. 287. Police lost him after he left the roadway near the Zimmerer Kubota dealership.Officers thought he crashed or fled on foot, and they searched for him in a nearby field before getting a call from a homeowner on FM 2264 who said a truck had just driven through her yard.At some point, York abandoned the white truck and stole a Suburban parked outside a home near Reunion Road. Officers resumed the chase in Decatur following York south on Farm Road 51. He went through Paradise and continued west on Texas 114 to Bridgeport. The accident happened about 45 minutes after the chase began. Texas 114 will be shut down until approximately 10 p.m. to recreate the accident scene. Wise County Sheriff David Walker said York was possibly involved in a hit-and-run accident near U.S. 380 west of U.S 287 minutes before the chase began.

I am very upset about this. I heard about it just shortly after it happen. It greatly saddens me. Please keep this family and other officers in your thoughts.

Last weekend...

  • I cant believe how cold it got Friday and Saturday.
  • All the soccer games were canceled. They told us Friday night. It was nice to know before we got up and got ready. I was a little disappointed though. It was their first games of the season and the first one ever for my littlest one.
  • Sports are in full swing again. Its not too bad because they all practice in the same general area. I say general because they do have to cross a road if they finish before the one I am watching.
  • I love that we I have known their coach for a while now and know if they do finish that he will walk the over for me. He is a good guy.
  • I wanted to go on vacation this year with the kids but I am not sure that we can afford it.
  • The oldest kido told me today that he was going to start saving so he could have a better car when he is 16. He will be 12 in August. They get around $100-200 a year between Christmas and Birthdays. I didnt have the heart to tell him that another 1000 wouldnt get him a much better car. I wish I could give my kids as nice of a car as I had when I was 16. I wont be able to but it wont junk either.
  • I cant believe how big my kids are getting. I have one that will be 10 and another 5 in April and the baby will be 4 in May. When I think about it I get big Mom tears. :(

Stuff...

  • My hubby forgot my Bday yesterday :(
  • I feel awful today. Sinuses are killing me.
  • My mom with the help of my step dad has created Birthday month instead of just a day. This only works for the women. I like it.
  • I was told twice I answered the phone wrong yesterday because I didn't answer with "It's my Birthday!"
  • While it may sound like a bit much it is all done in fun and the women in my family are very grateful for the things and life that they have.
  • Did I say how bad I feel?
  • The first soccer game is this weekend. Baseball is next week. I am excited.
  • We have been close to late all week. I cant seem to get going this week.
  • More than just my hubby forgot my Bday. Is it because I am getting older?
  • My cousin was very nice yesterday and pointed out that I am now in my Late 20s. I just want to remind her that she will always be older than me! Oh and I still get carded everywhere.

Tuesday, March 24, 2009

It's MY BIRTHDAY!

Thats all that needs to be said today....well unless you want to say Happy Birthday.

Spring Break

Ok so I didnt post at all last week, even when I said I would. I enjoyed the break :)

  • My SiL was in town for the first part of Spring Break (the Thursday before until Sunday evening).

  • We had dinner out the first night she was here. While one of our kids were at UIL. He was a little up set.

  • On Friday we missed soccer practice. Not because I wanted to but because I forgot. Instead we had dinner at the MIL's and played Monopoly. (I played this game alot last week)

  • On Saturday we went the Chuck e Cheeses. It was fun but very tiring. After we played a game at the MIL's. My SiL threw a fit worst than the kids do because she was losing. She quit. It was bad. I felt sorry for her hubby. I would never to mine like that (well at least not in front of everyone).

  • Sunday was long...We were supposed to go the Zoo at 10. Well we finally got there around 1. Once we got there it was really fun. The kids loved it. The little ones had never been when they could actually look and talk about the animals. The big kids just kinda took off with the hubby so didnt really get to talk to them about the animals.

  • The oldest told one of his brothers that he comes from a monkey because he is so hairy. I told him that they didnt have his relatives at the zoo because they didnt have donkeys. He knew I meant Jack ass.

  • Ok the rest of the week was not so busy.

  • The older boys all went to their other parents Monday and came home on Wednesday.
  • We played Monopoly with the boys Wed, Thurs, and Fri. and then they went back to their other parents for the weekend.

  • I had never seen the elephants play with all those stupid balls in there with them. That changed this time. It was really kinda cool to watch them play. One was playing with 3 different size balls, pushing and bouncing them everywhere.

  • Our dog scratched and bit our neighbor on Thursday. I felt really bad about it. I think he was trying to play with her. Otherwise he would have really hurt her because he is huge. He is a Saint Bernard. There was a scratch on her back from his paw and little marks from his mouth (but it didnt break the skin)

  • We built a pin for him to be in when there are people over and in the back yard. I think its 20' x 45'.
  • I also got rock put in the driveway. Well they call it base I think. When it gets wet and drys it is supposed to set up and be really hard. I am super happy about this! It looks alot better too.

  • The hubby also fixed the water faucet out front. Well put it back in. It leaked and his way of fixing it was to take it out so we havent had any outside water since.

  • I am really happy with the hubby right now. He worked hard this weekend and promised to finish some other stuff next weekend.(even bet his mom he would) This is unusual for my hubby. Getting him to do stuff is hard enough but to finish it is a miracle. He always has the best on intentions but he works hard all week and likes to take the weekends and his time off for himself and to rest so alot gets half done and either I do it the best I can or it just stays unfinished.

  • The kids were late to school on the first day back. (the alarm wasnt set right) :(

  • One of them didnt do their homework even though I reminded him about it at least 4-5 times. I am not happy about it. The only reason he had homework is because he missed 3 days because he was doing stuff with the school (fun stuff). I am almost certain he was supposed to have it turned in on Friday but didnt do it.

**edit: Sigh. I worked really hard ot make this look good in the preview only to see that it didnt work because the preview area is wider than on my blog. Sigh. I dont really want to mess with it any more right now. So its staying like that.

Been TOO Busy...

to post and right now I am too damn tired. I went to check e cheese and the zoo this weekend. We also hung out at the in-laws because SIL was in town. Tell ya all about it next post...tomorrow.

I've been thinking...

about the Death Penalty.

  • Who do we give the death penalty to? Those that it would be unsafe to release back into society?
  • Why does one get a life without parole instead of death?
  • What criteria do we use to decide if one is unsafe and can not be rehabilitated?
  • Which is cheaper life without parole or death?
  • It seems that the death penalty was handed down more in the past than it is now. It seemed simpler(??) then, than it is now.
  • If you did an unthinkable crime you received death. Now I guess that not that much is unthinkable. We can see people killing other people and we can see people raping children and taking someones lively hood in the past they couldn't see someone doing those things.
  • Now it seems it requires multiple murders, usually planned, to receive the death penalty.
  • What about the others? Why was it so simple before and not now? When was the drastic change?

All that being said, I am not sure how I feel about the death penalty. Can I put someone to death? Can I say that someone deserves to die? I am not sure I could but at the same time I feel like if they had done something to my children or my family that maybe I might be able to but I dont know that I could live with myself if I did.

All this is in my head now because I read the story from LLFTLDQ on the inmate who was executed on his birthday. He killed someone when he was 20, 18 years ago. He was trying to burglarise a home and a man was shot and killed. (it doesnt say if he pulled the trigger. and when did that start to matter?) If that happened now days this man would only receive some time in prison.

This weekend....

  • We didnt do much but stay home.
  • We played Monopoly with the 2 of the kids (one wasnt home). It was funner than I thought it would be.
  • We have the electronic version.
  • Before we had gotten that one I had never finished a game of Monopoly. I have now finished 3, maybe 4.
  • The youngest one playing won. I thought that I would be the first to go out but I wasnt.
  • My hubby did something really embarrassing this weekend. So embarrassing that I say what he did.
  • He is really pissing me off right now so I might tell anyway.....

Taks.....

My son is still at school taking the TAKS test.

  • At 2:20 today he had not even started writing.
  • Why didnt they check his progress before then?
  • When I found out I was so mad I had to calm myself down.
  • I went back up there to see if I could talk to him.
  • He had 3 paragraphs written by then. (They told him they were going to call me.)
  • I waited forever to talk to him for like 20 seconds.
  • I told him he better get his butt busy and write. It is not acceptable for him to sit and do nothing.
  • I feel really bad for the teachers and principle that have to stay there all night while they still do their test.
  • It would be one thing if they had worked hard all day but I know most (like my son) have sat and done nothing.
  • One girls sister was really mad they didnt let her (the kid) get on the bus.
  • Calling to see if I need to bring dinner soon.

***Edit*** He finished around 6:00! His teacher said after I left that he didnt stop writing the whole time. (I really didnt get on to him cause the principle was standing there when I talked to him)

Uggg

Something is wrong...

  • I keep getting these really bad head aches on the left side of my head.
  • My left eye keeps bothering me. I had it checked and it is inflamed.
  • I keep clenching my jaw. It just makes it worst. I have to really think about not doing it.
  • Any time I do something that put pressure on the left side of my head it really hurts and sucks since I like to sleep on my left side:(

I am seriously thinking about going to see the doc.

Grocery Shopping....

I hate it. I cant wait for the new Brookshire to get here.

I always shopped at Diamonds before it caught fire but there were many things I didn't like about it but didn't shop IGA because I could never find anything (they changed the store around like 3 times when I first moved here).

  • The produce never fresh.
  • The food always seemed to have dust on it, even if you knew they just put it out.
  • The service sucked.
  • People ate at the check out and then licked their fingers clean before they checked you out. Yuck. I always waited in line before I would go to them.
  • The sackers needed to be trained. I am pretty much a whatever type person but man you just don't put cans with chips or bread. You don't put boxes on top of meat(really like my meat by itself), it pokes holes in the wrap. And when I ask where my bread is I don't expect to here I didn't know you had bread and then find it in the bottom of the basket.

It caught fire and I had to go to IGA. I liked it at first.

  • The produce was fresh and looked yummy! My kids liked this because I always seemed to keep fruit in the house.
  • Most of the time all checkouts were open.
  • The sackers seemed to be trained.
  • The store was a lot cleaner.
  • And the people more friendly.
  • All of this sorta changed after a while. The sackers and checkers started to slack a little and were playing around. The store wasn't as clean and they didn't seem to have the produce they had when I first started shopping there, but most of this is understandable. They all of a sudden had the business of Diamonds. It was never bad just slacking compared to a few months before. They also hired some of the kids from Diamonds. I think that was a bad idea.

Diamonds reopens! I waited a few days to go.

  • The store is really clean.
  • The service is great.
  • The produce is fresh and looks great.
  • There is more room and the products look really good.
  • The prices are cheaper than IGA.
  • The checkouts are open and they are packed.
  • There are not any kids working at the store. I know kids need jobs but man this was really nice. It seems adults are better at service than kids.

Now just a few months later...

  • They have a bunch of kids in there that like to f*** off.
  • The produce doesn't look as good.
  • And they hired back the worst sacker I have ever seen!

Sigh. Did I mention that I can't wait for Brookshire!

How could I forget?

I had a Mom moment this weekend! My oldest son went to his first dance.

  • I was more excited than he was. There have been a few other dances this year but he has wanted to go to any.
  • There was no girl. Just wanted to go.
  • I asked if it would be too embarrassing if I came and took pictures. Don't worry I didn't.
  • Laid down the law...DON'T LEAVE and NO KISSING. I really did say this but didn't really think he would do them anyway.
  • He got ready, I gave him some money, and then dropped him off.
  • Then I tried really hard not to cry on the way home to sit and wait.
  • Picked him up. He was right on time.
  • I asked him all kinds of questions.
  • Did you have fun? yes
  • Did you dance? some
  • With any girls? NO
  • Well when did you dance then? At the end to the Macarena(sp?) and one other one.
  • Did you spend all your money? yeah.
  • What did you get? Pizza, Candy and a drink.
  • Then I got the whole I am tired of talking about this look and sigh. :(
  • The next day I ran into some adults that had chaperoned the dance. They said he was great. No one really danced except to the group songs. They also said all of his friends are about a foot taller than he is.

Post Secert..

I really like this one. It made me laugh.

Rotten Kids...

My dirty, rotten kids sure do make me smile. :)

I have other pics with all the kids in it but can you see the bottom of his pants? He has been coming in like that for the past few days. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. And that rotten one pulled the petals off my roses :(

I signed them all up for sports this weekend. I made them all pick one. I have done the multiple sports thing and it sucks.

  • Too many practices.
  • Have to pic which game you are going to when the over lap.
  • Practices too.
  • I don't want to teach my kids to commit to something they know they can not do.

My MIL wasn't to happy about that but with them each playing one sport I now have 3 soccer teams (my youngest 2 will be together) and 1 baseball team. I am excited though, just going to be really busy.

Valentines Day....

was not romantic, but I did enjoy it. I signed the kids up for sports (more on this later). Then the hubby used some equipment from work to level out the driveway. Thank you honey! The little ones really loved this because he let them have a ride. We will soon be getting a load of rock to finish up the drive. The neighbors walked down to see what was going on. I wanted to see a movie but the hubby put down a big fat No. He didn't want to. My Mom stopped by to drop off some stuff and to give the boys a hug. She is so sweet. She also brought chocolate for everyone.

I was going to make a phone call and noticed that the florist had been calling. I didn't order flowers, so I ask the hubby. He didn't order any. Well what could they want then? I called them back thinking I would just leave a message because it was already 6. Nope they were still there, got directions to the house and delivered a dozen roses. They are beautiful and smell so pretty. You can smell them as soon as you walk in the door. The card only reads "with love". Really you didn't send them? They were from my step father. He was out of town last week and was thinking of all his girls(Mom, sis, and me) so we all received flowers this year. Thanks Will. Love you too! That's it! A day with the kids and hubby with a visit from Mom and a nice surprise that evening. I wish every day could be so nice.

And theres More

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY - A homeowner east of Decatur came home to find two
suspects in the process of burglarizing his home around 1 p.m. Tuesday. Matt
Little and his brother, Mike, saw the suspects leaving the house with their arms
filled with guns. When the suspects saw the brothers, one fled on foot and
another jumped in a car. The one in the car attempted to escape, nearly running
over one of the brothers. The brothers shot at the car tires and the motor. The
other suspect ran across a field to a road where David Barksdale was fencing.
Barksdale had heard the commotion and had gotten his rifle from his truck. When
the suspect approached him, Barksdale pulled out his rifle and told him to wait
for police. The suspects, identified as Harrison Sanders, 55, and Charles Ray
Baker, 57, from Denton County, were arrested and charged with aggravated
robbery.

Man there has been a lot going on in this county the past week. There are a lot of guns in this story. First the robbers had their arms full of guns. To me that means at the very least 4 one for each hand but sounds like more than that. The brothers shot at the car(they could have killed them, I think the car was the better choice) so theres 2 more. Then there was a guy that just happen to be there with a rifle in his truck. Thats a lot of guns. Maybe just to me because we dont have any guns.

Its almost Valentines Day....

So I made a post and had to redo it. I was being to bitchy. I dont know what we are doing yet for Valentines Day. We are going to have all five of our kids. I would like to take them to see a movie. I usually get them a small box of candy and I get the hubby something too. Nothing big, something very practical and a big box of candy. I havent gotten any of this done yet.

Now I love my hubby but man he doesnt ever know what to get me for any present any time of the year. I am not all girlly and I never wear jewelry, so buying it for me is pointless. I would much rather have something I need or would use. Flowers are very pretty but they die so I can see that $50 going to something useful. My gifts from him are usually nothing or a day to go get it myself with friends and without the kids. I am happy with either.

I have to make 2 Valentine boxes tonight or tomorrow. I wish I knew they were having a party before the weekend. I picked out the kids cards on my own. They both wanted the same box so I split them in half and they each have a little of both. My little ones were very upset with me that they didnt get one.

These are my Kids!

Aren't they Beautiful?!?!

I took some individual ones of them but I figure putting that many pics in one post might kill some of shock.

Stuff

  • My Dad bday was last week and I forgot to call him. I thought about him all day too. I feel awful.
  • My kids want everything they see.
  • My neighbors dogs never stay in their yard. Our big dog in the back yard doesnt like one of them anymore. I am not sure what happen.
  • Our dog got out of the fence once. The kids were out side and came running to tell me. We looked for him for an hour and couldnt find him. I came home and called the dog catcher. She had already picked him up. Granted he is a large dog and while friendly some would be scared. Why is it that he can be out for less than an hour and she has been called and found him and picked him up but my neighbors dogs run all over the place and dig in everyones trash for months and they still have never been picked up? Oh they have dug a whole under my fence too. I am not happy about that.
  • Hubby got his new computer put together this weekend. He loves it.
  • I was supposed to get the van fixed today but I still didnt take it. I am tomorrow.I hope.

Oh My Goodness...

This weekend was a weekend for accidents. I feel very sorry for the families in our area that lost their children. I have a few thoughts on both of them but I am not so sure I should post them so I will tone it down a little as my heart truly aches for these families.

CHILD DEATH - A 15-year-old Aurora boy was found dead in a small field in
the Aurora Vista community just after 8 Saturday morning. Rowdy Robles' body was
found lying next to a fence on Aurora Vista Trail with a deep puncture wound.
The Wise County Sheriff's Department along with the Texas Rangers are
investigating the questionable death. Authorities say at least three children,
ages 13-17, had broken into vehicles close to where Robles was found just before
midnight. One of the children, the brother of the deceased, was caught by a
homeowner. Walker said at least two others escaped, and that charges will be
filed on everyone involved. The victim's body was sent to the Tarrant County
Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy. Funeral for Robles is 2 p.m. Wednesday
at Anderson-Clayton Funeral Home in Mesquite with burial in Roselawn Cemetery in
Seagoville. Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur is handling
arrangements.

I would like to know what the press release actually said. I read that stated more than what was reported at the time. So I am not sure this is all or if there is more. I am not sure what to think about this. If this were a grown man I wouldn't feel a bit bad for the man if this happen due to an escape from a crime(the family i would but not the man) but it is not this boy is still a child.

FATAL ACCIDENT - One child was killed and three others were injured Sunday
afternoon in a one-vehicle accident on Farm Road 2952 in Bridgeport.
Six-year-old Allison Hamner, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and
killed when the vehicle rolled on the northbound shoulder. Tiffany Renner, 33,
of Bridgeport was driving southbound on FM 2952 when she drifted onto the
shoulder. DPS troopers said she was on the shoulder of the road for at least 200
yards before getting the minivan back onto the road where she overcorrected and
rolled onto the northbound shoulder. Three other small children - Macie Hamner,
8, Madeline Hamner, 10, and Malory Owen, 9, all of Chico - were taken to Wise
Regional Health System with non life-threatening injuries. Renner was not hurt.
Funeral for Allison Hamner is pending at Hawkins Funeral Home in
Bridgeport.

This is extremely sad. I cant tell if the driver of the van was the mother of the children. I only have one problem with this. Why was she not buckled in? My children are always buckled up, even just to drive 2 blocks to Maw maw's house. They were even more snug today.

Hubby

I am mad at him sorta. He ordered parts for his new computer last night. I think he was sneaky about it. I was doing something and he says This is what I am ordering and names off a bunch of parts. Where I was sitting I couldnt really see what everything was nor how much each thing cost. He then tells me the total price for the computer. While its not over what we had discussed he has already bought a video card in December for this computer. He just purchased it early because his went out. So that adds about $500 to the price which is $500 over. I was says thats a lot what did you get and he tell me about everything but the most expensive part. I am saying all the other things are to high already. Then last night he tells me what he paid for a single part of the computer. It was way over priced because it is the best they have out right now and wont be in 2 months. I am really pissed about that. He knows I would never approve of that kind of price. Since he could get one that is almost just as new and will run just as well for several hundred dollars less.

With all this being said there is nothing really wrong with his computer, its just not the best that is out there any more. I am not really happy about this purchase. I am the kind that would rather save it or use if for something for the family. He on the other hand would spend every dime on what ever he wanted.

Stuff...

  • Sigh, I am not sure if its relief or from being just plain tired.
  • We received our Tax return already. We have already started spending it.
  • The kids still love their new beds.
  • I hate making them. Its so damn hard to make the top bunk because of the side rails.
  • I am on a cleaning mission today. The kids are going to hate it.
  • I am taking my van to the shop tomorrow. I get a rental but it just not the same as having your own.
  • I am making new recipes every night this week. We are tired of the same ol thing.
  • I am even cooking with onions! (I hate onions.)
  • Everyone seemed to like last nights dinner. It was kinda spaghetti but different. It had corn and a few other things in it, as well as different noodles. I was excited because it was something new.
  • I double the recipe last night because it said it was only 5 servings and there are 7 of us. I shouldnt have. It was way to much food. I will be eating left overs for a month. Or the dogs will have a nice treat in a few days.
  • If you have any good somewhat easy recipes you would like to share I am all ears.
  • Our little dog chews up everything in sight. It seems like he is always in trouble. I feel bad for him.
  • My hubbys dips snuff. Yuck. Every time I go to Walmart I buy it. Here in town it is $6.00 a can. There I can buy 5 for $20.00.
